I will offer up two things...

The only thing I'd suggest is if Glub makes the perception check then retcon Chaenath casting Dispel Magic on him. If it gets rid of Overland flight he'd go plop into the ocean. It was my original plan anyway. Only posted the alternate in case the last ditch Perception check wasn't made.

At best you'd have to do an area dispel. Since you couldn't see the target you couldn't target a specific spell on the Wizard at that time. Given an area dispel affects the highest caster level first, she has multiple affects on her at that level. Basically everything she self cast, so the likelihood would have been low.

Not to mention locating invisible creatures with perception is hard, they get a +20 just for being invisible.


No, Grymp is right: there's no counterspelling option here. Don't sweat it. She had a good run, and sometimes your number just comes up.

I have a strong dislike of the whole raise dead schtick; I'll come up with a new character. But not right now.

Well, if you change your mind, and want to keep playing with Alessandra, we'll find a way to Raise her. But if you'd rather create a new character, that's cool as well.

That's fair, but I would say (if I weren't, you know, dead) that the images DON'T protect from the swarm's effects - in other words, the swarms swarm all over the images and the caster, not damaging the images in any way but not fooled by them either.

Well Chaenath is a full caster, decent knowledge person, debuff, crowd control, and can heal in a pinch too. There's some overlap with Doc but Doc is a great mid range damage dealer to boot.

I think front liner plus face is what would cover our bases. Swashbuckler type?

Edit: Alessandra's player is back on the boards I think maybe they can come back?
