Looking at your build Karnog, I'd suggest and easy thing to do is ask to swap your protection- Defence subdomain for Good-Archon.

This lets you emit an Archons Aura, which doesn't suck at all, plus gives you planar Ally as a domain spell to summon Archons only.

That would give you a fairly legit access to an angel friend.

Also, given the amount of undead in this game, Holy Knight Vindicator would work nicely and give you something else to do when. Your spells wonk out...

I have been using the defense auras lately. Not sure how much of a difference they've made but I like the theme of Karnog being all "Build and Protect" to assist our big hitters. Plus the free resistance bonus to saves just jumped to +4, which is nice and saves a bunch of GP (and my shoulders slot).

He helped to build Orktown, and has been steadily increasing his normal build/repair skills and linguistic awareness as the team has been adventuring.

Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and spend the cash for a planar ally, then keep them well back. An azata for bardic stuff or some little guys for scouting might be nice. Keeping them out of trouble (barring AoEs and death effects of course) is kinda what Karnog has been all about.

I would let you retrain the lasso, if you want. I permitted Felicitas to retrain her character.

A mount would be difficult in the dungeon, think about all the climbing and small passages you've been through.

Remember there are sections where your summoning is limited or modified along with your connection with your deity. Be forewarned there are other areas in the dungeon that are worse.

It's a large party but this group has been together a long time and i know you are committing to its success. (I include Duncan in that statement, since he's been in this campaign and numerous others of mine). I'd permit adding the cohort/companion/aspect but remember fairgame they could die.

I've always wanted Kalim to be close to a Typical Evil Sorcerer Obsessed with Power, with a humble beginning and a close friendship with Karnog keeping him from going full stereotype. He's never going to refer to his Angelic Aspect spell as angelic, heh.

I was joking about the FLY spell, actually.
I built Duncan with the Celestial Armor and shield specifically for the 7hours of overland flight it can give you.

Featherfall is on the shield to catch me if it gets dispelled.

I appreciate that, but not gonna mess with cohorts at this time.

I'll mull over the feat and such, but it'll likely be more of the same. Already planned on not summoning, my personal combat spell list is gonna make him a dwarf of vengeance against evildoers, I hope.

Online I played in a Legacy of Fire AP up to the 15th level climax. Tabletop I had a 15th level swashbuckler/Paladin in 3.5. I table ran 2 campaigns that went to about 13.

I asked another person to join the group. It's a good spot to add to the group. I know we have 7 players but this player is an active poster that blends well, I really think if he joins it could add to the group. I know that will put us up to 8 people but this group and campaign can handle it. Besides we are about to enter some homebrew territory with Grung's history, so I can make it ever more kick a$$ difficult. Especially, if you split the party again. Seriously, I think we've all shown the commitment and flow to the game and I don't think it would be a major issue.

I probably should have asked the group first though.

Played Legacy of Fire to the end, that was about 16th or 17th lvl irl.

Currently playing a level 17 eldritch knight in another PbP, that one is gonna wrap up shortly.

Also ran Savage Tide, RotRL, and CotCT irl, ST ended up around 18th level, the others were around 16th-17th iirc.

Also ran Kingmaker, that one ended up around 15th I think

Still the best campaign I've ever played in. The posting pace was pretty frantic and we kept that up for a good long time with almost no party dropouts. Plus I got to play 3 different chars.

Duncan, Desmond, Nym and Felicitas on one side, Grungsdi, Karnog, Kalim on the other?

That will give us some beatsticks, AoE, and CC on each flank. Karnog has a couple of summons, so that will help as well.

If our new PC shows up, they can take the less defended spot.

Plus, Aurora can serve as aerial reconnaissance and communications, since she has good flight, stealth, and telepathy.

The new PC was catching up on some reading over the weekend. I wanted him to understand the party dynamics and see my GM'ing methods. I just let him that there was no rush on getting the character ready and that this multi-front battle would take awhile. It'll be easy to slip him into the scene since this essentially army vs army.

Sounds like a plan. With large scale battle Desmond should be able to get lots of easy flanks, as well as simply use hit and run tactics if needed.

I've sate down to update the game a couple times recently but each time the Paizo site has either ate the post or been down for maintenance. Here's a quick posting update for everyone. I'm going to try to get a short post up this evening (Saturday) that post will be from Aurora's point of view to give everyone an update as to what she sees.

I need to work in RL this entire weekend, so any posting that I get down will be in the evening.

The new player has sent me his character but I haven't had a chance to review it yet. I'll try to get that done by Monday.
