And just when my stellifera hit 7th level...
Got a question before I pick my character. I have a mystic who uses an elite hoverchair. The item description is clear that it can fly above water, can it either natively or have an item installed to allow it to move underwater?
Either way, I'll be playing at level 5. (Note that 7-07 is a 5-8, so if your PC doesn't have at least 11 XP going in, you'll have to swap for the finale.)

![]() |

Twila-5 will be level 6 for both games.

cmlobue |

The chair says it has three "utility gear slots", but it doesn't look like an armor upgrade would be usable there. Hydrojet in armor is likely the only workable solution, even if that would require some... creative engineering.
Then again, the party probably doesn't need a third spellcaster. My solarian can at least pretend to be a speed bump for all the operatives.

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

The way I read the hoverchair is that it essentially has a land speed, so the lenient reading is that any movement that is possible with a land speed should also work underwater. For a swim speed, you'd need something else.

Could all of you please sign in on the RPG Chronicles, and upload your tokene + init/perc to the first slide?

I'll look into buying Twila-5 another weapon today.

![]() |

I've purchased a hydrojet armor upgrade for 1400 credits, but I think I'll stick with the weapons I have.

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

Did I miss the answer to whether we could upgrade or would have to buy new?
From the Lorespire guide:
Applying and Transferring Fusions
The Society has specialists at the Lorespire Complex trained in Mysticism who can apply or swap out fusions for agents of the Starfinder Society. This service is free but is only available before the briefing or once the adventure is complete unless stated in the adventure. Only the service is free; characters must still pay the normal cost for transferring the fusion.
Selling Gear
All gear is sold back for 10% of the credits the character originally paid. Partially used consumables cannot be sold back. A pregenerated character's gear can never be sold.
Underwater is not explicitly a fusion, but that feels like a mistake, since it sings and dances like a fusion, so I'll allow the price upgrade.

Hate to do this but I'm going to drop out of the game.
Qstor is looking to play 1-08 so maybe he could take my place.
I'd like to thank Kludde for all the great games. Some of the other players in this game have also GMed other games I've been in, I've had fun in all of their games too. I've had fun playing with all the players too. I appreciate Twila-5 trying to keep Jek from blowing themself up.
Starfinder Socity has been fun I like the scenarios, and the people playing in Organized play, but I really want to get back to playing a game in a way that is not so restricted especially how playable species access is restricted. I've sold all my PF2e and remaster books, I'd like to keep playing Startfinder but I'm afraid I'll sell all my books if I keep thinking about how you need to play almost 1400 scenarios to get enough ACP to play all the species, which is impossible to do when there are only around 150 scenarios, so boxing my Starfinder books up to hide away for now. I haven't slept much since the election so kind of losing my mind if you can't tell. Hope to be back someday after I get some sleep and I'm not so stressed out.
Jek puts on a sad song and leaves the room...

I'll miss playing with you, but I understand that if the game's not fun, there's not much point in continuing. Take care of yourself (that's both Twila-5 and me talking), and I hope you find some fun you can fully enjoy to help get you through the rough times.

The pleasure of having you at the table was all mine, and I echo Twila's sentiment (and please check your private messages).
So as Jekcedo's patrolling days are over, I've invited qstor to join our session, so please bear with me as he settles in.

Thanks, everyone for the kind words.
Besides not sleeping for days after the election I'm out of work taking care of my mother who is 80 with dementia. I just got back from the Dr today she lost a lot of weight suddenly and now her Dr wants to do lots of cancer testing, so I'm just a big ball of stress overreacting to everything.
Once I get some rest and clear my head so I can think clearly again, I hope to catch up to you in another game.
Thanks for all the songs!

I hope you can find some non-SFS games that will let you play the races you choose.
I still feel like I could sleep for another week, but after finally getting some sleep I've been trying to deal with my SFS frustrations more constructively. Stellifera are my favorite species in Starfinder, I always thought they were unplayable in SFS but thanks to seeing Gold-Flecked Black being played I started looking more into it and found the answer on my bookshelf.
I was brainstorming ideas for SFS in another section of the forums recently and someone told me some of my ideas sound like the old vanities from PF1e so I have been reading up on those I really hope they come back in SFS2e Jek would love to open a record store maybe even with a pizza parlor attached with enough pizza topping options to keep a shirren happy.
Before playing in SFS 90% of the games I played in were all homebrew. I also just found the thread on Revising "Run as Written" It looks like the the rules for running scenarios have been clarified and loosened, so I'm going through the scenarios I own to see which ones have the most room to play around with. As I'm typing this I just realized I could play any species I wanted to as the main NPC in Acts of Association.
Feeling hopeful again, once I'm well rested I'll be back for some more SFS

Imodea, god of brown pants and protector of travellers

I just realised I'll need to swap in another PC for the second half as that's a 5-8.
As for Acts of Association, yes you certainly can. I've done it.
And as for the election - I'd rather not think about it.

I'm getting ready to get back into playing again and have a question about buying and selling equipment. Since Jek dropped out early on do I need to sell the equipment I bought during this mission for 10% or by dropping out does it mean this mission never happened for Jek and that equipment was never bought?

You still have all the original packaging and labels, right? The nice store owner says since you didn't get a chronicle, you never got to record those purchases.

Waiting to see if Stell or anyone (Gold-Flecked Black?) can fit through the serpent's hole before Twila-5 goes to try to disarm and unlock the door. Seems like a risky time to split the party.

Safe travels and happy holidays! I'll be cooking a lot tomorrow, so no guarantees on posting until the 26th.

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

Happy Christmas everyone! I hope to resume service sometime this week!

How hurt does Teltham look? Twila-5's worried about Oshessa coming in from behind with otherwise-innocent brainwashed backup, so if Teltham looks nearly finished, she'd be tempted to pull back and watch for her.
@Team: thoughts?

If you had to guess, damage would be over half right now.

No day job for Kalhoun - he is Instructing a new recruit.

Apologies for the delay in creating chronicles - I'm traveling currently and a bit under water in terms of time

![]() |

Heheh. "Underwater." We'll see you when you come up for air. Safe travels!

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

Apologies once again for the delay. Let me know if everything is correct on them!
I'm looking to start the next game sometime after the weekend - watch this spot!

Chronicle received. Looks good. I enjoyed the adventure.
Stell is still 5th level for one more scenario. She purchased the advanced medkit to replace her basic one. I double checked her encumbrance and with the industrial backpack, she is just at the limit of 7 bulk.
Ready for the next adventure when everyone else is.

Chronicle received; looks good!
One of the boons says we should also receive the "Playing a Mormalaw" appendix. A quick search of Paizo's site and aonsrd.com didn't reveal it. To be fair, I wasn't planning on making a morlamaw character, so no need to dig it up for me. Does anyone else want it?
Looking forward to the next game! Twila-5 will still be level 6.

Chronicle looks good. Collecting boons for species I won't get to play in this system...
Kalhoun remains at level 5 for the second part. Looking forward to it.

![]() |

Morlamaws were subsequently published in Alien Archive 3.
Ah, thanks! I saw their stats on aonsrd, but wasn't sure if the appendix had any additional information. I haven't received a boon like this before.

![]() |

I've filled out RPG Chronicles for the new game.

![]() |

Not feeling well today. I'll try to catch up when my brain is more functional. Please bot if needed, but I should be back before we hit combat. (I'd better be!)

![]() |

While I as a player want to thoroughly explore this obstacle, Twila-5 is more concerned about the safety of the missing team. She'll argue against lingering, but won't mutiny if the group chooses otherwise.

![]() |

Stell doesn't want to explore it for any reason other than to see if the other team stopped here. If no evidence is found of their presences, she will support withdrawing and heading on to the place they planned to explore.

Dirk has the highest combat bonus, so let's add the Ghost Killer fusion to his weapon of choice. Or since he took the trailblazer fusion, Kalhoun perhaps should take the Ghost Killer.

I can take it but I don't think it goes on a solar weapon? Not sure.

Dang! Sorry to hear that. I hope you and your family make a full and speedy recovery.
