As for Buffing - Grergof is set up to buff as he fights. There's nothing to prep so he will keep pushing forward if you let him. It's up to the rest of you to pull him back if you need time to buff.

About that wind wall. I'm not sure what it would do to the cloud. as you're in a closed room, and the wind wall blows stuff upwards you'd get a 2ft narrow 5ft high wall of wind that blows the cloud upwards. I don't see how that would help.
Even if you shape it to become thicker to create some kind of tunnel that is high and wide enough for you to walk in, wouldn't it just suck in the surrounding cloud?
To get 5x5x10 high you'd need 3 caster levels. That doesn't look like it is getting you anywhere.

and if the area where the BBEG is located is just a tent with no roof over it I could blow the cloud and the tent apart and away from where he is hidden.
You should step closer to stand in the area that is free of that cloud. Or you might fall victim to that cloudkill. If you go to the other room you're out too, but can't do anything.
There is the line you freed in front of you and the cloud moves away from the tent. As the hands went inside there is enough space for you.

Hmmm... Being grappled is interesting. I had forgotten the bit about not being able to do anything with two hands. Guess my flail will be useless unless my companions can take care of this.

So the hands are now in the tent with Grergof and the Necromancer right? And is the cloud gone?
Yep, a Dagger or spiked gauntlet is always standard equipment for my characters.... You never know when you might need it for role playing or in a grapple.
Advancement track
Characters should be 7th level when they begin “Broken
Moon.” The PCs should be 8th level by the time they arrive

End of the adventure is relative. But now that I notice, you're just level 8, I could have thrown the circle of death at you... mmmh.

sadly I do have a spell that can help against these wolves but cos Stam isn't of good alignment he'd get hit too.

Actually Neutral also get injured. Was gonna use the Holy Smite spell.
