Exxor |
Tram is looking too much like every other battle, bloodied...time to fight smarter.
Exxor feints against the nearest monkette Standard Action
Bluff/Feint: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Exxor then retrieves a tanglefoot bag Move Action
Are there 2 or 3 Monkettes remaining?
Exxor then joins Sir Barksalot in examining his own life choices
Tramtris Arvanxi |
Still a little... upset about the lashing cuts and their general unfriendlyness He once tried to impale his dagger through the annoying monk.
powerstab: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 = 26
damage: 1d4 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 4 = 10
Hippa |
Turning to face the Monks once again and at same time feeling shame on behalf of the Blood God for invoking his name without success.
Boar Spear Attack 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 20
dmg 1d6 ⇒ 3
Hippa |
Knowing her familiar, Suki the Cat, has slipped through earlier and is ahead or behind depending on her focus or distraction, Hippa takes a moment to settle her hair down and straighten her clothes. Feeling the last wisp of the Blood God fervor disperse, she notes her lone occupancy in the entry room surrounded by carnage.
Tucking in a last wisp of hair, she gently caresses the Red Rhino token. "Although I am not the most worthy of personal combat, I am honored by your support... "
Hitching up her skirt and a firm grip upon her boar spear, she casts her eye around for some useful bit before following.
if Tram has left his halberd, she hefts up his weapon over her shoulder along with her boar spear, mumbling some unrepeatable curses about overcompensation as she hurries through the open door, following the bloody splatter keeping an ear out for combat.
Tramtris Arvanxi |
He took the Halbred from Hippa with a bow.
Thank you Hippa, you would think with how often I have to use this thing that I would be more inclined to keep a hold of it. Another ruined shirt im afraid.
He grumbled following the others frowning at teh bloodied cuts in his shirt. once in the empty room he frowned
She ran into this room right?" He asked like Miro looking about for their foe.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Exxor |
Exxor will scan for some sign of the monks passing, or continued presence, knowing that anything from a secret door, magical invisibility, illusions or weird monk tricks could be at play.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Hippa |
With a slight motherly smirk, she surrenders the hefty halberd to Tram. "Oh Dear. Where could she have gone? She watches Exxor and Miro searching for hidden doors, "hmmm not my bailiwick. I will be examining the fallen monks. Something just doesn't sit right regarding them but I cannot put my finger on it. Do be a dear and let me know your are in pursuit before rushing headlong into the darkness. Speaking of which, who needs a little healing?"
if no healing required, she heads out to examine monks, keeping Suki close by to maintain alertness while she is focused on bodies.
Hippa |
A familiar tugging on the shredded scraps of clothe adorning Tram, clucking like a mother hen and batting Tram's hands away as Hippa brooks no interference as she steps into Tram's personal bubble examining the amount and depth of his wounds. One could say she was getting rather handsy with him if she weren't scolding him about proper defense.
"Well... no avoiding it. You had to rush and go all diplomatic with your halberd. This will hurt. A bit. Calista knew you'd be first in line. Her eyes grow a lttle hooded, and the prayer she invokes make her voice take a husky languid quality. In fact, her handsiness is perhaps a little too invasive...
2d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13
Casting finished, Hippa realizes where her hands are, blushing and regaining contol of her senses, Harupmph! I, uh, need to examing the the stiff's, I mean, the bodies,in the other room. Last time I take Calista up on this particular blessingg
Excusing herself, she stumbles out the door to the assumed dead female monks.
Tramtris Arvanxi |
There was awkward and then... there was what just happened. He cleared his throat as Hippa wandered off taking a moment to adjust his shirt and his pants.
Yes well... This has been a strange set of circumstances to get into this place.
He began taking the moment to push along the walls looking for anything hidden there.
Hippa |
Setting aside the scarves, interesting but not her bailiwick, She pockets the two potions to investigate as soon as convenient. She takes 10(or 20), depending on how long the guys survey the other room. She investigates easily accessible parts of the monks' bodies for identifying features like tattoos, patterns, familial similarities. Something that she could use to identify them, unlikely but...
Suki sits alongside her, curious and patient, finding the bladed scarves not as comfortable as it would seem. Her ears twitch occasionally to the room as the guys talk and curse the missing monk.
Exxor |
Exxor goes back into the other room to collect his crossbow.
Wisdom: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Those three monks were really tough, glad there weren't more of them.......uh-oh... Exxor has that sudden moment when he realizes they are in real trouble.
Guys, be careful... there must be more than three monks here, get ready! He calls out to Tram and Miro as he ushers Hippa to follow him into the other room and to load his crossbow as they rejoin the others.
Tramtris Arvanxi |
not quite, was just sort of waiting to see if your stealthy forward provided us anymore information.
wisdom: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5
Halberd in hand and the majority of his cuts tended to, he frowned as he strode forward. Already this tiring. Another set of clothing ruined surely another chiding from his paramore. He frowned and strode torwards the center door throwing it open
Hippa |
Two monks in various states of disrobe, although weren't they anyways? Two unused potions, or not used timely. No obvious markings to identify from a crowd. Not now Exxor...uh, yeah. focus right. More diplomatic opportunities no doubt.
Making sure to pocket the potions, really should figure these out sooner than later Hippa gathers up her belongings as Suki casually saunters forward with eternal curiosity.
Wis check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Obviously still ruminating...
She continues to allow Exxor to herd her following Miro and Tram.
MiniGM |
Miro reports back after his peak in the room
The walls of this room are lined with shelves holding all manner
of contents—books and clothes and tools and small casks of
food and wine and other supplies. A few small tables and chairs
sit to either side of a flight of spiral stairs leading down.
he has a feeling there are some monkettes waiting in there
Hippa |
"hmmmmmm. Of course it goes down. Anyone want to make a bet it connects to the underground tunnels in some way? And No Miro, I do not want to shake your hand. I know where it has been."
Hippa takes this moment, since everyone above and below knows how the next encounter will happen, to taste test the potion from monk#1.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 vs DC15?
Tramtris Arvanxi |
You have my thanks, I suppose there is noting to it but to go down and speak with them again eh?
He asked accepting the potion from exxor and frowning at the idea of year another encounter with those shifty monks. He actually had kinda hoped to speak with them. Ask them why they were so rude as to not answer the door at least. With a shrug he head down the stairs. . .
Hippa |
Considering the imminent actions, Hippa toys with her charm bracelet, speaks a few short indeterminate words and stares intently downward the spiraling staircase seemingly trying to pull information out of thin air.
Casts Detect Magic, if the previous monks had potions perhaps she could sense their location if hidden.
MiniGM |

It was an invisibility potions

Hippa waits a few seconds and follows Exxor down the spiral staircase, ignoring a mooing Miro behind her. Her Spear at port arms, she wonders if the monks have scattered or lay in ambush. She suspected the answer yet contiinued downward.
