Would ya believe that I took a special Dwarven feat that lets me teleport everyone?

That may not be the best use of feats. The other spellcaster will attest that teleportation spells have limited use in this dungeon and they often misfire due to the potent demon god magic. That being said teleporting into level 4 is one level where the spell works without a hitch.

Hooray, RA is back!
Karnog has Wind Walk but I'd like to keep that in reserve as a means of egress. Perhaps Kalim has a teleport spell?

I'm giving everyone time to check in before we dash off to the Dungeon. I posted a map but I needed to make sure I remembered how to do it. The map I posted was essentially the areas previously explored by some of the party members.
Check in if you intend to play. So far we have:
Grung
Karnog
Nym
I'm not sure if everyone receives New Post notifications, this site has been kind of wonky, so if you are in any games with other players let them know that the game has resumed.

Heck, Desmond is probably boozing it up with some half devil oracle courtesan searching for the meaning of life.
Hey, I find that offensive!
I did no searching for the meaning of life while boozing it up with that half devil oracle courtesan!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am here and excited to resume! However I'm also currently in the middle of a move across the country to a new job which is very time consuming and stressful, so I can't promise dedicated posting for a little bit yet. But I'm here!
I think you were a freshman or sophomore in college when this game began. That ages me.
What city are you moving to? time zone?
| Desmond Aeros |
You're only as old as you let yourself believe :)
I won't say the exact city (call me paranoid about privacy) but I'm in southeastern America and in the Eastern time zone. So my time zone hasn't changed from where I was before.
I can call a hound archon for around 6500gp, and it should stick around for 15 days or so. Unless it gets killed, of course.
I dont have that coin on hand, at least I dont think so, and I dont think we got any treasure from defeating the siege (which I'm good with, mind, just noting it down).
For that, we would have a relatively bad combatant, but one with constant magic circle vs. Evil, detect evil, who can cast continual flame and aid at will. At the least, he could provide Desmond with a teleporting flanker buddy and keep him from being dominated or otherwise controlled.
Thoughts?
Dont' you have loot to get rid of from your spread sheet?
Even though many of the enemy were destroyed, and the summoned creatures vanished along with their gear, you did destroy a few called enemies that did not have evil gear.
They had gear and you would have been able to gather and liquidate items into the following amount:
427 PP
21,067 GP
237,689 SP
176,278 CP
16,987 GP in Gems
Good point, I forgot we were on the way to sell off a bunch of stuff when the siege went down.
Doing the math now, keeping the potions, scrolls, and anything anyone has spoken for.
Also keeping for the time being the Large Unholy greataxe +2, the circlet of persuasion, the necklace of spellturning 1/day (<8th lvl spell).
Assuming we can sell everything over the time between the siege and now, that nets everyone:
20,568.04gp - That includes Desmond, Nym, Kalim, Felicitas, Grungsdi, Duncan, and Karnog.
Should anyone want the bag of holding type II, the circlet, or necklace, sound off. Otherwise I imaging Karnog is carrying them around in his BOH with the potions.
Also, as an FYI, here are the potions we have remaining and unclaimed.
CLW 12
CMW 19
CSW 12
CCW 4
Antitoxin 1
Shield of Faith 1
Endure Elem-Fire 1
Endure Elem-Cold 1
Oil Magic Weapon +1 4
Oil Magic Weapon +2 (CL 8) 2
Bears End 2
Delay Poison 1
Prot Good 1
Prot Law 1
Rem Disease 2
Rem Curse 2
Sanctuary 1
Foxs Cunning 1
Expeditious Retreat 1
Oil of Darkness 1
Bestow Curse 1
Inf LW 1
Eagle's Splendor 1
Remove Fear 1
Remove Paralysis 1
Water Breathing 1
Yes, you can sell your items.
That's the net for each PC, Kalim.
We had quite a lot of things that hadn't been sold as of yet, as well as a bunch of coin & gems.
If you needed any particular kind of gemstone (like diamond dust or rubies or what have you), they were likely available to substitute in place of your coin, just FYI.
| Desmond Aeros |
Excellent. That combined with whoring myself out to a vampire leaves Desmond sitting on 40k.
I will again be searching for a ring of invisibility. Depending on the availability of that will determine the rest of my gear purchases.
FYI: this level of the dungeon is a low difficulty level meant for a less experienced party. Since I didn't want you to barrel through this level, I've added several twists and tweaks to make it quite a bit more challenging. This made sense to me in the overall story since the dungeon dwellers and Orcus do know you are coming after his shrines.
Before I rebooted this campaign I spent a few days trying to create some interesting encounters for you and me.
Cool!
I ran into a similar issue GMing a while back and I handled it by handwaving the lesser encounters (with a thematic description) and using the "bosses" of the area as regular encounters.
Yep. There are more bosses...many more bosses. However, I wanted to make sure it made sense with the overall storyline.
I should be getting the enemy's first action up by late morning.
