I would definitely like to continue

That is 3 votes to continue. I am going away for most of a week to spend some time in the woods, and I will have very little access to the internet.

If there is anything in particular you would want to see in a continuation, let me know. Abilities you want to flex, enemies you are interested in.

I want to have some fun with IP as a concept and the Universal Team vs other franchises. And I would want to maybe integrate some more personal parts of your stories, either bringing up some past foes or some new friends or foes.

If we only have three, would we want to do a recruitment to bolster our numbers?

Damaged 0 | Hero Points 2 | Perception +10 | Initiative +0 | Fortitude immunity | Will 10 | Dodge 10 | Parry 10 | Toughness 10

Great to continue! Enjoy the great outdoors!

I would enjoy adding of magic to the repertoire of Jonathan as a consequence of becoming a avatar of Hecate. Mechanically maybe an AE Variable. And, RPing the development of magical expertise.

The obvious villain to return for Harker is Dracula. We fought him in the last campaign, too. However, I find Dracula much more powerful, insidious, and frustrating when he acts as a puppet master. Maybe, he is leading the nemesis of the Monstrous Regiment.

Potential NPCs are the descendants of Van Helsing who could hunt Harker just because he is a vampire or need help with Dracula.

I would also enjoy developing the Monstrous Regiment as an analog to Hellboy's Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.). Meaning, we could explore any mythology threatening the world retreading any of the Hellboy stories.

I'm mixed on the Recruitment. On the one hand, I enjoy the richness additional protagonists give to the story. On the other hand, waiting for posting bogs the game. Maybe we could specify posting expectations in a recruitment.

Cheers

I liked the god themes and digging into some mythology, which of course suits my character well.

I'd also just be down for a simple scrap with some monsters, and/or deal with some other classic horrors like the Blob or weird alien invaders, etc. I'd also like to learn more about the regiment--who are we working for?

I enjoyed the world travel aspect of this and it would be cool to do more, including stopping off at the university where Helen teaches, etc.

I wouldn't consider recruitment until we hear back for sure from the other two players.

I absolutely agree with setting and reinforcing posting expectations. Folks should always feel free to announce if they need a break but otherwise they should be planning to post however the frequency is set (1/day, 1/every 3 days, 1/week, whatever it is).

I think we should all have one last post for the credits.

Thank you so much GM SuperTumbler that was a blast, and thank you my fellow players, loved it.

See you in the next one,

I am more than willing to continue. I like the concept of the campaign, and I am enjoying the character (other than being a little disconnected the past few weeks, but that's on me, not you).

What would I like to see? I'm really not certain what I would see more of. Hyde would certainly like more action, but Henrietta is more sedate and thoughtful. I think a mix of the two is good.

Recruiting sounds good to me, but yes, there is an issue of posting frequency. For my part, I do not object to the GM botting me if I am holding things back.

While I am working on a sequel adventure, you guys can work on this:

I am going to award everyone 5 power points (still the same PL).

You guys have mostly taken to the gods being involved and you being avatars of them in the moment. They won’t stay as directly involved in your business unless you call on them, but if you want to go that way with your power points feel free.

One thing that would be useful to me is if someone had expertise: science. Henrietta makes the most sense to me. I am hoping giving Henrietta more to do would help you connect more.

PHANTOM Human Damaged +20{DC25}| Hero Points 1 | Perception +20 | Initiative +10 {Seize Initiative} | Fortitude +0 | Will +10 | Dodge +0 | Parry +0{+10 Deflection} | Toughness 0/20{Force} | Damage 0/+10{Force}

cool GM, I am going to add in his Thunderbird Alt power, and the PHANTOM will have a more bird like look.

PHANTOM IMAGE HERE

The next arc/movie/comic series will start with an action style cold open. James Bond/Mission Impossible/Indiana Jones etc.

You are welcome to post about what you are doing in the background before this scenario pulled you back together.

In my retreat, I've made some progress on our next scenario. Came up with a few good ideas. I have a beginning. Just need to work on the middle. I'll count on you fine folks to provide the end. So we might we a week away from getting back to it if you guys will be ready.

If you aren't sure what to do with your points, I can always recommend Luck based powers so that you can just tweak the scenes/narrative.

Damaged 0 | Hero Points 2 | Perception +10 | Initiative +0 | Fortitude immunity | Will 10 | Dodge 10 | Parry 10 | Toughness 10

Harker is ready to review with his 5 more points:

* Added a Skill = Expertise (Hecate’s magic) 8 (+8)
* Added an AE = ”Disciple of Hecate” Variable 4 (Magic), Feature 3 (Quickchange into anything; minor magical effects)
* Tinkered with the other slots in the Array. For example, got rid of the Concealment by a cloud of bats, and split his Shapeshifting into his flying versions and walking versions. Both with some Shrinking potential.

Cheers

Not quite sure what to do with my points. 1 might just go into Expertise: History, could make sense for her. Or Archeology, since she's the daughter of an archeologist.

I think I had been thinking prior about a "control animals" ability that I could add to her array, but I'm not sure how to build it.

So I used mine to link him more to the Thunderbird, as a sometimes Avator of that being.
3p
* Made Murph into shapechange
Alt from = Thunderbird
Limited to Human body Crews head
Alt from = Birds
Limited to Corvidae family of Birds

1p
Cominicaton: ESP
Can mind link to Birds and communicate to them.

1p
Immunity to Electricity [Own power]
[to match with his attacks now are electrical]

Affliction, Resisted by Will, Daze-Compelled-Controlled, Cumulative, Increased Range 2 (Perception), Limited 2 Animals only

I've made some decent progress on our next scenario. I have a crazy week at work, so I don't imagine I'll have much time to write. I do tend to daydream, so I may get some more ideas in order. I already have months worth of material at our pace, even if we can speed up a little.

So let's plan to get started next week, like I'll do a post on October 12 to get things started back up.

Would you want to open a scene at base somewhere to give us a setting to RP until the start?

I'm going to be on short notice until Monday. I have a con this weekend (CONTRAflow in New Orleans) and I'm prepping for it now. So if I am holding things up, please go ahead and bot me, and I'll be back in action next week, though I will try to check in as often as possible. If you are in the area or attending, I'm running three Savage Worlds scenarios: a science-fiction romp titled Moon at the Edge of Oblivion, a weird west session called Night of the Grizz, and a sneak peek at the upcoming Deadlands: Dark Ages called Sins of the Father.

Sorry, doesn't appear that I can get that done this week.

Hey, everyone. Bride/DQ mentioned in her desires for the campaign an interest in knowing more about the Regiment, who you are working for.

With regard to that, Harker has a +10 Expertise in the Monstrous Regiment. And Harker has a good relationship with the other PCs. So with a Routine check you all could know most of the history.

Do you want to discover things about the Regiment more in play or do you want answers out of play? Do you want secrets about the Regiment to discover?

I have a pretty good idea of the backstory of the Regiment. How much do you want to know and how much do you want to discover in play.

What should any of us know as common knowledge, for starters?

If it's not meant to be any great mystery, cool. I think part of what I was thinking is it would be cool to interact a little with our "superiors."

Haven't updated character sheet yet, but I've figured out my Xp expenditures. Will add Expertise History, Boost her mummy's strength, add the animal control spell, and boost her Dodge a little. It's still hilariously low but improved at least.

Night in the mexico desert, white smoke rises from a fire pit, where a group of native peoples huts are grouped. Only star and fire light eliminates the scene, as a group of native peoples dance in the sire light. The dance seems to be coming to an end, as one of the huts flap opens, made of Buffalo skins and wood trusses, it is the only way in or out. The being who steps out has the body of a man but the head of a crow. Dark eyes and black fathers glinting in the fire light. He walks to now still dancers. And offers up his hands.

"Nitsáhákees tséyiʼ nihá shí yáhoot’ééł niháshchʼįʼ. Tó nihá nisin, nihá shikaadééł, nihá bikéyah dóó yádiłhiłgo. Tó shikaadééł nitsáhákees tséyiʼ nihá shí."

Then the clear sky darkens and clouds form , in the distant flashing of lighting. The Man/Crow transforms into a full Crow of giant size, and flies up to meet the oncoming storm. Soon thick drops of rain fall from the now storm covered sky, and the native peoples start there Dance again, as the fire spist and pats when raint hit is.

Cool post, Phantom, but btw this is the discussion thread.

Btw identifying people by tribe rather than as "native" is generally considered more respectful when possible.

Not feeling well tonight. Not going to be able to get my posts together.

Hyde is going to hold onto her points, simply because I have misplaced my .por file for Hero Lab, and will need to find or recreate it.

Hey everyone, I've gotten some bad health news this week that is going to be taking a lot of my attention for at least a few months. I'm going to be shutting my campaigns down as I don't expect to have the time and energy to keep them going.

Thanks for all of the fun monster adventures and for running with this crazy idea.

I'll leave things active until late Sunday so people have time to see the notice.
