More on my homebrew use of scenarios...
I regularly steal sections of adventures whole cloth for my home games... or at least the maps.
Most of my Golarion homebrew has been in Varisia, and I've used more Season 4 scenarios than any other season. I didn't see too many from that season on the list.

I have the same as Gummy: 2+2 recharges and 2 non- rechargable for 6.
I'm willing to spend them all for this campaign.
I forgot that I had played 5-22: Scars of the Third Crusade. I'm not super keen on replaying that one. It's a murder mystery so I'd be keeping quiet for a whole bunch of the scenario.
I'll look for some 1-5s...
EDIT: I think I forgot your original question. Shores of Heaven is the only thing I'm dying to replay. The others were ones thst were so good that I wouldn't blink replaying.

Anything in Garund would be cool, as far as themes go: Mwangi, Holomog, Thuvia, Osirion, Geb... I forget, there's several countries on Garund. Or any archeological/ancient ruins delving adventure. :)
9-04: The Unseen Inclusion
Oh, none of us have played the Sun Orchid Scheme, 7-21, I heard that's a good one.
6-08: The Segang Expedition might be fun.

Sorry I’ve been slow to post... I’ve had a headache for a couple days that’s making it tough to spend much time looking at phone/computer screens. I’ll try to post soon but feel free to bot me if needed.

Here's hoping you feel better soon, Slyvak!
@GM Ladile: I haven't got any games scheduled, so I'm free to play all the scenarios you've listed.

Hey, no worries! I hope I didn't come across as snippy; I do appreciate the corrections because I'm by no means perfect - and I'm more likely to make mistakes when I post late, which was when that initial post was made.
@Sylvak - As I said elsewhere, take care and I hope you feel better soon!
@Theodric - Thank you for your honesty! I trust the folks who will be burning replays and/or have read some of the scenarios for other purposes not to metagame :)
Okay, so looks like Scions of the Sky Key trilogy is out unless Hepsubia has some replays burning a hole in her pocket; same for Library of the Lion. However, it looks like we're good to go through the entire Tyranny of the Winds trilogy since Zithembe & Kiango are willing and interested in spending replays for the parts they've already done! Same for To Seal the Shadow.
(By the way, do *not* feel pressured to burn a replay if you don't want to - this goes for anyone who might have one!)
If there's not a lot of interest in Scars of the Third Crusade I can strike that one off the list and certainly add Sun Orchid Scheme and Segang Expedition!
Also hoping to maybe sneak in some fey/whimsy sort of scenarios for Ylva's benefit (also because they're fun) but some of my immediate go-tos are currently off the table like Overflow Archives and Down the Verdant Path. Scourge of the Farheavens does take you up into Iobaria and it's a 1-5; that one might be fun :)

Both Sun Orchid Scheme and Segang Expedition are great scenarios for PbP! I've ran them both and they were really fun, but there's no way I'd be able to do Sun Orchid Scheme justice in person. Anyhoo, I think they would both be great additions and I'm totally fine with striking Scars of the Third Crusade to get them. :)
If you need help looking for fey/whimsy (I do love fey,) I'll have a look later on to see if there's anything I can suggest.

Hey, thanks for your patience! We had a couple days here in the mid to high 90s (around 36 celcius, I think) and I am not well suited for the heat. I rarely wear more than a sweatshirt even in those (in)famous Buffalo snow storms, but apparently doing anything at all when its really hot out will give me heat exhaustion. It took a while to get over the dehydration that came with that but I'm feeling much better now and should have a post up tonight.
I'm going to be out of town for the weekend but I should be able to post regularly from my phone.

That's just a rough outline of course and always subject to change. It's also possible to squeeze in more scenarios if everyone wanted to play slow-track but that'd basically have to be a unanimous decision. Thoughts?
Zithembe of the Six Paths
|
I don't think doing the entire campaign slow track is a good idea... It's 33 scenarios at normal, and if you estimate an average 2 months per scenario we're at a 5+ year commitment. You bump that to 66, and, well, I haven't even been married that long yet. ;)
However, on more concrete issues, I'm already slow tracking to burn off some of my lead. With those scenario thresholds (playing 1-5s at 5th, 3-7s at 7th), I'm going to need to slow track more. I don't mind doing that--I wanted a safety buffer for my rare chronicle, which is why I used a number with so much GM credit--but it would be a while before the entire party could slow track without pushing me out for a scenario or two.
| GM Ladile |
Hah! Good point on the speed; I probably run at a slightly more sedate pace than a lot of PFS GMs anyway so slow-tracking may not be a good idea after all.
If the scenario thresholds are going to cause more scheduling issues I can adjust the order as needed. This is my first time trying to plan out scenarios in advance so bear with me :)
Tupp Thistledown
|
Looks great! I love that we'll have an extended expedition into the worldwound halfway through.
I'll probably take a couple of scenarios on the slow track after hitting level two to put me on par with the brand new characters, but yeah, a whole campaign on slow might be a little tricky. Although, you never know, when we get nearer the end, I bet we'll all want to start slow tracking games just to keep the campaign going that little bit longer. :)
P.S. I haven't mentioned this yet, but I also love the name of the campaign! So happy to be a part of this. :)
Kiango
|
That looks like a fantastic spread! What I really like is how we (at least on first glance) go to a bunch of different areas across the earlier areas but then revisit them when we are higher level! It'll be really cool to visit areas again with different powers at our disposal :D
I'd prefer to not slow track the group. I <3 you all, but leveling is a fun process for me and PbP is slow enough as it is! Honestly, if we want to keep going with the group after we "retire" from the Society, we could just try to play with different characters together and maybe even a GM rotation! :) or, you know, play through seeker levels.
| GM Ladile |
Glad you guys are excited! And the nice thing about PFS is that you know when you'll level - every three scenarios on Normal track :)
| GM Ladile |
Now that I've got a little more time (again) I did want to add that I'm glad folks like the campaign name - a bit of poking fun at myself since a lot of my GM posts tend to be on the wordy side of things :)
As far as the scenario 'route' is concerned, yes, that's sort of what I was going for! I tried to schedule scenarios in such a manner that you naturally segue from one to another by region; the planar scenarios are wild cards since I figured after heading back to the Material from a different plane you can more or less get plopped down wherever you want and/or need to be.
(Side note - there are a LOT more Tian Xia scenarios then I'd realized.)
| GM Ladile |
Hey folks, got called in to work tonight on somewhat-short notice so updates here and elsewhere will be delayed a bit to either later tonight or tomorrow morning.
Kiango
|
Hang in there! Idk about you, but last minute changes are really annoying for me. *Nacho Libre voice* YOU CAN DO IT!
| GM Ladile |
Haha, thanks!
In other news, the last (and only other time) that I ran this, my group decided to try eating the wall lichen. I'm not sure if the current shenanigans here are better or worse than that :P
Ylva Whitescale
|
Same here. I think Hepsubia and Ylva are going to be trouble once they get to know each other. I really hope there's a scenario where we have to infiltrate some place fancy. I've got something I really want to try.
| GM Ladile |
| 3 people marked this as a favorite. |
Not a problem! While I *do* want us to move along at a halfway-decent pace, I also don't want folks to feel like they can't indulge in some silly (or serious) bits of character interaction :)
Tupp Thistledown
|
Haha, I have no idea which aspect that would be for, but eating the wall lichen is definitely an interesting choice. :)
Tupp Thistledown
|
Hehe, I think that was more than just lichen. :)
In other news. I'll be moving home (and country) from the 31st of July and not only will I be unavailable during all the time spent travelling, I won't be able to post until I have managed to get the internet connected to my new house. I don't know how long I'll be dark, but please feel free to bot me (GM or Players) while I'm gone. There are rough botting instructions in Tupp's profile.
| GM Ladile |
No worries, Tupp! I'll bot you as needed and hopefully you won't miss *too* much while you're moving :)
Tupp Thistledown
|
Thanks! :)
| GM Ladile |
By the way, for those here who might have a character in the 3-7 range, would any of you be interested in a game of #8-19 Treacherous Waves for the upcoming Gameday? My local VA & their SO asked if I would run it for them, partly so the SO can try playing in PbP mode. When I've got PbP newbies at a table I like to cherry-pick the rest of the table just a bit for folks who I know can and will help show the new folks a good time :)
Ylva Whitescale
|
Hey, I think I wasn't clear on what I was doing. Ylva is cutting down into the square with the column.from the square Hepsubia was in. She should be able to get past by squeezing unless I'm missing something.
| GM Ladile |
Ah okay, I read it as you trying to actually move through the enemy space and thus getting shut down due to the failed Acrobatics check. Will adjust the post.
Kiango
|
I think I have a level 7 cleric of Asmodeus. I'd have to check his level for sure (might be level 8), but he can be quite the a~!@!!#. I'd play him down of course, but even a little but of that may be off-putting to someone learning the ropes.
| GM Ladile |
Interesting....I believe they're bringing a swashbuckler and vigilante in the 4-5 range, respectively. But if all three of you would be interested then that'd make 5 people :)
Kiango
|
What would the APL be? I'm not a huge fan of playing out of tier tbh, but I have no issue playing a pregen instead.
EDIT: Oh wait! I have two level 5 fighters! Haha! AND a cleric of Sarenrae at level 4! Don't ask how I missed THREE of my own characters on the first pass, but I apparently managed.
