I'm in one that is forming and we are looking for a couple more players.Just so you know, it's a MUCH slower post schedule. (They really do one post a day, so combat can take a couple weeks sometimes) All the characters are level 1 or is just starting, but the other players in there have been consistent posters with me for a couple years now. The plan is to run those scenarios that we all wanted to play but have never had a chance.
If your are interested, let me know and I'll see about getting you an invite to the game.
Yeah man, would dig to get my little Halfling Warslinger into a game. And slow posting is good for me. I'm a little overextended so games that have like 15 posts a day are hard for me. So like 2 or so is cool.

Just a quick note. My main computer seems to have crashed and I am on my old computer that I hooked up. Dunno what happened but I will still try to post and see what happened

Good luck, hope you don't lose anything important.

Sounds like some critical sectors on you Boot drive got corrupted.
If you are running windows and have a boot CD or USB drive, you may be able to boot upon that then run scandiskon the drive to recover it.
Or if you were recently inside the box or moving it around, there a small possibility the data cable to the drive is just loose. But most likely it's the first.

I gave you a reference to the map with complete description. You are in a residence for nobles, so please act the part (if you make the rolls).
Spugs for example would get suspicious looks if he would start to wash his clothes himself.
If you want something ask. There is someone around to do that. Besides that I suggest meeting in one of the common rooms and not at the main entrance. Also Grergof needs to get his medicine.
Brother Grergof Varsk |
Grergof took his medicine look a good boy, but it doesn't seem to be helping... How many days until the full moon?
Foxy Quickpaw |
Wolfsbane
Type poison (ingested); Save Fortitude DC 16
Onset 10 minute; Frequency 1/minute for 6 minutes
Effect 1d3 Con damage; Cure 1 save
Your decision what the first fort save was for. You need to make one to resist the poison and you get another one to resist the lycanthropy.
Even though I won't force the alignment change that comes with being werewolfy, I'll create an alias for that and if you fail your saves at full moon I'll do a rampage for you that will be hard to explain and will bring up the need for some regular Atonement rituals.
Foxy Quickpaw |
Behind a locked, oversized door of
reinforced oak (hardness 5, hp 20, Break DC 25), this old
stone well-shed provides entrance to a natural limestone
cavern reworked and partitioned to form a series of crude
underground holding cells that house a menagerie of exotic
beasts for the lodge’s guests to hunt. Delgros keeps the
door chained and padlocked with a key he wears round his
neck (Disable Device DC 25). His current collection boasts a
grizzly bear, a juvenile dire boar, a dire wolverine, an elderly
and arthritic dire wolf, a lobotomized ettercap with its web
glands removed, a giant tarantula, and four large wolves.
That's where Grergof is put if he transforms :D
In our game there are no werewolves in the pens. Yet.
Foxy Quickpaw |
If Ned is dangerous then He'd be stored next to the arthritic wolf. If not, let us assume that Quiene Steymor the lodge's stable master takes him as you entered the grounds on Beliks request and barely hiding his disgust places him into a box with the horses.
But going for a werewolf hunt with an ox? Has to be a very calm specimen for that.
Brother Grergof Varsk |
I guess it makes sense that the first save would be poision. The second would be against the curse and the third+ would be to for each of the additional poision rounds.
So I guess I need to get sick and make more saves.
Foxy Quickpaw |
I guess he has at least 17 levels of
MONK OF THE SACRED MOUNTAIN.
The monk of the sacred mountain finds strength and
power in the earth beneath his feet. Rather than spinning
though the battlefield with the fluid motion of the
river, he roots himself to the ground, as immovable and
unshakable as the stones of the mountain.
Vow of Silence (Su): At 17th level, a monk of the sacred
mountain becomes as impassive as stone, making a vow of
silence in exchange for greater abilities.
You know because he doesn't move in combat and I never heard him make a single "mooo".
Foxy Quickpaw |
We got a metagaming problem here. Next time someone gets bitten by a werewolf, I'm going to make all the rolls hidden.
I'm not holding this against anyone, I fear I'm the one most metagamy in this situation, its natural to worry and take measures if you get something serious. And that you stop worrying when you know it's taken care of. But in game you wouldn't have either of these informations. At least not without further digging into the matter and coming up with a method to really check. I'm bringing suspense back!
Brother Grergof Varsk |
That's fine.
I was playing Gergof like, he didn't know the werewolf bite was a problem, then just assumes the potion cured him.
That's probably how he's going to react each time he gets bit, whether it's true or not. So expect him to be taking lots of potions as he continues to get bit. (
Brother Grergof Varsk |
yep, I just searched that up and found that out.... As soon as you said he was comming our way it triggered my memory.
Oh and yes, There may be lots of poison happening during this book... So we will need lots of wolfsbane, and most likely a bunch of lessor restorations when I fail my saves.
Foxy Quickpaw |
I wonder how they come up with the names. Echtmoor Dravin.
A: Hey let's add a dead guy with the weaverworm.
B: Why not, one that fell for that old trick and didn't survive.
A: Yeah. A death worth of a Darwin Award. Let's call him Echtmoor Darwin.
B: Nah, that's too obvious let's go with Dravin.
Brother Grergof Varsk |
How do you ever come up with names?
I think: What is his name, could be the hardest question of any for a GM to answer. Particularly when you need to come up with a dragon name.....
Your idea of how the name was settled on is just as valid as any other...
Brother Grergof Varsk |
Part of the problem is we have no idea who we can trust here yet....
The way is supposed to be around here someplace, right? Or am I wrong. Until we know more, it seem like we need to be on guard against saying much of what was going on.
Foxy Quickpaw |
I'll give you a summary:
You are after an evil necromancer that appears out of nowhere, gets his stuff done and leaves everyone who knows too much dead or dying behind in a huge mess that takes long enough to clean up that he is long gone once you could point to him as the culprit.
Exhibit A: Harrowstone
Exhibit B: The Beast/Lepidstadt/Schloss Caromarc
You haven't seen him and you are not dead, so he is not here ;)
Logically you could simply stay a night and then travel on as there is really only one path. The one you came and that leads on. But there is this game of Cluedo you have to play at the lodge first, or you skip most of the adventure.
But if there is only one path and on this path is only one house and you're searching for someone that should have taken the path - what would you do?
Now that I write it this way it sounds a lot like red riding hood. Stay on the path or the wolf will eat you!
Brother Grergof Varsk |
Ya I have to fight that with Grergof sometimes, but this time I let my inner politician loose as Grergof would be discreet about others secrets.
My friends used to tease me about the fact that I could give long winded answers and never tell them what they wanted.
Brother Grergof Varsk |
Is Madam Ivanka not a witch? For some reason I had it in my head that she was, and it was her that put the hex on the noble. Looking back I guess I made that up.
Foxy Quickpaw |
She is a Harrower and can do a card reading. But I thought the 'ruffle the sheets' is big enough a hint about the kind of business she is offering inside the walls of the lodge.
Check on the map. It is a separate building but on the premise. Why would they have a witch there? (That is a rhetorical question to set the picture in your head straight).
Brother Grergof Varsk |
Board ate my post.
I'm confused, I thought Darius and Spugnoir were off to the madams place to find out about the visitors.
Are we going hunting instead?
Foxy Quickpaw |
You're all sitting at the table with Duristan at breakfast right now. And the things to do would be either to search the library, or go to madame Ivanja (wrote her name wrong earlier).
There are more people you could try to talk to or find out what the lodge has to offer, but leaving the lodge at the moment would only get you more fights with werewolfs without getting you more information.
Darius Redgrave |
Hey guys. Just a heads up that I my posting might be at a minimum the next couple days. My laptop with herolab stuff and all my rpg related stuff sorta died on me so hopefully getting it fixed soon. So will post when I can.

Your route to Echtmoor Dravin:
- Leave the lodge in direction of Lepidstadt
- At the dead nude body at a tree move on
- About a mile or two later there is the scrub trampled on purpose. Follow that
- Keep moving towards the tower ruin
- You have reached your target. The remains of Echtmoor Dravin are on the ground inside the tower.
