If Karina sends anyone, the familiar is going through. Just in case it's longer than 30ft.
I can't really explain the door set up better. There is a panel that's about the size of a book or a laptop, that is flat and not made of the same metal as the walls. A small green light shines from the panel. touching it with palm of your hand opens the door.
I know you tried that on similar doors before, but for whatever reason, this area has power and the openers function where the other part there was no light, no power.

That makes sense. I do have to ask, will Inventor be allowed as an Archetype to take eventually? She wouldn't lean too heavily into it, and admittedly it's so she can take Reverse Engineer specifically, now that the action economy of her spells is a bit different..

Enjoy the havoc now that Karina has switched to the remastered version. Spirit object is a bit less powerful right now at 2d4 and not 3d4, but I can also throw normal spells into the mix now that it's one action.
The changes to Baba Yaga Witch are as follows, for the record:
- Spirit Object is now a sustained 1-action spell, and the damage scales differently. So on the first turn I don't get to attack someone with it, but the damage is higher in subsequent levels and I can cackle it.
- The Familiar of Obscuring Snowfall is the new familiar ability, instead of the ambiguous emanation, it's now a burst that dazzles creatures. And snow.

I agree that it affects enemies only.

In a holding pattern until you decide to move forward or return to Torch. Either is fine with me, but you will likely loose Ba'hahk (unless the player suddenly returns) either way.

I'm not surprised people may be dropping.
Beyond the fact that player loss happens in PbP, often without communication, which is more frustrating when you're the GM in my experience, this adventure has felt weird to me, and harder to engage in.
I want to say before I say anything else that what I am about to say has nothing to do with any character, any player, and especially not Dr. Evil. I think the players we have, and have had, are solid, and same for the characters.
I absolutely agree with Alpha that the vibes are excellent. To me, the problem is a lack of any sense of narrative progression.
We are here to find Khonnir Bane. But, as far as we know, we have made no progress in doing so. We have no idea if we are on the right track, we have found no clues, the skulks (I think that is what they are) didn't tell us anything about him.
It just feels, at least to me, that we are wandering from random fight to random fight that have little to no narrative purpose. It leads me to feeling frustrated often.
If Torch knew about the ship and our job was 'explore the strange ship', then I think I'd be feeling that sense of narrative progression. But it's not. It's find Khonnir Bane, and it just does not feel like we are doing that.
To me, it just often feels like we're spinning our wheels. Though, part of that might be on me, as I tend to play more dynamic characters, and Zaria is more quiet and stoic.
All that said, I don't intend to go anywhere.
I kind of think the same thing about the progress towards finding Khonnir Baine. Your group has left some opportunities for that on the table, but there is a lot of just nosing around that is away from the direction you got fired up on in the introduction.
From what I have read, its not the best written AP, but it is unique with the technology angle that speaks well to some people.

I think its definitely much more of a mystery, who-dun-it kind of adventure. I think dealing with some of the attrition has hurt us when it comes to more ancillary exploration options.
Very much feels like we are supposed to be slowly, exploring and uncovering clues leading to a much greater mystery than just Khonnir Baine missing.
I feel like we are progressing, though the lack of clues I understand can be frustrating for sure. So far we really haven't encountered anything that indicates we are on the right track though, I'm sure we are lol.

With the apparent loss of Aglippa, I plan to keep the +0 Striking shortsword. It'll be a better melee option than my club, and as a finesse weapon, my to-hit will be better. Depending on who gets added to the game, I may shift Zaria, over time, to a finesse, dual-wield, ranger.

I'm leaning either towards an Investigator or Rogue for skills, or towards a wizard for both arcane casting, and because people say they are bad. If anyone wants to weigh in, feel free :)

Perhaps a Wizard with a rogue like Background and Descent DEX. Kind of semi Kill two birds with one stone?
