I haven't used up the wand, but I wasn't certain how to calculate that Concentration check for a wand and I was worried for Zith.
Ah excellent. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t forgotten.
CL 5 wand of a Level 3 spell. Concentration Check would be CL 5 + 1 (minimum 13 caster stat to cast lvl 3 spell) so + 6 total. Definitely not a great chance in this situation.
Great rolls indeed!

That was not as easy an answer as I expected. Unlike rage, it does not explicitly say that it ends if unconscious. If I was a regular medium, I know it would continue, but as a Rivethun Spirit Channeler (and the parent archetype: Spirit Dancer) I need to pay out rounds to continue. Looks like your call whether I can continue to house the spirits while unconscious.
I think it would then be similar to Bardic Performance, where the bard has to pay out rounds to maintain the performance. Same with Barbarian Rage.
"A bardic performance cannot be disrupted, but it ends immediately if the bard is killed, paralyzed, stunned, knocked unconscious, or otherwise prevented from taking a free action to maintain it each round." And again, pretty much the same with Rage.
So I think it should probably have ended. Sorry. Not that it mattered.

I think I've played Midnight Mauler already (though it was one of my first adventures in Society), so I could also run it. I've also been thinking to swap out Grandfrogger for another character - Luli, oracle - who has more personality than "blink big red eyes and croak 'Cooperate!'", and this would be an excellent in-story opportunity for that switch.

![Leaf Leshy](http://cdn.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO1120-Leaf_90.jpeg)
Hey folks, finally checking in as promised. First off, I want to apologize for dropping off the face of the Earth for the last several weeks. Everything basically snowballed - work/life busyness cut into the free time more than usual, then when I *had* the free time I'd either be tired/unable to focus on writing or had other things seeking my time, and so the longer I went without posting the harder it got to want to sit down and post even though I knew I needed to at least check in with folks if nothing else. I definitely have a better understanding of and sympathy for others who've ghosted games and then later returned to explain how things happened and they fell into a shame/embarrassment cycle mental block about the lack of posting.
It also doesn't help that there was and still is an undercurrent of me just not really feeling Pathfinder in general as of late. Even with 2e simplifying the game in a lot of ways that I actually appreciate and enjoy, it's felt like there's just so much to keep track of and every time I turn around there's another 3 or 4 classes coming out or another big setting book or it's already time for another brand new year of PFS and the usual metaplot to go with it. So I've been in a weird place where I've missed the *people* but not...really missing playing all that much. Which also made me feel guilty, even though I logically know it shouldn't.
All that said, my interest level in hobbies tends to wax and wane over time so my Pathfinder lull isn't likely to be permanent. It's taken me longer than I expected just to try and figure out what I wanted to say in this post but I know you guys have been waiting on Soddy before closing out the current adventure. If you'll bear with me a little bit longer, I'll try and get to that tomorrow/later today (since it's 3am local time as I type this). Also, remind me what you needed from me as campaign admin and I'll get that done as well. After that, I'll try and figure out what I want to do when it comes to playing and our campaign together, if that's okay. Thanks again and I'm sorry for worrying everyone.

Wow! I didn't realize you all had been going that long. Looks like Holan-Ji joined in March of 2021, so I've only been here for half.
Okay, Origins is a wrap. I GMed both SF Specials and a PF2 Bounty. Played a bunch and saw several folks from previous cons and traveling games. Hillary and Bret (Hmm and bretl) were here, as was Ivis and Alex among many many others. Some nice news "coming soon" on the Paizo hiring front (we got an early announcement, but it hasn't been officially announced.)
Back to this session, we've just got some RP to deal with the Shadow, Sergeant Major Sumidagawa.

FJC Question: This (by any lucky chance) apply to this session?

I think a case could be made that Michiko's armor is "unique" as it is graveknight armor imbued with her unique soul. Much like an intelligent item would be considered a unique item, whether it shows up on the chronicle or not. I'd say yes.
==================================================
Separate topic: I'm in a 2e PBP game. We're exactly half way through a scenario (Absalom Initiation). It's one of those scenarios that are comprised of 4 missions, do them in any order, they're not related to each other.
I'm playing a Battlecry! playtest commander. The GM has decided he doesn't want to continue. He asked me if I wanted to take over. Can I?
I mean, obviously I can, but since there are only 3 other players, someone (likely me) would have to also run a pregen. Playtest characters count as pregens for chronicle reporting, so do I just keep running the playtest character I made, or would I swap him out for a "true" pregen?
![](/WebObjects/Frameworks/Ajax.framework/WebServerResources/wait30.gif)
![]() |
![Forgotten Pharaoh Cultist](http://cdn.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO9080-Cultist.jpg)
Technical response: the <4 players exception was written with the intent of running a vetted pregen.
That said, who's going to double check? It's not like that's not the current setup for the party. So if you can change your mental gears, and your table is cool with it, it's probably fine. I would have different feelings if this was a GM saying they were going to play a playtest character as a pregen to fill a 3-seat table from the get go.

did we "recover a relic or artifact associated with a good-aligned deity or holy crusade"?
I don't think so. Only her holy symbol, which wouldn't really count as a "relic or artifact" I believe.
did we defeat an undead with CR at least 6
Oh yes. The dullahans were each CR 7, and both the shadow and Michiko were CR 8.

Got one or two questions for you PFS GM: I'd like to try my hand at GMing myself on PFS (selected an adventure, "The Pallid Plague", if you're interested to join later)
-Do I need to register somewhere on the forums as a PFS GM first ?
-A question about Chronicles: how the Hell do you modify them for each player? I do have the adventure in PDF, but how can I modify a PDf? Should I print one copy of the chronicle for each player, write on it, then scan it again in PDF?
![](/WebObjects/Frameworks/Ajax.framework/WebServerResources/wait30.gif)
![]() |
![Forgotten Pharaoh Cultist](http://cdn.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO9080-Cultist.jpg)
Sorry, all. Chaos at home.
Re: Hepsubia
1. No. Registering as a player to get your Org Play number also counts as registering as a GM. However, if you are not GMing for an established event--local venue or a convention--you will need to create an event to get a reporting number. Creating an event is under the My Organized Play section, and it will ask a bunch of questions that don't matter like what time of day the event occurs and does it repeat.
If you're GMing for an established event that someone else created, all you'll need is that reporting number.
2. Lots of ways. Printing, handwriting, and scanning to PDF is definitely a common way.
I used to use a free PDF writing tool. I would print the page with the chronicle from the PDF to a new PDF file. Then I would edit that single-page PDF with the tool to fill out the chronicle.
Now I used RPGChronicles.net. I know it's free to use as a player, but I can't remember if the $5/month is required to use it for chronicle generation at all or if the fee is just for the ability to email chronicles to the players directly from the site. Now that I have a paid account, I can't find a way for it to tell me what I'm paying for.

![Gunslinger](http://cdn.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO1118-Gunslinger_90.jpeg)
1. What Zith said
2. I use Microsoft Edge now for PDF manipulation. I save just the page of the chronicle to pdf as a separate document. Do the editing for each PC. Save each as a new document.
The free RPG Chronicles account will allow you to print out (including print to pdf) a copy of each PC’s chronicle, but won’t email it. It also only puts on the chronicle the info the PC submits, so I found I ended up doing extra editing on them anyway.

![Consigliere](http://cdn.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO1134-Consigliere_500.jpeg)
I started using RPG Chronicles, but I don't pay for it. I download the pdfs of the chronicles, annotate them with comments or artwork, then email, Dropbox or Discord them to the players.
I use a free Windows app called PDFgear to edit them.
