If Izz starts to vomit again, will it be considered a range or touch attack?

Technically, it would be a ranged touch attack though I would allow a REF save.

Brew,...can we assume that if the map does not have a direction pointing arrow that the top of the page is assumed to be north?

I had some great humor of posts that for some reason earlier never saved....so I apologize to all for not having a bit more story and flow in some of my last couple of posts as I try to post and at least get some actions in to keep the game going...

Silver Crusade

I am a bit concerned if Havelockk continues pulling anything from his arcane poop. :-D

Brew are you updating the map? I did not see a map at all when I went to the map page.

Yes. Map should be updated

Nope, not the gameplay thread. I am the one who must be cursed. Time go burn some incense, buy a rabbits foot and start wearing my shamrock boxers.
1 successful hit out of 7 attempts? Not liking those odds.

Brew, quick background question. Is there an emblem or anything for the Pathfinders? Just a made up part of my backstory is that I have an all gray shield, the symbol for an out of work mercenary. I’d probably get the emblem/sigil/whatever added to my shield when we return to town.

The official symbol of the PFS is the Glyph of the Open Road.

Additionally Caoilte, I noticed your entry for deity was still blank. Absolutely voluntary to have one but you might want to check out Cayden Cailean as he seems tailor made for Caoilte.

Silver Crusade

I was expecting Caoilte to reply with something along the line that his shield was emblazoned with a glyph of the open zipper.

Brew, I like that. I'll put him on my sheet. Thanks. I have to think about the shield, though.

Ok, I adopted Caylen as my diety. One other question. Is it likely that we'll level after this scenario? You explained level progression being based on a low number of xp per adventure, I just don't recall if this scenario would put us over the top.

Not yet. In PFS every secenario is worth 1 XP (some sanctioned modules are worth more, but not this one) and you level every 3 XPs. Everyone save for Tarek will level after the next scenario.

I was out of town and thought i would get a chance to post. It didn't happen. I am still on the road and will post later if it is not too late when we get home.

Great to know we are all set to level at the end of this one. Brew, my understanding is that we can make a lot of changes to our PC, I am not sure how far this can or should go under PFS or under your thoughts.

Personally, I am not planning on making any major changes. I am digging the Magus class.

Yes, you are able to adjust pretty much anything about your character before attaining level 2. After level 2, you are allowed to make some changes via the retraining rules set forth in the Ultimate Campaign Guide. As for how high characters can advance under PFS, I have been trying to figure that out myself. From my research, PFS proper goes until level 11. Up to 11, characters can play in any sanctioned scenario in their appropriate level tier. After 11, there is one seeker arc called Eyes of the Ten which takes characters up to 13 or 14. After that there are several sanctioned modules that can take the characters up to I think 18. I have a list that was recently handed down by the folks who sanction stuff. In addition, there are several mega modules that are sanctioned for play that may be fun to try with new characters down the line. There is a mega-dungeon coming down the pike called the Emerald Spire, which I have a copy coming my way already, that looks like it will be sanctioned for PFS. That would likely be half a campaign in and of itself akin to the old school dungeon crawls like the Temple of Elemental Evil for those of you really old timers like me :)

In any event, there is plenty of content to keep us going for a very long time.

Can you also change your class as well or is just everything else under your current class like skills and feats and spells?

copmc wrote:

I do not think wholly changing your class counts as an adjustment. If you want to switch classes, it would be easier to just roll up a new character . If that is your desire, please feel free to do that. The party is relatively young, so switching now will not hinder you too terribly. Just as an aside, if you want to find more options for divine classses, I just obtained and started reading the Inner Sea Gods which is frankly fantastic. Great mythos and tons of options for divine characters. Another good resource for good divine characters is Chronicle of the Rightous. There are tons of options, either by way of archetype, prestige class or multiclass, to tweak your character.

Silver Crusade

I was looking at the oracle archetype but you do give up a lot when choosing that class. The demo version of herolab does not list the oracle, so I was unable to determine what the build would look like. It just seemed like something I could also develop based on my character's story line so far.

All Right Folks...what is your Pathfinder Soundtrack or Old NWN Soundtrack?

Kat used to show what she was jamming out to.

Thought it might be kinda fun to see what we listen to and then to make a Pathfinder/Praetors Soundtrack. taking 2 of our favorites each.

If I can download them, I don't mind burning the disks and making them available.

I've been listening to an Omaha radio station streamed online 89.7 The River (Alternative, rock, indy, metal and specialty shows) or random channels on Pandora Music Radio.

Though if you want a song for the drinks after the debrief, there's always Halestorm's Here's to Us.

And just to be eeeeevviiiiillllll *eyes their DiM* I should point out Kongo's I'm Only Joking.

though for true evil, it has to be -->this<--.

And if you want Wolfmother, I would have to point out Joker and the Thief.

Congrats guys, you have made it through another adventure relatively unscathed. Chronicle sheets are done and will be mailed out shortly. I am also emailing everyone an inventory tracking sheet. Per PFS rules, you need to keep that up to date and instructions on how to fill them out can of course be found in the PFS Guide to Organized Play. For the archers, I am ruling that you are each able to recover half of your spent arrows which means that Izzy spent 6 arrows, Eloriand 1 and Kat 3.

Before I can report the scenario, each of you must make a roll for a potential convention boon. For participating in the PFS PBP Gameday 2 event, you are qualified to receive a potential boon. In the gameplay thread, each of you must roll a single unmodified d20. The roll cannot be edited after posting, so basically draft your dice expression and let fly. I will post a sample in the gameplay thread.

I am set to run the next scenario. I hope to start the next scenario by next weekend. As we are short on time, this will be run as a home game and not as a second scenario for the con. In the meantime, keep your eyes on your PMs here at Paizo and feel free to post over on the Obsidian Portal site.

Great game guys, and good luck on your boon rolls!

Awesome Brew, thanks again. Looking forward to the next game. Now I understand the Boon roll. I read this thread after going to the game play thread.

Clarification on Character Retraining

Hey gang, I just wanted to clarify, aka revise, aka answer correctly, a question copmc posed earlier about character retraining before obtaining second level. After reviewing this post I realized that you may, in fact change ANY aspect of your character before advancing to second level, including class and race. So I stand corrected and yes copmc you may change your class if you so choose.

Many of the class and archetype options are contained online on the PRD and all available classes, races, prestige classes and archetypes are also listed on the d20PFSRD. Let me know if anyone would like to change an aspect of their character. Everyone save for copmc will level if the party successfully completes the next scenario. COPMC has two more sessions to go before he is looking at level 2. As always, let me know if you folks have any questions.

See you on the boards.

Folks, this was a awesome adventure and I had a great time with this. Brew thanks so much for taking the extra time and effort to host this. I cannot wait to see what we do next.

If I understand how loot is divided....after a game/campaign we can each purchase any of the treasure items. For example, the masterwork short sword we found could actually be purchased by each of us...

At the moment I am not planning on any major changes...but I am gong to relook Havelockk and what I may want to tweak. Skill Point distribution come to my mind.

I need to read on acquisition of spells one more time as well.

It was a great campaign. Thanks for GMing.
Does all the other stuff we found just get liquidated to a gold value? I wasn't sure if the dog collar and weapons in the armory were able to be sold since nobody had the appraise skill.

Yes. Loot in PFS is distributed in a somewhat unusual way in order to keep track of everything in the organized play campaign. Loot is essentially liquidized and every member gets the same gold award at the end of the scenario. As long as you find the items during gameplay, they are included in the final total. PFS assumes the party has enough resources and know how to get this done. The last scenario was aactually a converted module that was sanctioned for PFS so both mechanics were available.

Brew,
when do we make a profession check for a day job to get a few extra gold coins?

Day Job Professional Soldier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

do we get to take 10 as well?

When will we get our FP rewards?

copmc wrote:

Not sure what you are referring to there. Everyone should have received their chronicle for the last scenario. Everyone earned 1 XP and 1 Prestige Point along with a gold award. Please let me know if you did not get the Chronicle Sheet. What is FP?

Silver Crusade

FP? Have you so quickly forgotten? What else could it stand for than Fabulous Points. I must have earned at least a few by now :-)

lmao! Good one, you caught me in mid week analytical mode. I shall designate Kat to award FPs, as she is in the best position to judge the fab.

Excellent! Time to break out the chaps and do some lunges :-)

nothing to see here:

RT2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
RT3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
RT4: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Eloriand: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Isador: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
