Melaphi appears to relax even more once within the walls of the ruined castle. He looks around the courtyard for entrances into the castle itself, and areas that are so far decayed as to want to stay well away from if possible.

Sarcon keeps his eyes on the fog as he waits for the others to get through the gate.


The castle seems fairly straightforward, with three large spires stretching towards the sky about 60 feet away. The near spire seems the most grand, or would have been at one time. To the east and west, large open corridors lead to darkened wings of the structure. Perhaps as much mansion as castle, it seems easy to imagine a lush garden in a past era where now the ground refuses to drink the water stagnating in the courtyard. Stone archways and stairs dot the inside of the walls, indicating that there may have once been open-air halls for some purpose or another. Yet now the stone walls sag, sconces hang loosely from rusting rivets, doors lie rotted off their hinges, and murky waters make the approach decidedly uninviting.

However, easily visible to all who enter, there appears to be a stack of stones against the base of the main spire, neatly formed from some of the best remaining blocks around.

Some of the stones in the main spire are unmatched, as though they'd been replaced recently.
Knowledge(engineering) DC 12:
The main spire is clearly under repair, though whatever workmen have undertaken the project do not seem present currently.

Shouting to no-one in particular, Marcello seems pleased with letting one wolf meet it's end in the ground.
Turning his attention to the other wolf, Marcello pulls the sword back and swing from the side against the wolf in front of him,

Cutting through both wolves Marcello stops the blade from swinging wildly around.
Noting that there were no nearby wolves, Marcello instead move to the other wolf by the bear... *What was the name of the bear again? Shilby?...* Shrugging it off he readies himself to hit another wolf.

According to the map, there's only the one wolf/threatened square in Trilby's path of retreat anyway, so...


Ah yes, I forgot Marcello killed the other. You can take 6 damage off of Trilby (and change the withdraw action if you like). Also, how do you manage to fire a heavy crossbow once per round? I suppose you could have rapid reload, but your feats are not explicitly called out on your sheet that I could see.
