NOW ARRIVING IN RAVENGRO! bellows the driver of the rickety carriage. The weather-beaten middle age man pulls back hard on the reins and the carriage comes to a halting stop. There is an brisk autumn chill in the air as you exit the coach. The driver steps down from the vehicle and starts to unstrap your possessions from the rear rack, placing the miscellaneous luggage on the cobblestone walk that surrounds a small gazebo in the center of townsquare. The overcast sun is setting in the west and the threat of rain is becoming obviously clear. this abysmal weather is fitting considering the reason for your journey. Last week you received word that your dear friend and mentor Petros Lorrimor has passed away and that your presence needed to read his last will and testament. Although you don't have many details you were given directions to his estate. The sudden unexpected news caused you to drop everything and leave immediately to say your last goodbyes to this great man that had such an profound impact upon your life.
The driver finishes his hurried work, tips his hat to you all and climbs back onto the large dilapidated coach. NEXT STOP URGIR.... He bellows out once again and with a swift crack of the reins the carriage takes off to the south continuing it journey.
You notice that several townsfolk are eyeing the group with both intrigued and suspicious looks before averting their gaze and continuing with their tasks.
cue scene! welcome to the haunting of the harrowstone!Scroll over to the campaign info tab to view a picture of the local area map. The group while traveling together over the last couple days kept their journey to themselves only engaging in small talk to break up the somber thoughts of their deceased friend

Ya it works.:)

Glad everything works in this thread! :)

Just a note. Where I am is about to be hit by a cyclone. It is not big (category one) but the power may go out and I may not be able to message for a while. Pizzmic you can bot me if you have to.
Vladlena |
I'm back. Lost power in the storm but no other damage.
Eldon Appleton |
Good to have you back!

I hope the girl keeps it safe. Otherwise I might suggest she gives it to me, and I'll make sure no one gains access to the tomes.
What could be safer than in a gnome's possession? lol
(Somehow, my Campaigns page wasn't telling me there were discussion updates.)
I'm Matt, by the way, a father of a two-and-a-half-year-old boy, staying at home while my wife goes through an accelerated nursing school program. I had to give up the in-person gaming I had recently gotten back to because of time constraints, but took up online gaming, hoping to preserve a little sanity. My top-level character in modern times is now at 3rd level, so I'm not exactly a pro at this, but I'm really enjoying the role-playing possible with this format.
I live in the Portland, Oregon, area, so pretty much no cyclones here. Slept though one as a kid, though. I kept being moved around through the night and woke up to the mess.
I had Lord Pizzmic - as Pizzmic, a great if somewhat insidious character! - in my first PbP PFS game as a GM on here (GM FurtiveZoog), and then in a followup game.
My character's name is a way-inside joke, coming from the seemingly ever-changing way a particular word (norepinephrine) was mispronounced by a friend... Norna thinks she has lived many lives, reincarnated into different forms, and, in a sense, this is now true as I've created a number of permutations of her character: Norine Pepfarin Epfafeen, Naurin Ferrick Phren, and Knorrin Eppa the Friend, in addition to the F2F character Nora/Norrah Epfa Epfarien.

Nice to meet you, Matt! I'm Stephan, currently a college student living in the Netherlands. We generally don't have cyclones here, but it does rain an awful lot. (Like it does right now.)
I'm fairly new to Pathfinder: started last November. I've played several RP games on other sites before, but have concluded I like Pathfinder better.
So far I've finished two small campaigns. When I have a better understanding of all the rules I'd like to GM some campaigns. I'd very much like to create my own homebrew.
Lord Pizzmic |
I've started this campaign several times now and honestly (Hero can attest) this is the best group so far. The group has flavorful characters and the roles will become more defined as we continue. The first part of the scenario drags a lil with a lot of investigation, so some of the support characters will have a blast being there is a lot of RP interaction early on. The story will begin to unfold and the combat guys will be able to start rolling dice. Eldon's Nat 20 dealing with the mob solved the first encounter without bloodshed.
I don't know if i introduced myself on here or not but my name is Les, I'm 25 and live in south NJ. I'm a uber nerd when it comes to tabletop gaming. I briefly owned a game store here in NJ a couple years ago and have played almost every specialist game out there. I play a ton of miniature games F2F and luckily have a solid gaming community of friends that share similar hobbies. I'm currently going to junior college for Human Services with the intention of transferring next year to gain my bachelor's in Social Work.
BURLEE |
Well! I saw all of this, and learned about people, so I figured I'd go into myself a little bit too!
My name is Gary, I'm 23 and live (for now) in West Virginia. I've never played a tabletop game before (Unless you count a campaign of Mordeheim, which I did meh in), but roleplayed for many, many years. Burlee was actually a character created on WoW, and whenever I'd jump onto the Skype or Ventrilo, I'd yell BURLAY, which evolved into a constant happenstance between the other players.
I know Pizzmic, and have known him for quite a bit. He's seen potential in my RP skills to be added into this little group, and invited me to this game.
I'm waiting for residency in May, and I will be attending Nursing school in WVU, aspiring to climb the medical industry's ranks. Right now, I work for Bank of America (DON'T KILL ME!)
Vladlena |
(Long look at the banker, followed by a slow reptilian blink and another long look)
OK you are safe for now.
I'm Terry, and I'm from north Queensland, Australia, the city of Townsville. I'm a tutor and writer, science fiction mostly, going for my doctorate in literature. And we get 2 to 4 cyclones a year, between October and May.
I'm really enjoying the game
Genesis Garland |
Forgive my absence, I have been swamped with work for awhile. I didn't even know we were doing introductions.
It is a pleasure to meet you all, I am Rick. I am rather young I suppose. 21 but have been roleplaying since the age of 5 when my folks where in the whole atmosphere of DnD and the like. I was in the airforce as of recently, completing my contract and am now here in Florida enjoying the time with my family. Might I say I really do enjoy the differences in personality and vibrant characters here in this game. I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Heto Rohen |
Late post, Pizzmic can attest to that being common for me. Also South New Jersey, 33 with twin 5 year old girls, hence the always late. Probably one of the few nerds that Pizzmic will admit gives him a run for his money in level of nerdiness. Been gaming for 21 years now, I have embraced my role as one of the creepy old guys in the local gaming scene.
Vladlena |
Lol

Re the question on the Gameplay thread, I would be happy with someone being the party leader. It is amazing how much time some things - going north or south at a dungeon intersection, for example - can take otherwise, even if they are trivial. It helps, of course, if the person being the leader is in a position to post more often. We might also agree on a flexible leadership role, where anyone can suggest the next way to go.
Vladlena |
I have no objections. How do we decide who it is though.
Norna Pheperra Raffereene |
Well, if it isn't simply "flexible", I would nominate Eldon as the default, especially at this stage in the adventure, since Eldon seems the most natural "face" of the party, and is quite communicative. (Later, during a dungeon crawl, say, it might be the person up front or scouting ahead.)
Eldon Appleton |
I don't mind functioning as the leader/face in default or diplomatic situations, but combat surely needs someone else. Don't yet know who though, because we haven't had combat thus far and I haven't been able to see who'd fit that role.
Eldon Appleton |
These rolls, hahaha! Just wait till combat starts and we're facing evil spirits: I'll talk them to death! :P
Vladlena |
Karma man, it may bite you on the a% $
Eldon Appleton |
Every time I roll I expect it may happen, and it's only a matter of time :P
DM_Pizzmic |
hey gang heads up, I realize that Genesis hasn't posted for like 5 days, I message him yesterday if i don't get a response, ill open the position up for recruitment. He might very well of had something come up, life happens but there are plenty of nerds LFG so if i can find one that is interested and fits the group they will be a late arrival to the party...
Vladlena |
Boy I hope lena's plan works
ready my color spray if it doesn't
Heto Rohen |
Bathing Burlee is possibly the most traumatic role playing event I have gone through... and I once played an over sexed, flamboyant, bisexual, male, elf, touch spell/grappling based sorcerer....
Leading a parade through a city using our group's half orc bard as a pole to pole dance on was less disturbing then this.
Vladlena |
I liked the way I got burlee to go to the bath, by channeling my mother, LOL
Norna Pheperra Raffereene |
Hi all,
My computer is in the shop and my backup computer is resisting all attempts to start up properly, so I may need to be botted by someone or GMPCed if there's a holdup.
I may be able to sneak some time in to make a post, though, but don't want to hold things up.
Eldon Appleton |
This might be a good time to choose a party leader for combat situations? (I have a strong feeling combat's coming inside this crypt.)
I'd say Heto: he's active and doesn't need to wash multiple times a day.
Vladlena |
I wonder what we are going to hit. Undead, bugs, snakes (why does it have to be snakes, a secret kobold colony? OK scratch that last one. Hopefully there is something here. Probably a big spider.
