            @Clothyard: Some thoughts for you.
I don't think there is much information on the "fallen" noble families of Cheliax, but I do know that in Westcrown, House Krafanis was eradicated and their beautiful vaneo (mansion or manor) has become the home of House Dioso. Maybe that would give you a tie back to the city.
Another possibility might be the Dhaens. There are a couple flavorful paragraphs in the Player's Guide about them that suggest that they were a Westcrown family that fled enemies in the city. Maybe they were one of the beholden houses to House Krafanis or one of the other unknown "fallen" families.
One more angle to consider is the Hellknights. The Order of the Rack is located outside Westcrown and maybe you or your village have done something to raise their ire and you're in the city to see what you might be able to do about it.

@Liranda: Like where you're going with that story, but if you're going expert, you'll have enough skills and skill points to potentially cover a couple different roles. Its the same thing I wound up doing with Auði where he is both face and performer. Maybe you take up the rogue role with some thieving skills given your background.
I would also suggest working with Mini on a different family to have caused the problems other than Thrune. I know they are the classic Cheliax bad guys, but the Thrunes are really based out of Egorian and actually moved the capital from Westcrown to Egorian! There are some other noble families in Westcrown that might give you better rivalries or you could go with a non-noble angle and have it be an extremely popular actor or opera singer who is being protected by noble friends.

Mick Burton was, excuse me, still is the pride of his family. An upcoming lawyer of note within a prestigious firm, most entry persons do their time defending the guilty and fail gloriously. That is how you get promoted. Except Mick Burton must’ve missed the memo; he didn’t succeed at failing. Several of his clients were successfully defended, much to the prosecutors and several important persons dismay. He was not promoted while his less ethical peers passed him by. Ironically, this stagnation of his career merely made him better at his job, as his growing connections with the seedy underbelly hinted at much coverup by the ruling council and the noble families who could do no wrong. He came to the realization that these laws were not for an orderly society but to keep the lower classes suppressed and out of the way. Missing evidence and bought witnesses often times found him in darkened alleys or unventilated backrooms speaking to persons the government would most certainly target with extreme prejudice just to get a lead. While he would never become a partner or be invited to any cocktail parties, he could walk unafraid if alert in any part of town.

I have included a number of theif-like skills in Lirandra's profile, as well as perform and face skills. I have, for the moment left the "bad guy" as a Thrune - but I'm open to suggestions for alternative houses that might work. I thought that there would probably still be minor cousins of the house all over, but I'd be very happy to change.
P.S. I'm always happy (eager) to link backgrounds with other PCs if anyone else is keen?

I like the looks of miss Liranda, and by that i mean her backstory is great. unfortunately as Tramtris is currently constituted he would be more of the sort to type to flirt and woo with no real inclinations for attachment. But as another minor sort of noble in the area, they could know each other. I expect him to be a bit bitter with the loss of his puppy love. So in a way they are at least in a simular place, disinfranchised and angry. Perhaps they could have a bond simular to that. I noticed she had some trick dice. Perhaps they know each other from those dark late night taverns and bars and gambling dens?

Thank-you sir! I can definitely see something like that working. Depending on what MiniGM thinks I might expand the party-girl aspect of Lirandra and maybe make her a little older to gel more with your background. Perhaps your love is now married to my attacker?

Oh that would be great fun. Though i am afriad such a thing would only lead (assuming we live) to an eventual greater love interest Tramtris would have for Lirandra *lawls* afraid might not have been the best term. I would be all for a relationship forming or not. But They certainly if she has went a bit wild, had to have met. I couldnt imagine tramtris, scar or not would turn his eye from a pretty girl. And if she sought some sort of downfall of that man who also stole his puppy love. So much the better

Slight changes to background (see Tramtris' comments above) with a slight increase in age and debauchery. :)
Lirandra is the daughter of the famous operatic dancer Lilandra "The Lily" Voralius. She grew up in the shadow of her mother, the unwanted result of the dancer's wild life of excess - a life of parties, drugs, casual relationships, and a life that a young daughter would never be welcome in. Lirandra always tried to be what her mother wanted, and trained with the best dancing and singing coaches money could afford, developing a talent for singing, dancing and acting that threatened to rival that of her mother.
Throughout her childhood, during the parties that her mother threw, or dragged her to, Lirandra was treated as a young mascot by the young nobles who spent their time gambling and drinking at the debauched affairs, and she was exposed to a life more than unsuitable for a young girl. As she grew older, and more attractive however, she began to attract a different kind of attention from several of the more dissolute nobles as she delved headlong into their decadent lifestyle, garnering a reputation, even at her young age, as a brazen hedonist addicted to the pleasures of dance, wine and games.
It was at one of her mother's wild parties, only a short year ago, when she was 16 years old that Lirandra's life changed. Darelen Thrune, a minor scion of the House, drunkenly separated her from the other nobles and pulled her into a bedchamber. Left bloody and sporting a vicious scar which now mars her once perfect features Lirandra's career is over before it even began and the government of Westcrown will do nothing. After all, the bribes have been paid and none wish to work against the House of Thrune.
Wanting nothing more than to revenge herself upon the young noble who ended her career, Lirandra has gathered the materials she thinks she might need. - Arsenic in a specially designed ring, a number of small hidden daggers for protection and some lock-picks. She plans to find Darelen at a party and slip the poison into his drink. Once that is done she knows not what she will do.

As for no adepts, I take the magical talent trait so i have a 1/day 0 level spell. But i didnt plan on dipping in Adept. though i suppose its possible. I agree, maybe a bit of flirtation but not too much more. I still think she's sexually innocent (apart from her attacker) despite her upbringing. - especially following the event she's not very confident about such things. Not to say something might not develop...
I *could* dip to adept but I don't really think it works for Lirandra's backstory.

Heh. I quite like that as a concept. Means we don't have too much of a link but forms a good basis for trust (if she believes you). I think you shouldn't be that much of a stranger - it seems likely we would've met and know each other's reputations. Maybe he still sees her as too young? - I can always down my age again to 16. :)

Hippa works as an herbalist at a minor apothecary on the outskirts of town. She arrived in Westcrown, following her husband who sought a cure for his bleaching. Alas his efforts were in vain and buried them in debt to the sponsoring noble. She moonlights as a midwife and sometime veterinarian to pay off this debt to this family who promised a cure and whom she suspects killing her husband before his time. Fortunately, she has a bit of undiscovered talent and does well. She currently lives in a small loft above a nearby tavern, sharing her space with a tabby cat. Her reputation is growing with each success and low fee. Often summoned by a wide-eyed out of breath runner in the middle of the night, she fears not the darkness knowing a family is in need. Also her cat follows and keeps an alert eye out for stalkers of the night, much worse things than something who needs shadows to hunt. She always carries her family heirloom, a short spear, that she has decorated with good luck fetishes given to her by those whom she has helped. Goblin tribal fetish to a much aged Aroden prayer script are fastened to the spearhead.
Appearance and personality: Her skin is teddy bear brown with tomato red hair. Her yellow eyes sparkle with kindness and hope. She bears no ill will to those with needs; yet resents Westcrown for keeping her here and from moving on. Hippa’s full name is a tongue twister and is intricately tied up with her former husband, which she buried along with him. Hippa counts many friends among the locals and will miss them dearly when she does move on.

Prior to the collapse and civil wars in Cheliax, Sevros' grandparents were a husband/wife clothing design and tailoring team on retainer for a moderately powerful noble house. During the collapse all power and wealth that once belonged to the house was ripped away and the Kalaris family was left to fend for themselves. Fortunately, their reputation for high fashion design and high quality workmanship held enough clout that they were able to keep food in their bellies and a roof over their heads and raise two children in relative safety while the nation tore itself apart.
After House Thrune established stability the Kalaris' were able to grow their business by targeting the nobles of Westcrown as their primary clients. Sevros' mother (Mara), an accomplished seamstress, and father (Galrien), a smooth talking salesman, were given primary stake in Kalaris' Needle and Thimble business recently. Galrien arranged an agreement with the Church of Abadar to provide services to the church at a discounted rate in exchange for annual blessings.
During his youth, Sevros was trained in the ways of salesmanship and tailoring with the hope that one day he might take over the family business. Due to the agreement with the clergy of Abadar, Sevros also took great interest in religion but did not have the time available for the training required to become a fully recognized cleric. He spends what time he can studying the ways of Abadar while also helping his parents with the family business.
While going through family storage a few years ago, Sevros found a set of journals his grandfather had written during the collapse. Fond memories of Cheliax before the collapse were described in great detail next to pages filled with the pain and suffering that accompanied the civil wars. Sevros was interested in learning more about Cheliax from his grandfather (Galreth) and they had many long nights filled with the tales of Galreth's life. During these discussions Sevros began to question the close relationship with the devils that serve Cheliax. Do they really serve Cheliax or is it the other way around?
As Galreth's age increased his tongue loosened and he was less guarded in revealing his feelings about the ruling class in Westcrown. Eventually, his words fell on the wrong ears and Galreth was visited by inquisitors. Stubborn and possibly delusional in his very old age, Galreth told the inquisitors in no quiet voice exactly how he felt about the diabolists. Galreth was dragged into the street and beaten while Sevros' mother and the shop workers could do little more than beg the inquisitors to show restraint in vain. Galreth never fully recovered from the lesson and died shortly afterward, passing his walking stick to Sevros, a reminder of his stories and of the consequences of speaking out against the diabolists.
It has been two years since Galreth's passing and during that time Sevros has been taking more notice of the brutality and corruption that exists within the ruling class. Either fear or wisdom keep him from voicing these feelings or acting on them but certainly others must feel the same way. Sevros has decided it is his personal duty to provide whatever healing services he can to victims of the unfair and brutal inquisitions.
Short version:
Sevros is from a family of tailors, he studies with the clergy of Abadar in his spare time. His grandfather was severely beaten by inquisitors and died two years ago for speaking out against the diabolist ruling class.
Sevros' heirloom is a darkwood walking stick (MW hanbo) that belonged to his grandfather.
