@Shrike: I think you did convey that, and if it does turn out that these guys are evil and unrepentant, well, sometimes life deals harsh lessons. It would certainly give her pause next time.

I like that there's some disagreement between our characters about how to handle things. It makes for some interesting opportunities for banter and character development. I think once Audria's had a chance to think about this, she's going to have some doubts about how she handled it. After all, if they hadn't stopped fighting, some of us could have gotten bitten or even killed before it was over. She's not the smartest person, but she isn't stupid either, despite how it might seem sometimes.
