It was down for 9 or 10 days. That certainly cost the company some cash. I'm sure the IT dept had some sleepless nights. I'll have to go an buy something to help out.

My intent is to get this complicated multi-front battle up and going today. It'll probably be in piecemeal initially as I have a something to do for a couple hours this afternoon.

@Nym - Don't forget Desmond has a menacing weapon so any flanks against a target threatened by Desmond are increased by 2.

I just found the feat flinging charge which would work great with Desmond since the scout archetype would allow him to get sneak attack on both the thrown weapon and the charge attack. I would have to pick up quick draw somewhere, but still it is very cool.

I'll get up the enemies actions on the Eastern Front later today.

I'm listening to the Icewind Dale Novels on Audible (Having read the whole Drizzt books years ago) and it's really rekindled a liking for a Sword and Dagger assassin.

Plus, y'know Melee is awesome.
Can't say I've really enjoyed playing a straight Mage in the last decade.

Closest thing was my hexcrafter Magus and he was was more a blast fighter than proper Mage....

I'm actually the opposite. I tend to favor casters and really enjoy figuring out the intricacies of magic systems. Going full DPS rogue is way out of my wheelhouse, but it's a super fun ride.

Did the suffocation on the other vrock and/or the undeath to death work? Would that be double like an AoE spell on a swarm?

As far as undeath to death goes...yes the horde is like a swarm but they are medium sized creatures. I'm not sure, without reading the specifics of the spell, but I thought there was a HD limit like a circle of death. If that is the case, the zombie horde is 20 HD. Although I don't recall you casting that during this battle but admittedly, I've been swamped with other things, so I may have missed it.

So, depending on if we're doubling the dice or not (HD might be a crazy thing to double as opposed to damage) that's at least 34 HD.

Since my daughter has gone off to college, I thought that I would have more time to post. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. My posting has been severely limited and that's not fair to you - the best group of online players ever. I don't really want to close down the game, but I'm going to put this game on hiatus for a couple months. I plan to reassess my time limitations toward the end of the year. This is still one of my favorite games. I hope things calm enough so we can return to it!

I'm ready to resume the game. I would like to focus on having the party destroy the three shrines of power.

You know that the levels of the dungeon that they are on and you know that you must destroy each and consecrate altar in order to weaken Orcus' Avatar.

Shrine 1: Level 4 "the Upper Temple of Orcus" this is the level the group met Meath'd on. You just did not go far enough to find the temple.

Shrine 2: Level 9: The Lower Temple of Orcus. You have not been on this level.

Shrine 3: Level 14: The Chapel of Orcus. You have not been here but you were close when you were on level 14A "The Refugee of Tsars where Desmond had the evening with the Vampire. This is where you fought Captain Luther and took his evil frost vicious dwarven waraxe. You also met Nym here.

Does someone have teleportation or airwalk spells? A way to get you back into and onto level 4 dungeon quickly.
