@Elektra - Is your stepson OK? I guess you are referring to the attack on Friday in Munich? It seems like we can't see a week go by, where the IS has inspired another attack. No place is immune. Germany, France, Belgium, Britain, US, Turkey, Bangladesh are just a few of the nations that have seen attacks by IS inspired individuals. How do you stop a group inspired by so much hate?
There's a political battle going on here in the US between those that want to allow more Syrian refugees in, and those that want to close the borders and build a wall.
How old is your stepson? It is tough when our children see violence like this.
As to the wall, I get your sarcasm. It is truly far from genius. But letting refugees in unchecked isn't genius either. The answer is likely somewhere in the middle. History has shown that building a wall is only a temporary fix...at best. The answer may be in setting up sanctuary locations where the refugees can work and live their lives in relative peace and safety. In ancient Israel, there were sanctuary cities for people who had become displaced in one way or another. These cities were a place of refuge. Sanctuary locations could be a place to allow the refugees to prove themselves to the citizens receiving them. Letting the refugees run free without some kind of lengthy vetting process only increases the odds that radicals bent on causing harm will be allowed to act against our innocence.

My stepson just turned 15 and decided now to apply to join the police force.
Do not get me wrong, I think Trump has stumbled on a few truths.
BUT ... I am german and we had a wall. And it did not prevent people to cross the borders and, well maybe I am biased, but we have bad experience.
In my opinion there is no great or perfect way to introduce refugees or other foreign workers. I am not sure how it is in the states, but in germany we have too few babies and young people. It is a major problem, especially as we get older and older. Many fields like services have great problems to find people to do the work. Hell we have 20.000 open jobs for people who want to start a apprenticeship. We already "import" people from spain at the moment. Sigh a difficult situation!
15 is a tough age. When I was 15, I wanted to join the Army. By the time I was 18, I had changed my mind. But there is always a need for law enforcement personnel.
I agree. There is no perfect way to handle immigration. In the US there is an estimated 20 million unregistered immigrants. Most of the immigrants are from Mexico. Many are from Central and South America. The US southern border is porous. Like in Germany, we need these immigrants. They perform many jobs others simply don't want to do. The problem is that they are paid in currency under the table. They don't pay taxes. Yet they use services like medical, often crowding emergency rooms. Our government has been unsuccessful in addressing the issue.
The biggest concern with our Southern border is not as much the immigrants looking for a better life, but others, terrorists, criminals, drug cartel members, etc. It is because of these wrong doers that many are seeking greater security along the southern border. The problem is that the border is vast, just shy of 2000 miles, (3200 km).
I wouldn't say biased about the wall, I would say experienced. You lived it, and saw the impact either bad, good or both. I think we here in the US would do well to listen. Imigration is a tough topic, after all, when you look at it, just about everyone in the US is from immigrant stock. While there are some truths to what's being said about immigration, on both sides, the US needs to stop being divisive about, well, just about everything political, and start working together to actually find the best solution.
If you don't already know, the Winged Creature is a Leukodaemon. It is referred to as a Deacon of the Horseman of Pestilence. With the Sandpoint Devil, I saw a nexus between this creature and the Winged Horse. Ironically, I came across this creature as a pregen encounter using Herolab. Since I have never either fought or GM'd one of these things, I thought it might be a fun challenge to a capable and experienced party.
By the way, it's CMD is 35. But I thought the idea to Dim. Door Garrath up to the creature was too clever to not have some kind of positive effect.

I do not even want to know the sr.
But very cool how it worked out.
It just showed me again that wizards are as not omnipotent as i always think. Well from now on lets mem flight. Dies the daemon vanish or is the body still here. In any case Electra needs a library soon. And she knows someone is very very pi off now.
So i was looking at my sheet and noticed i was forgetting to factor in the bonuses from the snakeskin tunic, like my stats on the alias are all sorts of off....i'm an idiot sometimes
well i seems i may already have dun goofed...im gonna just roll with it then. i'll post a response after work, i don't have time to construct a proper response and potential fix to my screw up.
Wondering why the greatsword would preclude Garrath from getting AOO? It's not a reach weapon, so should fall under the normal rules and if anything moves through a threatened square, Garrath should get an AOO on it. If there's a rule that I'm not seeing somewhere, I just want to know it, so I don't make the error in any other game I'm playing or running. :)
Ditto. A step in to a threatened square does not give you an AoO. Had the Dog try to move around you, or attacked through difficult terrain, you would have been entitled to an AoO.
It was because of the Greatsword. You did not indicate the weapon you were using in your post. I determined this by looking at the bonuses in your profile. If you were using your Lucern Hammer, you would have been entitled to an AoO.
How far up are the catwalks? That's where Garrath was headed before making the torch. If they're high enough up that he can run around the catwalks and attack he'll do that.
The catwalks are twenty feet up in the air. Look at the map. The catwalks are blocked at each corner by the cages in the spider room. But you can either start at the bottom or top catwalk door to begin the round.

@Stone, Garrath already has an amulet of Natural Armour.
I've been bouncing things around as I see who can use them the best.
He will get one of the next rings/belts that are either made, or found. :)
