Brother Grergof Varsk |

We should consider getting a selection of healing scrolls next time we are in town.
Remove Poision, curse, blindness, disease, etc.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Can you use more then one for a given spell level?
If not, Grergof could take it.
But that's LOW on the prirority list.
Don't forget we still have all the stuff from the Temple too.
So lots of Mage centric magical goodies for you all to divide up.

Darius Redgrave |

Hope the Bastard Sword doesn't negate any of my abilities since it's not Iomedae's signature weapon. Ugh herolab still puts a -4 on using a BS. Bleh.
Not quite clued on on what Pearls of Power do, who can benefit from them the most? If it's spell related and there's three then then spellcasters should each get one. But I'm easy hey. I sorta wanna focus on making Darius a frontline undead channeling killing machine! rawr!
If you notice most of my spells are for buffing me up for fighting.

Darius Redgrave |

it allows you to recall a first level spell that you have cast and cast it again as if you had not.
Oh cool. I should probably take ant haul for all the crap I'm carrying.

Foxy Quickpaw |

You should get a bag of holding for all the crap you carry. Or sell it and get useful stuff for it.
Now if we would go for the RAW, then Stam couldn't use the pearls of power, as he doesn't use prepared spells, but only prepares spells known for the day. Alchemists don't prepare spells too. They prepare extracts. So the only ones able to use it would be Grergof and Darius.

Darius Redgrave |

I'll gladly take one.
Ant haul lasts for 16 hours for me so that will help till we get bags of holding or can sell stuff.

Stam Truthfinder |

Foxy Quickpaw |

There is the runestone for the sorcerer that costs 2000gp. But the limitation of the wizard is that he has to decide beforehand what spells to prepare. The pearl of power allows a wizard to recall any one spell he prepared. Adding to his number of spells he can cast and relieving the limits of having to decide beforehand.
The arcanist is a great class to help the sorcerer to become more versatile.

Stam Truthfinder |

@ Spugs
This is the stuff that was suggested to me for my Alchemist in a different game.
Admixture vial- 5K
Belt of Dex - 4K
Headband of Int 4K
Boro Bead level 1 - 1k
Boro Bead level 2 - 4k
Foruma Alembic - 200 gp
Hybridization Funnel 200 gp
Preserving flask, level 1 1k
Lots of potions to use with Alchemical Allocation - fly and Displacement come to mind immediately
And under mundane gear this is something called a bomb launcher. Its 10 gp and is a consumable. Its used up with the bomb. It increases bomb range increment to 30'.
And there are all sorts of cool alchemical weapons to consider.

Darius Redgrave |

If it's cool, I would like...
+1 Breastplate
Ring of Protection
MW Light crossbow
And a pearl of Power
And if no one claims then a Cloak of Resistance.
If that's cool. If anyone else would rather have any of those then Just the breastplate.

Stam Truthfinder |

Breast plate +1 (2) = 2700
Scythe +1 (3) = 6954
Onyxes 450g (3) = 1350
Spell component pouch (6) = 60
Wand of command dead (6) = 3240
Masterwork cross bow (3) = 1005
Masterwork Short Sword (6) = 1860
Thieves’ tools (6) = 180
Loose cash 390
Cloak of Resistance +1 (3) = 3000
Ring of Protection (2) = 4000
Total = 24,739 without it all being cut in half.
Stam has a cloak so if each of you don’t have one and take one that leaves 3
Stam took a ring I figured we would each grab one leaving 2
Things left over:
Unholy water (8)
Blood Root Poison (6 with 4 doses each)
Spell Books x 6
Whispering way Amulet x 6
Silver Unholy symbol of Urgathoa x 3
Stam will also sell his Wand of burning disarm and charm person.
Charm person = 285 gp
Burning disarm = 150 gp

An Ox is just a bovine domesticated to pull a plow. So historically they could be male or female. And oatmeal with Cows milk is not bad at all. Grergof has no clue why The DMs mind went into the gutter, and I plan on playing it that way...
Well, thanks for the history/language lesson. My first language doesn't know that broader definition of ox. Which then leads straight to pictures you don't want to have in your mind.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Oh I got it as it’s not the commonly used definition any more. But Grergof being sheltered a bit would not have..

Foxy Quickpaw |

WEREWOLF!
Darius cast napstack, rested, prepared spells and casted remove curse on himself and remove blindness on Grergof.
Then the moon rised and everyone saw clearly what happened to Darius. And his transformation from Darius over Hairy Darius, Sweaty Darius, Bone Moving Darius to Werewolf Darius takes a few minutes and the final transformation a full round action.
And yes, the big bad wolf is evil.
Darius, you get a DC 25 Will save for your mind not to subdue to the beast in you. And all others might act before Darius is transformed.
Congratulation to the Wis Bonus.
natural armor bonus of the base animal increased by +2.
Defensive Abilities: A natural lycanthrope gains DR 10/
silver in animal or hybrid form. An afflicted lycanthrope
gains DR 5/silver in animal or hybrid form.
Speed: Same as the base creature or base animal,
depending on which form the lycanthrope is using.
Hybrids use the base creature’s speed.
Melee: A lycanthrope gains natural attacks in animal
and hybrid forms according to the base animal.
Special Attacks: A lycanthrope retains all the special
attacks, qualities, and abilities of the base creature.
In hybrid or animal form it gains the special attacks,
qualities, and abilities of the base animal. A lycanthrope
also gains low-light vision, scent, and the following:
Change Shape (Su) All lycanthropes have three forms—a
humanoid form, an animal form, and a hybrid form.
Equipment does not meld with the new form between
humanoid and hybrid form, but does between those forms
and animal form. A natural lycanthrope can shift to any of
its three alternate forms as a move-equivalent action. An
afflicted lycanthrope can assume animal or hybrid form as
a full-round action by making a DC 15 Constitution check,
or humanoid form as a full-round action by making a DC
20 Constitution check. On nights when the full moon is
visible, an afflicted lycanthrope gains a +5 morale bonus to
Constitution checks made to assume animal or hybrid form,
but a –5 penalty to Constitution checks made to assume
humanoid form. An afflicted lycanthrope reverts to its
humanoid form automatically with the next sunrise, or after
8 hours of rest, whichever comes first. A slain lycanthrope
reverts to its humanoid form, although it remains dead. For
additional rules on this supernatural ability, see page 298.
Curse of Lycanthropy (Su) A natural lycanthrope’s bite
attack in animal or hybrid form infects a humanoid target
with lycanthropy (Fortitude DC 15 negates). If the victim’s
size is not within one size category of the lycanthrope,
this ability has no effect.
Lycanthropic Empathy (Ex) In any form, natural lycanthropes
can communicate and empathize with animals related to
their animal form. They can use Diplomacy to alter such
an animal’s attitude, and when so doing gain a +4 racial
bonus on the check. Afflicted lycanthropes only gain this
ability in animal or hybrid form.
Ability Scores: +2 Wis, –2 Cha in all forms; +2 Str, +2 Con
in hybrid and animal forms. Lycanthropes have enhanced
senses but are not fully in control of their emotions and
animalistic urges. In addition to these adjustments to the
base creature’s stats, a lycanthrope’s ability scores change
when he assumes hybrid or animal form. In human form,
the lycanthrope’s ability scores are unchanged from the base
creature’s form. In animal and hybrid form, the lycanthrope’s
ability scores are the same as the base creature’s or the base
animal’s, whichever ability score is higher.

Foxy Quickpaw |

As Darius decided on Vollensag, I gess the base creature is a Worg.
And he transforms into hybrid form.

Darius Redgrave |

Oh boy. So I'll have to make a Will save in the gameplay thread. So is the will save to maintain control?
Sorry the way you worded it is a bit confusing to me.

Were-Darius |

I'm heading out for the evening then have a breakfast tomorrow before finally wrapping the last of everyone's Christmas presents and assembling my nephews bicycle for Christmas day so can't work on my stats at the moment. Will try later tonight or tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. Hope that's alright.
Busy time of year.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Merry Christmas to any of you in the western Christian tradition.
Hope your Day is filled with peace, and happiness.
Foxy just let us know when we can act again....

Foxy Quickpaw |

Being a werewolf is mostly scary for the lycanthropy you could catch. All the power came from their class levels. They just get an additional bite. And your cleric/exalted is not the greatest melee fighter and you're not even using your normal weapon attacks. But if you manage to stay alive, you're going to rip that cultist apart. But if your companions help with that, it might be a bit easier.

Foxy Quickpaw |

On that note. I also have the Inner Sea Gods book. There is this one part that reads:
In order to maintain the abilities granted by this prestige class (including all spellcasting abilities that have been augmented by this prestige class), an exalted must perform a daily obedience to the deity she worships
And I haven't read you doing the obedience ever in the game.

No worries. Here I did:

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Ya... I’ve always assumed Grergof and Darius are both up early praying to meet the dawn.
I don’t know that we call it out every time, but most nights that seems to be part of our morning posts.
Not really required for Grergof but I’ve always envisioned him in my head trying to hold on at least a little bit to the monistaries dicipline with Dawn prayers and simple living when he can.

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

Hi, I'm Gwenhwyfar. I'm a witch - well, technically. This requires me to rest eight hours at night before preparing my spells in the morning sitting eye to eye with Destinée Noir, my familiar. Besides that I'm a follower of Sarenrae.
Therefore I tell my companions good night early on a regular basis and in the morning I move to my favourite spot watching the sun rise leaning at the tree in front of Heidmarch Manor's guest house, before meditating with Destinée. And if that is not possible due to adventuring, I search for some similar peaceful spot where I can watch the sun rise. This has become a lot easier, since I can cast Dim Door, as it allows me to do so even if we're on multiple day dungeon crawl.
Because you know - there is ROLE play and there is ROLL play, and for the former it helps a lot to spell such fluff out instead of just telling that you do your morning obedience. Especially when you choose a prestige class that builds completely on that one thing.

Foxy Quickpaw |

Such playing out non combat stuff also causes interesting group dynamics, when the groups sorcerer impatiently drums his fingers on the wooden table while all those pious people take like forever to get their praying done. Or the elf rogue gladly snores through that time that allows her to sleep in.
You are all living together for some months already and so far I guess you don't know what the obedience of Darius really is. At least I don't remember and had to look it up:
Hold your primary weapon in front of you and hang a holy symbol of Iomedae from it. Kneel while focusing on the holy symbol, pray for guidance and protection from the Inheritor, and swear to follow her teachings.
So it's a rather easy one. But telling every morning "I swear to follow the example and the teachings of the Inheritor today and every day that will come!" will for sure shape who Darius is and the picture the others have of him. And what are Darius' feelings about swearing that, when he knows there is a beast living inside him and not being sure if he can control it the next time?

Darius Redgrave |

I see what yer saying. Again, I didn't quite know how much into it you wanted me to get. Esp since my regular home GM is way more into the roll-play than the role-play si I've picked up some habits and still my first ever cleric :)
Nut I'll work on that.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Two things:
1) I think Darius is the only one with remove curse so he has to take the lead on that.
2) All, I’ll be traveling with little if any internet access for the next 72 hours. So feel free to bot me as needed until I get back.

Foxy Quickpaw |

Shall I give your group a tour of the places of interest in Feldgrau? Which means, I would send you into the buildings in an order I think appropriate?
Or do you want to tell me what building you visit? Which would need one to suggest and one to agree, or one who stomps in and hopes the others to follow. As the map of Feldgrau has no labels I'd say you can address the buildings by squares to the right and down from the top left corner of the map. Every house with a roof is a possible target.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Go ahead and lead us to whatever order of building would make the most interesting story.
