sorry for the delay, guys. This week piled up on me on Friday and I haven't really had time to post since.

My Second Darkness game ended with 9051

Played a Shackled City campaign that completed at 15,224.

We've got a little ways to go but are getting to the home stretch for the campaign. I'm gonna bet it's at 11,000. Let's see!

Imitation is the highest form of flattery...unless you're mocking someone.

- +2 headband of mental prowess(int/cha, history for skill)
- +2 ring of protection

Bronin can benefit from both of these. Even tossing back a headband of charisma +2 into the mix.
If others can benefit instead.. Go ahead and take it. I am just citing that Bronin would be interested.

Wren needs neither of these. Enjoy them friend Bronin.

Happy Thanksgiving all!
For this year, I am THANKFUL for a year that brought my characters:
Brother Butterfly is thankful-- for a lot of sex along the Encartan Sea.
Atium is thankful -- for a team of friends. Once a displaced loner, now within a family of five.
Zane is thankful -- for actually becoming as great and famous as he always imagined he was; and then dying in a glorious fireball.
Lord Bronin Dohari is thankful -- for a Feathermage and two other forcefully spirited females that have shown him that women *might* be just as capable as men in this world.
Linzi is thankful -- that she's just about pegged down all her companions with a nickname she likes. She's still desperately searching for a tame name, but that will come in time.

and the player (me)-- is thankful to all these players and the GM's that make these stories and developments in my character(s) possible. It's not lost on me that not one of the things I'm thankful for are written into an adventure, or a magic item, but borne out of skillful PC and GM interactions.

Alright folks, I'm in a serious period of burnout thanks to RL stressors.

Normally I push games through Christmas at reduced posting rate but I am going to place all of my games on hiatus until January. We're making good progress and I hate to do this but APs are years-long commitments and part of doing these successfully is recognizing when I'm at burnout risk and taking appropriate breaks.

So with that said, I'm going to cease all postings until the week of January 3rd. I will PM you all when the game gets going again.

We are very close to done this adventure path and I absolutely intend to complete it in the near year. To do that I need a break. Thanks for sticking with me, and particularly to Lena who has been on this game since before I took it over!

Yes, this is a very good plan. +1 to focusing on mental health even though I am noticing an increasing amount of bird related aggression in recent posts.

This is going to be a heads-up to this group that I'm going to retire from Paizo play by post... AFTER THIS CAMPAIGN IS DONE. I am closing down every other game I am running. I've been at this for seven years and quite honestly, I do not have the capacity to run and play in games like I have been. My life has become a lot 'lifier' as I've become president of my union this past year and I'm probably going to be in that role for a few years.

So this game will be my farewell tour as a forum GM because we are so g+**#!n close to finishing. If you play in another of my games, heads up that it will be closing.

President of a Union. Well done. It will be sad to see you go, and sad to see the game end as well. But it has been a ride. To think I am the last original character is a bit weird.

Congratulations on your new role as President, though I am sad to see you winding down. You have been both a great GM and a great player over the last few years (and I think I have been with you in some capacity most of that time. Thanks for finishing this one out. Perhaps we as a group can push a little more to keep it from dragging on too long.

Hi everyone. So... I hate to do this. I really do.

I do not have the capacity to run this game anymore. I had cut all my games down so I just had this left to go on and a promise to myself I would complete this AP because we're fairly close - but I just can't keep up a reliable posting rate. My life has become too busy and my responsibilities are only going to get more intense and overwhelming as the year has gone on. I've had to cancel the two in-person games I run as well and just can't keep up with the hobby rn.

I need to call a retirement on these forums and I hate to say goodbye (at least for now) but also am so happy to have spent almost SEVEN YEARS with this group in one form or another. You're all fantastic players.

Also a special S/O to Painlord - when you joined my game I thought a Paizo celebrity had stepped up because of how essential your PbP guides were to me becoming a decent GM on these boards. I'll try to hit a paizocon some day or maybe come back to run some games once my tenure with this gig is done.

@GM Spiderbeard - no worries, mate. It can happen to anyone. Some people have more time to play these days, but a lot of us have a lot less. You know I had to cancel one of my games that you were a player in. It's okay.

I have had a blast playing with you on both sides of the table, and you are welcome to play in any game I am running if you ever get free time again. Thanks for everything.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate allowing a deposed Lord enter your adventuring family. I especially loved that crazy dynamic where the simple barmaid slowly gains power and grows to be a devastating 13th level witch all under his chauvinistic nose.

Special thanks to Vladlena for torching him when he said things too derogatory towards women. Know that you set him straight in the end, he grew to respect that women could be just as powerful as men.

I'm crushed, obviously. I've enjoyed the ride. And thank you so much SpiderBeard. I know the last few months/year have been tough.

I'm trying to find a GM to finish out the last few parts, but am not too hopeful...you know how it is.
