Do your research before the trip. We were prepared but so much has changed at Disney World walking in blind would be rough. The biggest thing to learn about is Geni +, the app that now replaces Fast Pass and other things. I will not bias you with my opinion on the product.

Oh I have been!! I keep Disney Food Blog on my YouTube list and keep up to date with everything. They're great! They do more than food obviously.

just had a friend come back from a trip there, and he was pretty disappointed. was apparently way busier than he hoped it would be on a week that was supposed to be fairly low attendance.

We're going in October. It'll be mine and my wife's third time together, my daughter's second, and my son's first. My wife is already knee deep in planning, she loves it. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the 10 hour flight!

Ten hours?! Ours is only 5... I do need to figure out if we want to use genie+ or not... My husband had never been so I'm not sure what he'll want to do and I haven't been since I was small.

Yeah, 10 hours out and 8 hours back from the UK.
We've always been very efficient with FastPass previously so we probably will do Genie+ to make sure we get on everything we want to, particularly the Star Wars stuff.

You pretty much need to use Geni+ just budget for it. I was not a fan of the concept or paying for things that were free but the app actually worked really well and kept our days moving smoothly. Not the recommendations, they sucked, the ability to que up and using lightning lane is key.

That's what we want it for. We'll be going with our two kids (who'll be 7 and 2 by then) and my mother-in-law, so getting onto rides as efficiently as possible is going to be key.

Well that was an extended absence. Neither my hope or work computer could log into Paizo from some ungodly reason.
