It's ok, I will probably switch back to spells after this round. Looks like Purple takes the hit, and I shoot through Blue's square with no penalty because I can ignore one target of soft cover thanks to a trait.

@Vinni I see you have a few cloud/fog type spells (and will likely gain more).
A good opener before getting into a big group combat is Ashen Path (specifically for the secondary effect) which will really up the tactical impact of visibility reduction spells and make your sneak/ranged attackers very happy

@Saoirse When you are up again, I could you some extra space behind me to step back and re-arm.

This is the source I'm relying on for the rule that retrieving a dropped weapon on a weapon cord provokes an AoO.
bluedove
I don't usually insist upon enforcing turn order when most everyone is moving in a block, but in this case, I think I need to.
Vinni stepped into Saorise's vacated square, unfortunately, it would not be vacated yet at the time of his turn. Also, Albert's player had requested the step back to give him room to maneuver, which he does need because he is not drawing a sheathed weapon, but instead retrieving the sword he dropped.
@Albert, I think you are describing a makeshift Weapon Cord:
Weapon Cord: Weapon cords are 2-foot-long leather straps that attach your weapon to your wrist. If you drop your weapon or are disarmed, you can recover it as a swift action, and it never moves any further away from you than an adjacent square. However, you cannot switch to a different weapon without first untying the cord (a full-round action) or cutting it (a move action or an attack, hardness 0, 0 hp). Unlike a locked gauntlet, you can still use a hand with a weapon cord, though a dangling weapon may interfere with finer actions.
And yes, I see your post now that you are. It keeps the weapon in your square with you and reduces the action to swift to retrieve it, but no it doesn't negate the AoO.
@Vinni, you can move on your turn to the space directly north (or east) of Andreas to target him with a Cure spell, but you will drop down off the stairs to the floor below and be in striking distance of the Lizardfolk. To prevent your own AoO, you can cast the spell before you move and only deliver the touch after your movement.
Stairs are 10 ft above the floor at the top, where Moondancer the wolf is currently and drops about 1 foot in height above the floor for every 5 feet of stairs, so the drop is only 3-4 feet and won't require a check.

And if have space to take a step back and pull up my sword, I will do that.
bluedove
Rillka, am I correct you haven't added in any bonuses from the party buffs?
Saoirse Oparaeal
Won't hurt the wisp any but will hopefully occupy everyone else, and likely negate the spellcaster if they catch fire, giving the people who can hit the Wisp a chance to focus on it.
bluedove
@Andreas, you indicated two actions for this round, one on Rillka's turn. I will default to the most recent unless you state otherwise before I complete the update.
@Saorise, you can maintain performance as a free action and still cast. Are you sure you want to stop performing?
Saoirse Oparaeal
No I'll maintain. I think I forgot that. So bonuses all remain and the bastards hopefully burn.
Veronica Ferra
I am sorry I was confused. I read that the rest of the party was up, so I assumed that was us again. Sorry
Hold on to those rolls, though!

Likely many of you already know, but we are to experience a scheduled outage soon. They expect 2-3 days down but it's always possible for things to not go as planned. I can get together a Discord server for us if you are interested.

Apologies for such a long delay, my initial calculation showed we still needed at least one solid strike to bring the Wisp down, but I audited it again and realized I was missing Rillka's biggest MM at the beginning of the fight.
Things in my world have been alternately hectic or depressing. My eldest moved out (hectic) and his absence settled in (depressing), work got very busy and I've been actively searching for a better position (both). Got excited about an interview and then disappointed when I didn't get the job. *sigh*
But hey, that Wisp has been dead for two weeks and didn't even know it! XD

Such a roller coaster of emotions! I can't imagine my 2 y.o. will ever move out. Heck, I can't imagine her going to the toilet herself even! Anyway, hope you get a new position.
Also, dead-wisp-walking, tihi.

The keen-eyed will note from my last gameplay post that Veronica is checking to keep the fallen lizardfolk alive.
If someone was planning on executing them, I don't want to get into a big argument over it, so I just wanna spell out her thought process here:
• We won this fight, the big bad wisp and its cult leader are both dead.
• The surviving cult members are now their own people's problem. We don't get to take over and make rulings and judgements without their input; they have their own society and their own autonomy.
• Showing that we exercise consideration even for our enemies is good PR. The lizardfolk might see it as weakness ("they waste their time saving their enemies? How foolish"), but they might see it as a boon ("they show restraint and perhaps are worthy of trust"). It's also the kind of behavior that sets the tone for how our fledgling country interacts with people at war, and tends to generate loyalty and allies.
• From Veronica's perspective, it's the morally correct thing to do.
So, just getting that out there to forestall any slap-fights over "we should kill the fallen ones!" "No, we should spare them!" "No, we should turn them into our prisoners!" etc. Happy to have RP disagreements over policy, I just want to moderate it so it doesn't turn into player conflict. :)

Hey I will probably slow down posting now until after new years. I think I'll still be able to post once or twice.
Saoirse Oparaeal
That's funny that I initially created Saoirse to fill the leadership role of Spy master, but I'm ending up organically falling into Grand Diplomat.
I think right now it's by Masters more important because of the hit to economy if we don't have one during Kingdom building, but I was already thinking of taking leadership at level 7, so I might recruit a 5th level rogue to fill that spot then, and move to being Grand Diplomat officially

I don't think Veronica currently occupies a kingdom slot. Is there a kingdom spreadsheet?
Rillka Cloudhopper
Sword Marches Stats link at the top of the thread; Tab named Overall, I think it is the second tab. The list is in the towards the middle left hand side.
Veronica would be a good addition to a couple positions; anything without a PC name is an NPC, some AP provided, many are former PCs that agreed to have the character act in the role.

I feel ready to move on to our next challenge! No pressure if other folks still have stuff they wanna get out, of course.

I thought the next challenge was convincing the lizardfolk to be our unofficial spy network.
