I am making a preemptive apology to everyone with whom I am involved in games. My posting for the next month or so will be sporadic. For games I am playing, I will try to check in once a day. For games I am running, there may be gaps of a few days between moves. I ask that folks not give up on me.
This is convention season for me. I am scheduled to attend four conventions in the next month, one as staff. This means a LOT of prep time (as I am running at least three games at each convention, all of which I need to actually write).
Anyway, this is just a heads-up to let you know what is happening. If you must drop me, I understand. I would prefer that if I get behind, you just have my character do what seems logical. Thanks.

Seems like a good time to mention that I'll be out of the country on vacation from the 6th through the 15th. I'll have a laptop with me but am not sure how often I'll have internet so my posting could be interrupted, but i hope not too much.

My G4 phone can open it. Two ten foot wide caves on the left and right. Once you choose which one to enter or continue down the ravine, we can start the exploration and place the characters. Right now the left cave is just a rectangle. The other cave is partially started. The plan is to allow players to move their character on the map--everyone has edit privileges. We did the entire two level N1 dungeon on a single spreadsheet.

I had the original map cut and paste as a watermark on the spreadsheet subtly shaded in the background, but google docs strips off the watermarks and a phone wouldn't be able to see it anyway.
Maptools is proving somewhat elusive for now. As only holes would be visible, it can do for a start. Maybe i'll thicken the borders some.

Entrances are marked with the words entrance and dotted lines for threshold. The beginning of the cave walls are by the left cave. The silhouette of the right caves are outlined even though you have no knowledge of it for context--thanks Ingrid.
FA 39 and EU 111 should be where the two caves are. If you imagine walking in from the middle right of the spreadsheet, you see some trees in the middle of the ravine and two caves to your left and right.
We can set a marching order for two wide and I will put an initiative spoiler in the campaign tab to roll initiative and track marching order.
Was hoping maptools wasn't so finicky with my Java on my PC and the token tool would go better than I have found it to go.

have you considered using a dungeon style mapmaker screen shotting it and then putting it on photobucket requires you to do the moving and players stating their plotted course but worked pretty good when i ran my falcon's hollow game does take some work but just a suggestion if you wanna give it a try

Hmm. Not sure what you are referring to Ingrid. The sleep spell has not even been cast yet. The three goblins were toppled by Lorcan's color spray.
Sleep is a full round spell, and will go off at the beginning of your next turn, after all the goblins have acted. I believe you can choose to target it then and do not have to stay with your previous choice.

Two comments to that: 1) since Lorcan acted first, you should have know the effect of the spell before casting your own, so could save it, and 2) there are other goblins on the map that could still potentially be targeted unless the DM us saying we wiped them up. I must admit to not being sure.

Hey guys I know this sucks but I am going to have to drop the game. I have a bunch of personal stuff going on and new job is pretty killer on top of it I just don't have the time right now to keep up and that isn't fair to the group. My sincere apologies.

Two days to go before we put on CoastCon. This is the big one for me (as I am the Game Room Director). I will try to check in on games I am involved with tomorrow and Thursday, but may not be able to do so. I will not be on at all Friday through Sunday. I should be able to resume normal posting on Monday. Please bot me as necessary.
If you are in one of the games I am running, I ask that you remain patient and we will resume on Monday with a more regular schedule. And, of course, if you are in the Mississippi area, feel free to stop by CoastCon in Biloxi this weekend. We are a sci-fi/fantasy convention in our 37th year and our Gaming Guest of Honor is none other than Mike Brock (our Media Guest of Honor is John de Lancie)!
