Hey guys! This is the discussion thread for my Legacy of Fire campaign! Feel free to get acquainted with each other while I set up the other thread.
In addition, some groundrules! First is that I expect at least one post per 24-hour span per player. If you don't post, no big deal, I'll just DMPC you as I feel necessary to keep the story going, especially during combat.
Prepared spellcasters, at the beginning of each in-game day, I'd like a spoiler with the spells you have prepared for the day.
Combat will be run as the following: When combat begins, I will roll initiative, and post the defensive stats of the creatures that you are fighting. I will expect you to post in initiative order, but if someone doesn't post in a timely fashion, I will DMPC as necessary. Feel free to embellish on the results of your own actions (this is why I'm having you know if you hit or not, or if your spells succeed, or if you kill the opponents). I'd like you to format character actions and character dialogue differently. My preference is that dialogue is bolded. In addition, (this seems pretty standard, but I'll mention it anyway) spell names should be italicized. This seems obvious, but still. Thoughts, additionally, should be italicized. You will level up via experience, posted in the discussion thread, but I'd like a spoiler for posted in this thread with what you got from the level-up.

I stayed up til midnight last night, but due to the time difference, had to go to bed.
I'm English and am 5 hours ahead of most places in America, so my last post times are usually between 7pm and 9pm CST (12am and 2am my time).
Reporting in and really looking forward to this. Gotta check out all you guys Profiles now.
Also I'm in Germany so even farther behind timewise than Apollo. I'll usually post once I get to work, so in the middle of the night for Americans and late afternoon evening here so midday or morning in the states.

Keth took the Finding Haleen trait, but he was raised by her partially during her early childhood, so it isn't likely that you overlap. If you two would prefer that it does, that's fine, talk it out.
Oh, and yeah, I'm in Pacific Standard (US), so I'm quite a bit behind you guys in Europe. This is gonna be silly.
I'm also in PST so ill post after school at about 4:00 pm or in the mornings through my phone although I'm realizing that it is rather difficult to navagate this website through a phone so I won't be updating from here very often

I've only placed this once, a couple of years back, up to the later parts of book 1, and even then we had no Cleric.

This is my first online campaign for pathfinder, I mostly do in person stuff but my best friend told me about it and it looks so cool. Very excited to do my first post when I get home!!! And just to reinforce what you said this will be a very challenging adventure I'm sure, mainly because our GM enjoys to make things harder ten they need to be (<3 you XD). I will try my best to be creative and fun and I hope you all strive for the same!!!!

I presume you're in his CotCT one then. I read a bit of that and it seems pretty cool.
The only thing I hope is that everyone stays dedicated to this, because I've been in two or so PBP's, only one being an AP and that was for Council of Thieves, which sadly died out fast. So I have a fair few Alias' and haven't really been able to play any successfully. :(
I'll keep my T-Rex in check btw. He won't eat you guys, or nibble at your ankles so long as he's fed regularly. :p
On a more serious note, it's good to be playing with you Keth. You seem like a friendly guy (apologies if you're a girl, but I don't get that impression haha), and I'll roleplay to the best of my ability.
Using XD tells me you're of a similar age to me, so if you watch Animé and have heard of Code Geass, I'm currently in a homebrew campaign roleplaying as Lelouch....like a BOSS.
Fun stuff, and I too prefer roleplaying in real life, but as there's like only one group I know of within 60 miles, I've started to RP on here more, and hopefully this campaign will run either until we all die, or until we complete it. :p
If my character dies, I think I should bow out to let someone else enter, rather than re-rolling a character up, but only because it's fair on others.
Still, I have options for a back up character, or rather one. :p
I've been doing play by posts for almost 7 years now and am well aware of the dedication problem. Also I tend to play with folks in the states a lot and it tends to work out if both sides have a certain window of interaction time. It's prolly not conducive to super fast play but if everyones fine with 1 to 2 posts per day per person it works out well.
Ironically I've found that too quick posting actually hinders over seas pbp. Getting on and seeing 3 pages of posts from last night you have to read through at work/school whatever makes it kind of difficult.

Yea, I like fast paced PBP's, but when everyone has different posting time windows, you end up missing out a lot.
If everyone posted today from about 3pm GMT onwards (I think PST it's either 10am or 7am, can't recall which is 5 hours and 8 hours behind), I'd be posting non stop, but it's 8.12pm for me now, so I only have another 4 hours to post or so. Still, I always aim to get as many posts a day possible, so I think we're just waiting on those who haven't posted in the gameplay section yet.
We have no Cleric mind, so I'm sure we'll die fairly soon. :p
I won't spoil anything, but I had a dual wielding halfling for this campaign IRL, before I knew how to optimise dual wielders (to a degree at least). He was my first ever dual-wielder when I was unfamiliar with PF rules, and yet he was insane.
He had two bugbears on him and about 6-8 Gnoll's....and killed them all, only taking 10 damage. XD
He had to climb onto a table to fight, because he was only 2'10 and the number of bodies he piled up in front of him seemed to act like a wall for those constantly approaching, also preventing him from attacking them. LOL.
He took out a big guy by stabbing him in the back, and eventually sacrificed himself for the party, thinking it would give them time to escape, but everyone bar the character and player we all hated, died.
Poor little Isaac, the free'd Halfling Gladiator. XD

I'm assuming you meant but when you said bar, and that sucks ill do my best to support buff and heal as I am a Druid it's not my main purpose but I shall try to take care of us. And that's awesome that your playing lelouch super jealous!!!!!! Lol and yes i am a male and I am a senior in Highschool if I remember correctly your in collage? Right now in in 2 campaigns IRL any thinking about GMing a Star Wars one but haven't really looked int to it much yet, in the older of the 2 campaigns I'm playing a class that was made for me that's a mix between a scout and a ranger who is going into arcane archer but my GM in that one is changing the prestige class so that it has no arcane elements so it's more like a divine archer and he is kindove insane, the other campaign is a kingdom maker one in which I am playing a Female dervish dancer who will be taking lvls of I believe it's called shadow dancer or something anyway she is pretty cool and has an insanely high acrobatic skill due to the fortune of our adventures. And our GM in this game is my best friend IRL and he's also the GM of my kingdom maker campaign which is why I know that this will be challenging, we're not even through part 1 and almost everyone has rerolled their characters for one reason or another and our main tank died and they had to cut up his body and seal the pieces in to different coffins so he wouldn't come back and kill us (cus he was super op lol).

Yea, I played Lelouch once in a RL Kingmaker campaign. The GM always favours other people, so it was no surprise to me when he said playing such a character was a pointless waste of time....until I had his NPC's who were there to kill us, constantly turn on each other, critting each other and one hit killing each other, just by telling them to do so. :p
The boss in book 1 chased us all and was going to wipe us out, and with Lelouch being slower than almost everyone, he fled first (after someone suggested to retreat) but escaped last and had the boss turn up right next to him. It was do or die, so I 5 foot stepped and told him to go back in, look for any remaining ally of his and kill him.....and he did. LOL.
Awesome character, but in a random encounter with Worgs, Lelouch's Knight got killed because of a player constantly telling me to switch places with him....which is what got all but three of us killed. My character wouldn't have listened to him, but I eventually did because he got so irate about it...we both got downed, but he ended up living on as the GM decided to only coup de grace me, as I was getting them to kill each other and told one to run away right through the middle of us (AoO each haha), yet letting the other guys downed character live. Questionable huh? So Lelouch supposedly died in that campaign...but we all know he never dies really, so I'm rp'ing him in a homebrew on here atm. :p

I'm on the east coast (US), but I work shift work. So, every 4 weeks my schedule changes (I post mostly at work, so less often when I'm working the day shift).
I'm running 2 PbP's[S&S and CotCT], and playing in 9 (counting this one) here on the boards [2 SStar, S&S, CC, JR, CotCT, RotRL, this LoF, and a 4E Dark Sun]. I run 3 tabletop games, one with friends every Fri night [CC], one for my wife and kids every once and a while on Sat [RotRL], and one at work (graveyard shift) 3 nights out the work week (so 12 nights during the 4 weeks on shift) [SStar].
The Fri night game we alternate every book, so I'm running book 2 of CC, and when we finish the other GM will run book 3 of KM.
I (and my wife) consider myself a gaming addict. I started in Junior High (24 years ago) and haven't stopped, slowed, or taken a hiatus (even while I was deployed).
Wow, you are DEDICATED to gaming. I consider myself a bit of an addict, but that's just cause I obsessively try to learn everything about the game soz I know all of the rules haha.

I think we're fine on healing, we've got three folks who have healing spells known. Clerics are great, but they're rarely...interesting, and you guys are all certainly interesting.
My Lelouch is interesting. :p
Well, he's actually the most powerful character around, with his abilities to get others to kill each other...which is why I love him, and only made him a Cleric because I was forced to play a Cleric in the RL Kingmaker campaign. I made him pretty well though, and made him stronger for the PBP I'm currently in with him (and only just started). XD
As for the party, I don't know much about the other characters as I haven't read their back stories, but I think any party who accepts a man with a baby T-Rex into the party, has to be considered an interesting group, haha.
I can't wait to destroy the BBEG of book one. Ooc, I'll call it revenge for my little Halfling being killed by him.

Forgot to mention, given my tabletop schedule, my posting is often light on Fri and Sat.
I spend most of Fri morn doing my college homework for that week before I go to my game that night. Sat I tend to get wife aggro if I spend too much time posting instead of spending time with the family.

Actually, speak with animals allows you to speak with any animal for as long as the spell remains active. Think of it as a new temporary language.
Oh, neat. Also, Kori, I have the distinct feeling that you and Dmitri are going to get along juuuuust fine.
Ah.....haha. I suppose it must lower your intelligence then, because all animals communicate with an atrociously low intelligence score. XD

As to no Cleric. That's fine by me. While I think Clerics can be great fun you just have to make sure you don't build them as a walking band aid. It'll be rough before we get our hands on a wand of CLW but then we should be alright.
