About Brannock Galdarg

Brannock Galdarg grew up in the streets of Westcrown. Orphaned by his parents, Brannock had a very difficult young life. Considered a "slow-wit" by the other orphans because of his size and race, Brannock was picked on and bullied. Scrounging in the trash for food, Brannock found a small suit of armor and donned it as protection from the pummelings he received from the other children.

As Brannock grew, he remained small for one of his race, yet he was immensely strong. His new found strength helped him fend off his bullies and eventually Brannock learned to scare them with his demeanor rather than his fists. The other children soon realized that Brannock was not the slow-wit they thought. On the contrary he was very intelligent yet deliberate in his thoughts and decisions. Brannock discovered other children being bullied and rushed to their defense. He made it a mission of his to protect those who could not protect themselves. He ingratiated himself to the local neighbors by helping them with chores and tasks. In exchange he always asked for information on who was being bullied and if people were missing things or hurt.

When he was old enough, Brannock tried to join the local militia, but his heritage kept him from obtaining an enlistment. Instead he joined a local business that provided guards for the nobles, local businesses and the docks. Brannock was very happy with this new job. It allowed him to grow his small network of "informants" and learn of those bullying others. After several years Brannock was "promoted" by his employer for his loyalty and thoroughness in his job. Unfortunately for his employer, Brannock's sense of loyalty was soon compromised when he began to discover strange happenings at the dock- cargo disappearing without a trace and no one offering up a fuss. His proximity to the docks also exposed him to more of the local gossip. The more and more he heard, Brannock became more and more upset.

Believing things should and could be better, Brannock learned of a meeting of concerned citizens, many of whom he already knew- several of whom were in his "network" of informants.
