Zoros, hope your family is healing and you are doing well.
This post is not in any way directed at you, since you have told me you have an emergency.
Straight posting history shows in a full week I have posted 10 times and everyone else 8 times combined. Giving Zoros a complete pass and saying there are only 4 characters posting, that is twice a week for each character.
I am going to change this to a slower game. Three of my games have daily posters and I do not want to slow their games down. I am hereby changing the schedule to three times a week updates from me -- roughly Monday Wednesday Friday. That should fit the current posting rate. And I thank Lorcan for being my most frequent poster--the stats say Lorcan is at 195--well over 80 more than anyone else.

I honestly think we can benefit from perhaps a slower pace - but I don't think this is all on the PC's GM Tribute, I get the feeling we all keep waiting on each other at times.
I would suggest in social situations, things should be moved forward even if not everyone has piped in - just assuming they have nothing to add?

I am not happy about 3 days a week myself. If we do go to three days a week I predict posting will define further. If it does I am done with this.
I do not mean to rant, but I am in a dozen games. Most of these required the commitment to post daily, at least during the week. I am somewhat appalled at the number of people who make that commitment and then utterly fail to keep it. Its well over half the people I play with.

I apologize for my recent silence, I have been ill. Beyond that, Meztli is a front-liner. She isn't much for socialization. If she remains silent, it's only because she has nothing to add to the conversation.

I am sorry, but I cannot continue this game at this pace. Its just too slow. I tried. I can never remember who had acted and where we are, which removes a lot of the fun for me. I had Lorcan at 1 hit point but reviewing things it seems like he should have been down. And I cannot recall which is right. The GM referred to healing he received but I do not recall getting any. In years of playing on the boards I have never dropped from an active game, but I am going to drop from this one.
This is a game that I could enjoy more than most. That is the irony. There is less role playing and more gritty dungeon crawling - which appeals to me. But in truth the game was not advertised as such and our group is poorly optimized for such a roll. And while we have been playing for almost 10 months we are still first level!?! But now we seem to be fighting at a CR well above that level and its just not fun.

Well, we probably cannot survive the loss of our best poster.
I will suspend this as we cannot survive without an arcane and make this inactive.
6 vanilla gnolls was fairly CR appropriate. Gotta say Gary Gygax never heard of CR appropriate encounters--the hobgoblins were pretty hard.
It seems the daily posting requirement is easier said than done, so we were at three a week.
