I'm sorry that I'm taking such a break from this game. Just checking in to see that everyone's still here, and still interested in moving forward?

Apollo has gone missing, and I'm thinking that I'm going to DMPC him right up until his character dies (which isn't really that far off). And last I checked, Angmar volunteered to come back?

What do you guys think about auto-resolving this combat? Long pointless combats in PbP bore me. If I can get in touch with Angmar again, I can move us somewhere much more interesting. I might even be able to start mapping.

Still waiting patiently...I was debating making a few minor changes to Angmar still. They printed two new archetypes and the roguish one would sorta fit for a problem solver type of guy like angmar.

I'm prolly gonna go with the sanctified slayer. Seems pretty awesome. Angmar was likely involved in some covert missions for the church and had to get his hands dirty more than he would have liked.

One more question for you Leinathan. The Sanctified Slayer gets the Studied Target ability which grants a scaling bonus on attack, damage and to the DC of class abilities.

The question is does this apply to the save DCs of my spells?

Now there is quite a bit of discussion on the rules forum about this question but no concrete FAQ so I'd love to hear your opinion on the matter. I'm cool with whichever way you rule it (only one of my spell allows for saves anyhow). But I'd like a call from you as it might influence my spell selection in the future.

I dunno if the Evangelist is the best choice for Brek. You'd have to wait until 9th level to take it at all (Rogue 3/Sorcerer 6 being the earliest entry point) and Brek never struck me as much of a man of faith.

Of course, you have five levels to change that impression.

The other thing is that the Evangelist is mechanically a powerful class, almost entirely because of its "Aligned Class" feature. I'm afraid that you'd be picking the class because of its power, not because it makes sense.

Perfectly true on the power part since I don't have enough skills to make it as a skill monkey nor the arcane spell power to pull it off.

Then again Arcane Trickster is still the class of choice atm. Evangelist, the PrC powerful as it is is too late an entry as I'll be having two different classes. It works best on a single class. Although I'm wondering why you mentioned 5 levels? The prereguistes set it as
'Special: Any one of the following: base attack bonus +5, 5 ranks in any skill other than Knowledge (religion), or ability to cast 3rd-level spells.'

Brek also doesn't truly act as a man of faith, more of an one who grabs chances that benefits him the most despite his alignment. lol.

I'm not worried about locked doors as I have Angmar, Dmtri and Kori for those lol.

Just traps, diabolical traps and well even more traps. I have a paranonia on characters getting killed by traps.

Because you'd have to be level 10 to be a level 1 evangelist (rogue 3/sorcerer 6/evangelist 1) and you're currently level 5. It's five more levels before you can possibly be an evangelist, so you have five levels to make it make sense.

I agree with Dmitri. Given the circumstances, we do not know what sort of time frame we are dealing with. Continue, but give Brek a free ride back to Kelmarane at the first chance. Where he is safe until such a time as he is willing and or able to rejoin us.
