Melaphi Dasan |

As soon as the vampire appears next to Victor, a sheet of flame bursts from Melaphi's hands, just barely catching the creature at the edge of it.
Burning hands, DC 15 Ref for half damage. 15' cone only catches the vampire.
Fire Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 3) = 12
Vampire completes its turn. I'm going to tick another 5 for Feth, and 5 for Victor as well now.
Melaphi follows up with another spell, this one to heal his own wounds.
CLW: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Victor Ravenport |

The shrouded figure commonly refered to as Victor, stumbles backwards as he hears his rip-cage give away slightly, however, due to his undead state he merely takes a single step backwards and raises his hands once more, to channel forth a creeping cloud of dark energy.
For a fraction of a moment in reality, but far longer in his mind, Garroth's vision is filled with a worrying sight. Gnashing forms, with too many mouths, too many limbs and too much and yet too little flesh, wiry human figure, pale and hairless with cavernous eyes., They are grotesque mockeries of reality beyond comprehension whose disturbing otherness cannot be encompassed by a mortal's frail mind.
Casting Defensively: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
As per the Scare spell. DC 19 will or Garroth becomes frightened for 3 rounds. If he succeeds, he is just shaken for a single round.

Fethryth Teldanona |

I am not sure if you're getting another 5 hp tick from Fethryth. DM-Kal will have to confirm

Garroth Seren |

Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
So, Scare spell not withstanding, let me know when I get to control Garroth again.

Sarcon swings at the vampire ankle as he lies on the ground.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage: 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (2, 3) + 9 = 14
Before standing up and F*@% itEDIT: Attacking Garroth.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Damage: 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (4, 4) + 9 = 17
Crit
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Damage: 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (4, 3) + 9 = 16

Victoria Fate |

Fate will take a step back from the vampire and pull out a scroll of Bless and prepare to read it.
Five-foot step and a standard
One of her curses sadly makes it take a standard action to pull out a scroll, and she doesn't have a handy haversack yet, so that's her turn :(

Garroth Seren |

Before standing up and F*&~ itEDIT: Attacking Garroth.
Uhm, im no expert, but why not just use the first roll after you decided to edit? With his shield Garroths AC is 20 so its gonna miss.
One of her curses sadly makes it take a standard action to pull out a scroll, and she doesn't have a handy haversack yet, so that's her turn :(
I dont think a haversack is going to change the action requirements. Everyone seems to agree it shouldnt when I googled it.

Fethryth Teldanona |

Either way is fine. If I wanted to have a cheesy "not really a curse" curse, I would have picked Legalistic lol
Hey now, you can turn legalistic into a fun curse provided that the DM really holds you to it. I have high hopes for it in another pbp....
*whispers* I know that's you under the mask Fortinbras ;)

DM-Kal |

Concentration: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34
The vampire resents Marcello's sword in his back, so he turns to leech away the fighter's life force.
Vampiric Touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13, Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 6) = 13
The vampire appears to recover somewhat from his wounds, though instead of flesh a dark, shadowy fluid fills the gaps.
Party up!

Melaphi Dasan |

Melaphi moves in next to Marcello, drawing his dagger as he does so. He feints an attack against the vampire, hoping to distract it, but fails to do so.
Aid Another to Marcello's next attack roll: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
He will also use saving shield for +2 to his AC if Marcello is attacked this turn by the vampire.
Do I get another tick of 5 life from Feth?

![]() |

Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13 Damage: 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (2, 6) + 11 = 19
I think... that I am going to take a break, learn to code and find out why this dice hate me.
Sapped by some weird spell from the vampire, Marcello fumbles his grip and swings at the dangerous shadow of the vampire.

Victor Ravenport |

Victor takes a quick step backwards, putting himself out of the vampire's imminent reach and raises his hands dismissively outwards. His long-gone tongue twists and curls, as he breaks into a croaking, whispering gibbering speech in a tongue that displeases mortal ears.
Adressing the vampire in the heat of battle.
Necril. The language of the dead.
"You have made a grave mistake, Kindred. Yet all is not lost and we can both part with our existence unhindered. The female you kidnapped is the property of the Whispering Way and we have high ambitions for her. Release her and the Whispering Tyrant will be pleased, continue this headless act, and the full force of Gallowspire will fall upon you.
It is in your best interest that this needless fighting ends at once."
In case he isn't too enraged to listen to reason, here is my diplomacy check.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28

Victoria Fate |

@Feth hehe, I know. I know several people that actually treat it like a curse. I'm just joking about all the cheesy uses of it I've seen.

Marcello holds his attack til Sarcon flank with him.
Knowing that the Vampire was casting spells, Marcello prepared himself for fire hitting him like he had seen before.
While preparing, he tries to signal Sarcon to move in behind the Vampire so they flank him.

![]() |

As there is no spell thrown at him, Marcello jumps at the chance after Sarcon's attack to follow up with a slash of the sword.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Damage: 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (3, 3) + 11 = 17
IS THE CURSE BROKEN?!
Crit Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Crit Damage: 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (1, 4) + 11 = 16

Victoria Fate |

Sorry, didn't realize I was up again
"Now, the tables have turned, foolish vampire."
Fate steps back, carefully measuring the distance for her spell. Splaying out her fingers, she fires out another cone of flame.
Burning Hands (Reflex DC 15): 3d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 2) = 6

DM-Kal |

Victor casts a spell while Marcello and Sarcon maintain their assault, though only Marcello gets in a hit. Melaphi aids Marcello while Fate attacks with magic. Surprisingly, Fate bursts back into the room.
Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
The vampire seems generally unconcerned with Fate's spell, making only a token gesture to shield himself. Instead he is preoccupied by the full-metal fighter before him.
Slam vs Marcello: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10, Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Yet Melaphi's prodding dagger is much too distracting to work around.
Party up!

Fethryth Teldanona |

Surprisingly, Fate bursts back into the room.
Just double checking, you mean Feth not Fate right?

Fethryth Teldanona |

Fethryth bursts into the room in dramatic fashion. The right side of her face and torso are covered in blood, she's sporting an impressive black eye and the ends of her hair have been singed off. She points at the Crystal Zombie and shrieks in a voice that gets higher in pitch as she goes.
"That thing is not Crystal! The real one has been busy bashing my HEAD against THE WALL!!"
She glares daggers at the vampire. Rage-fueled magic bursts from her to strike the undead creature.
Magic Missile #1: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Magic Missile #2: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Advance. Slash. Retreat. Protect. Repeat.
Marcello was getting into a proper stance as a trained fighter, not swinging his sword like an idiot having a hard time with what is the grip and the blade.
Brushing off the slam by using his heavy armor, he sees an opening from Melaphis attack and slash once again at the vampire.
Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Damage: 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (2, 4) + 11 = 17
Retreat. Protect and back all over again, nothing but the vampire mattered in Maecellos mind.

Garroth Seren |

Suddenly stopping, Garroth looked around confused before collecting himself and turning back towards the melee. With a roar of "Get away from him!!" He bounded across the room, the curved hook of his sword whipping towards Marcellos legs once more.
Charge, Flank, Trip: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 2 + 2 = 20

Melaphi Dasan |

"So much love and harmony....", Melaphi mutters in irritation.
Life continues to flow from him to Feth. He takes a step back and heals his wounds.
Tick for 5 from Feth to Melaphi.
CLW: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Reserve saving shield to try and block Garroth attacking Marcello if Marcello stands to attack.
"Where did she go Feth?"
Fate then Vampire are up.

Victoria Fate |

"Leave us alone, veak-villed half-orc."
Fate begins the motions of another spell, waving her arms like a conductor.
"It is bad luck to meddle vith Fate."
Fate casts Ill Omen on Garroth. There is no save.

Sarcon takes advantage of his new angle on combat and attacks the vampire again

I like the enthusiasm on hurting the vampire... but I think we are missing his turn.

The vampire moves to his table to grab his book, but is alarmed to find it missing. "Where is my book?!" he cries in frustration as he whirls on Sarcon.

Awwwwww yesssss
Party up!

Victor Ravenport |

Victor utilizes his perfectly fine cover to direct yet another magical barrage against Garroth. Whispering the same words, with the same hoarse and unpleasant voice.
Once again: for a fraction of a moment in reality, but far longer in his mind, Garroth's vision is filled with a worrying sight.
Just in case you should have forgotten: As per the Scare spell. DC 19 will or Garroth becomes frightened for 3 rounds. If he succeeds, he is just shaken for a single round.

![]() |

Getting up from the ground, Marcello moves up and in front of Melaphi, blocking the way for the vampire.
Provoking AOO from vampire and Garroth if he isn't running away screaming.
Lfting his sword, he waits for Mega-Sarcon to move and takes the swing once flanking with him.

Another 5 tick for Feth
