Garrath Tricks the Giants |
Garrath will be spending most of his time in a tavern. Avoiding the big city as much as he can.
He'll keep the amulet of natural armor, since his AC is bad enough when he rages ;)
Brandark Plainswalker |
Not yet, I just noticed. :)
Edit, I am going to sort the treasure as discussed, but I will give the Siderion Medalion to stone instead, as Garrath said he wanted the Natural Armour Neclace.
Elektra Stardancer |
With so little cash Elektra will only have money for the spells and the one scroll. Althoug she will try the now useless second spellbook. Should give at least 1000 to 2000 gp
Brandark Plainswalker |
Honestly, there is a lot of cash that will come up, with the sale of the items as well.
I will give a full amount in a couple of days, but the cash totals given earlier, was just the cash that was found in the bag.
expect more to follow.
Edit
The additional total from what is sold as per the list except the cloak of elvenkind which was claimed by flynn.
2502 gp
5 sp
Each, including the communal.
To all,
The communal fund, is funded well enough to purchase some things that will benefit the party over all.
As an example, Elektra needed scrolls, or Garrath getting his greatsword enchanted.
I alone will not make the decision, but if a party member makes a case for some of the funds, and at least 1 other agrees, I will not quibble.
If I need something from the communal, I will follow the same proceedure as well.
But the caveat is that we leave enough for raise dead and restoration diamond dusts.
Garrath Tricks the Giants |
I'll leave the comments about Shalelu in game :P
Flynn Elric |
Went ahead and purchased the horse combat trained heavy, 300 gp.
Elektra Stardancer |
Elektra would go to the Pathfinder lodge and ask for permission to join as an apprentice. Maybe try to get a wayfinder. And ask if there is some wizard in magnimar willing to trade or sell spells.
She is dominantly interested in Summon monster 4, glitterdust, stinking cloud and phantom steed.
GM Mazra |
During one of the days, Devora will reintroduce Elektra to Sheila Heidmarch. Sheila will interview Elektra for a couple of hours. Then Shelia drafts a note, placing her seal upon it, and hands it to Elektra, "Unfortunately, I do not have the authority to commission a Pathfinder. But I can provide a reference. Take this letter to the Grand Lodge in Absalom. I am certain that you will be able to pass their testing. In the meantime, Devora can show you some of our ways."
A trip to Absalom is likely too long of a side trip to be practical at this time. However, in a couple of levels, Elektra may have the necessary spells to move more quickly and make the trip less time consuming.
You can find a Wayfinder at the Bazaar of Sails. DC 25 Diplomacy Check for 400gp, DC 20 for 450gp, otherwise 500gp.
Scrolls can be found at the Bazaar of Sails too:
Summon Monster 4 (700gp or 630gp with a DC 20 Diplomacy Check, or 560gp with a DC 25 Diplomacy Check.)
Phantom Steed or Stinking Cloud (375gp or 340gp with a DC 20 Diplomacy Check, or 300gp with a DC 25 Diplomacy Check.)
Glitterdust (150gp or 135gp with a DC 20 Diplomacy Check, or 120gp with a DC 25 Diplomacy Check.)
Elektra Stardancer |
Elektra will let her familiar do the haggeling. For how much can she sell the old spellbook?
As Brandark said he will help me on spells Elektra will take over half and the scribing.
DiploSM4.: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 700 / 350 Scribing 140
DiploGD.: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14 150 / 75 Scribing 40
DiploHeroism: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 375/ 187,5 Scribing 90
DiploWayf.: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 400
Communal 612,5 Elektra 1282,5
At the villa Elektra sits down with Glistenwing and together they work to understand the scrolls. Autosucceed.
On a free day Elektra will scribe a scroll of Summon Monster 4 and Heroism = 537,5. And she is again low on cash.
Total = 1820 gp
She will then check at the bazaar for low level wands, with a few charges left.
Garreth, do you want a Cloak of resistance. We can make you a stylish custom one with bearpelt or such ;-) just 500 gp
GM Mazra |
The spellbook found with Judge Ironbriar will fetch 310gp at the Bazaar of Sails, or 340gp with a DC 20 Diplomacy Check, or 370 with a DC 25 Diplomacy Check.
At the Bazaar of Sails, Elektra can find the following used wands from three different merchants:
Wand of Charm Person with Remaining Spells: 1d25 ⇒ 23 375gp, DC20 Diplomacy Check 340gp, DC25 Diplomacy Check 300gp

Brandark Plainswalker |
I think you are on the wrong side. This is discussion.
Elektra, do you have bears endurance?
Brandark Plainswalker |
I missed that. Sorry. I had thought we were going to do that in gameplay.
Brandark Plainswalker |
Was waiting on an answer from Elektra about bears endurance very likely missed.
As soon as I have the answer, I have 2 things I got to get from the market, and then I am good.
Elektra Stardancer |
Sorry nope do not have the spell, do you want to buy it? BTW you can always check my character, if you had asked her she will gladly tell her of all her spellcasting abilities.
Brandark Plainswalker |
I will be purchasing it for you, so that you can make my belt of con.
Elektra Stardancer |
Spellbook:Diplo: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 11 + 2 = 31 = + 370
SummonM 1:Diplo: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 11 + 2 = 26 = + 195
SpeakwD :Diplo: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 11 + 2 = 23 = + 630
And then she is pretty much broke
Garrath Tricks the Giants |
Garrath will buy a couple of cure moderate pots, and exchange gold for gems. Also, try to find a Handy Haversack if anyone has one for sale. That'd pretty much suck all his money out.
Garrath Tricks the Giants |
Diplomacy? Garrath? I needed that laugh ;)
diplomacy check: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Elektra Stardancer |
Brandark I think our cleric can supply the spell, no need to pay to bring it into my spellbook. Casters can work together to create items.
If you need another character to supply one of an item's requirements (such as if you're a wizard creating an item with a divine spell), both you and the other character must be present for the entire duration of the crafting process. If the GM is using the downtime system, both you and the other character must use downtime at the same time for this purpose. Only you make the skill check to complete the item — or, if there is a chance of creating a cursed item, the GM makes the check in secret.
And I found some rules about creating pearls of power:
Brandark Plainswalker |
I know they can. But if you have it, buffs can then be a choice.
But it is a minor price to pay to ensure it can be built
Brandark Plainswalker |
One last thing that I was thinking I should have been able to find in Magnimar, was a Sashimoto.
This will enable me to carry my banner properly, but on my back instead of in my hands.
Brandark Plainswalker |
Will be on tablet for the next few days.
I please bot if I am holding up the game by over 24 hours.
Thank you.
Garrath Tricks the Giants |
Sorry about the delay. I was hit by a semi truck on Wed. I'm okay, a bit stiff and sore with an arm in a sling. My car? The whole drivers side looks like the villains car from James Bond. The lugs from the semi's front tire did a pretty good job of shredding the metal from the back door back.
Flynn Elric |
don't worry bout it man, getting hit by a semi is nothing to laugh at.
Brandark Plainswalker |
Glad to hear you are ok. Take your time for health
Garrath Tricks the Giants |
I'm good, and Flynn, laughing about it helps. It stops me from thinking about how bad it could have been. The fact that I got away with only a goofed up shoulder when I got hit by a fully loaded semi? I just tell everyone I'm superman :P
The estimate of damage to my car? 4600. 1000 in parts and 3000!!!???? in labor! I'm in the wrong busines... ;)
GM Mazra |
No. You are Garrath. That is really, really close to the guy wearing an "S". ;) It sounds like you are taking it well and in good cheer. A bum shoulder is likely better than the alternative.
By the way, what is your deductible?
Labor is expensive. That is why so many manufacturing jobs have left the States. But 3000 for 1000 in parts sounds high.
Elektra Stardancer |
Here in germany, if you have a quality car, mercedes Bmw Audi, Jaguar,
the labor is that expensive. But then you have are guaranteed it is almost as new. But still then the spare parts are very expensive.
If you value a working hour at $75, wich is a lot, and you should get the master mechanic to work on it, it means that they say they need 20 hours repairing it. Is laquering included? That is again a hefty part of the repair. And also, stupid question who made an error? you or the semi - driver. because then the insurance company pays it.
Well I have full insurance, meaning I pay a bit more, but even if I made a mistake and was not stupidly reckless the company pays for it.
Garrath Tricks the Giants |
My deductible is only $500, and insurance is pretty sure that I'll get all of that back from the other insurance company, since the truck was at fault.
The labor includes them fully painting the car to make sure that the paint for the door etc matches. Otherwise there would be fading on the original, and brand new paint on the new parts. That includes the hard coat finish. (13 hours of paint labor!). The place I'm getting it repaired is a "select" shop from the insurance company, so everything is guaranteed for life.
A bum shoulder is pretty easy escape, actually. When I think about what would have happened if I were 15 feet or so further back, it's pretty scary.
Elektra Stardancer |
I had a bad weekend myself. My stepson was supposed to meet with friends at the site of the munich amok run. He got a chance to play with his new team and skipped going shopping. As he was playing soccer he didn't hear his smart phone and later the net was overused. And my wive, she is a nurse sat with me ready to be driven to her hospital if she was alerted. Among other things she is in a catastrophy nurse programm. A collegues son has lost 3 classmates and a fourth is treated because a buller wound to the chest
