Backstory:
A family of elven traditionalists should never have spawned one such as me. All of them, all they care about is keeping Kyonin pure and isolated from the rest of the world. But I never cared about the sanctity of the forest. It was always the lake that called to me and because of it the sea. Its islands, its power, its creatures. A young otter that I bonded with was my only friend. Where the rest of my family shunned the coastline I was always drawn to it and thus they shunned me too. Despondent I threw myself in to drown but found to my surprise,as my friend the Otter pawed at my face, that I could breathe! Something in the water.. a power.. it found me and claimed me, giving me powers arcane and mysterious.

I left the forest behind and traveled to the seas seeking to find out everything that I could about the waters that were the source of my comfort and strength. I heard a rumour about a map to Cycolpean ruins but the ship I was on was captured, and I, enslaved.

Description:
At a height of 6'2" Chaenath is tall. She is also very thin weighing only 95 pounds or so giving her an almost stick like profile.

She has a shock of long and unruly black hair that falls over her shoulders and down her back and her ears poke out of them very visibly. Her skin is very tanned from all the time she has spent out doors and that, combined with her hair, gives her a somewhat dark look.

Her eyes shine brightly though, sometimes they look blue, sometimes they look green... the colours of the ocean.

She has the grace of her people but her movements are self conscious and her mannerisms are odd and stilted as if she isn't used to the company of people and isn't very comfortable with it in any case.

Swum the otter is an almost constant presence next to her. Small, brown, and with prominent white whiskers he is a river otter. A strong swimmer even by otter standards he befriended Chaenath when he inquisitively came up to her during a troubled time in Chaenath's life effectively exiled from her family and living on the banks of Lake Encarthan.
