I think if we get regular items you can convince stone to cast masterwork transformation on them.


Masterwork Transformation

You convert a non-masterwork item into its masterwork equivalent. A normal sword becomes a masterwork sword, a suit of leather armor becomes a masterwork suit of leather armor, a set of thieves' tools becomes masterwork thieves' tools, and so on. If the target object has no masterwork equivalent, the spell has no effect. You can affect 50 pieces of ammunition as if they were one weapon. You decide if the object's appearance changes to reflect this improved quality.

The material component for the spell is magical reagents worth the cost difference between a normal item and the equivalent masterwork item (typically 300 gp for a weapon, 150 gp for armor, or 50 gp for a tool). If an object has multiple masterwork options (such as a double weapon, or a spiked shield that could be made masterwork as a weapon or armor), you choose one option of the object to affect (though you can cast the spell again to affect another option).

Six of one, half-dozen of another. This spell is useful if you are NOT in a big city and need MW items. In Magnimar with Diplomacy, you have a chance for discounts.

At the Bazaar of Sails, you will find that the trading is amazingly fair. However, there is a 20% chance that you will not find what you are looking for when seeking any magic item below CL8. Make this roll first. Any Magic Items over CL8 you will need to ask.

At the Bazaar of Sails, it is 50% book value to sell. Book value to buy.

A DC20 Diplomacy check gives you a 5% discount in the Bazaar of Sails, either way, per item checked.

A DC25 Diplomacy check gives you a 10% discount in the Bazaar of Sails, either way, per item checked.

Other shops below the cleft are 10% higher than book value. The advantage is more stable inventory with only a 5% chance of a shop not having the item.

Shops above the cleft are 20% more expensive. Their advantage is in the safety and security. Those caught stealing above the cleft often go to the Hells without a trial. Those put in the Hells seldom return.

What would be the cost on just getting the Mwk Greatsword enchanted to +1?

Bonus squared x 2000 = 2000 gold? I'd love to get Furious added to the blade, but have no idea how much that'd cost.

Furious: This ability can only be placed on a melee weapon. A furious weapon serves as a focus for its wielder's anger. When the wielder is raging or under the effect of a rage spell, the weapon's enhancement bonus is +2 better than normal. If the wielder has a rage power that gives a skill bonus while raging (such as raging climber, raging leaper, or raging swimmer), the wielder gains an enhancement bonus to that skill whenever the weapon is wielded or held in hand, even when not raging; this bonus is equal to the enhancement bonus of the weapon (including the +2 when the wielder is raging).

Moderate enchantment (compulsion); CL 8th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, rage; Price +1 bonus.

Just not sure if it would need the +1 bonus, and THEN Furious, or not. If so I think it would be bonus squared (2 squared) 4x2000 gold = 8000, which would put it out of my price range, I think.

The way that I have always read it, is that you need the base +1 before adding bonuses.

The furious enchantment is a +1 thus making the weapon a +2, meaning that it becomes a 8000 gp item. :(

As for the treasure, no worries, as someone needs to do it to make it easier to keep track of in the long run. :)

Now, back to my looking over things, having slept on it for a night, I have come up with the following, if you can disregard my previous look over stuff, but I will keep the rolls.

selling Korvuses longsword. (4157.5 gp)+ what I have in my own pockets.

Buying a +1 adamantine waraxe. (5030 gp)
Then a bunch of mundane but masterwork stuff the most important is
Darkwood Strength composite bow (630 gp)

No. The roll you made was good for just the +1. You would need to find someone to enhance the +1 with furious, thus another roll.

Garrath, will make it 1500 so you are not completely broke, and as it will benefit the party, not a loan.

Stone, I will pay for that shield that you are offering me, for same reason.
However, the wand charges can go quick, so picking up a second would not be amiss.

As for the potions, a mix of cure light and cure moderate should work.
3 cure lights (150), and 4 cure moderates (1200) work, that will give everyone a cure light and a cure moderate.

Elektra, your spells do benefit the party, so consider the cash for the spells in hand.

Have to see how much I have remaining after my slew of purchases before I can ask you.

No problem. I just think it is strange that a very low level-effect item is such high caster level. Like pearls of power lv 1 (Cl 17).
There is a relevant FAQ to it, maybe it applies to the rod, too?
FAQMaking it a cl 6 item.


CL17 does seem high. However, Rods, even the weakest ones, are powerful magic items in the right hands. Elektra would be the right hands.

I gave up trying to keep up with Garrath. I figure, you will correct it for your character if I missed something. And that will be true for everyone. As the characters reach higher levels, they will all have more bonuse. So, I will be leaning heavily on all of you to keep me straight. I will have enough just to keep up with the more powerful monsters. :)
