Stam??? We are all waiting on you.

Foxy Quickpaw |

How is Villiras looking? Trying to decide if I should Holy Smite his butt. He's eveil right?
Reminder: Questions in gameplay, only if they are a footnote to an actual post please.
There are several options to find that out:
- casting detect evil
- ask Grergof
Asking the GM is not a valid option :P

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Seriously? How did we not immediately know he was evil if he is wearing a skull?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Oh Sure Foxy, you end our Pirate game and they announce a new edition of Pathfinder in response.
Obviously you have more power over people here then you know.

Foxy Quickpaw |

I have a character I'd like to play, which would need some cooperation of another player and the GM allowing some slack rules wise. I don't know if that would fit for Giant Slayer, but here it is:
The idea is to play a kitsune rogue, with the Fox Shape feat, starting at level one (which has a prereq of BAB +3, here some slack is needed), and act in this fox shape as the familiar of a witch (this is where the other player comes in). Would also work with a wizard, or sorcerer with arcane bloodline.

Darius Redgrave |

I don't want PF2e to be exactly like 5e. I'd like ti to be as streamlined but with ALL the options that PF is loved for. I still want the customization but the play must be slick. I'm pretty excited. We Must playtest that.
Should we put down lists of AP's then vote from 1-5 or summin?
@foxy, that sounds like a cool.

Foxy Quickpaw |

I'd like to see less rules and more flexibility. I wish for the Legolas jumping the ollifant and killing it with some arrows into the neck to be a feasible option. And I wish for an Advanced Class guide that finally allows to customize a class with a point buy like the race guide.
As for APs:
x - played/playing with this group
p - playing elsewhere
g - GMing elsewhere
- Rise of the Runelords
p Curse of the Crimson Throne
- Second Darkness
- Legacy of Fire
- Council of Thieves
- Kingmaker
- Serpent Skull
x Carrion Crown
- Jade Regent

x Wrath of the Righteous
- Mummy's Mask
- Iron Gods
- Giant Slayer
g Hell's Rebels
- Hell's Vengeance
- Strange Aeons
- Ironfang Invasion
- Ruins of Azlant
- War for the crown
If you add give your done that/don't like that, I think we'll narrow it down pretty quick.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Foxy I love the idea of one player playing another's familiar and would be more then willing to play your master/mistriss.
(Now the question is, who really is who's familiar?)

Foxy Quickpaw |

So assuming no one wants to double und stuff they've already played we're down to
- Serpent Skull
- Jade Regent
- Giant Slayer
- Strange Aeons
- Ironfang Invasion
- Ruins of Azlant
- War for the crown
Edit: list shortened by Spugnoirs input
As for GMing offers we have:
Giant Slayer - Stam

Darius Redgrave |

Of that list, my order of favourites from most interested in playing to least.
1.Strange Aeons
2.Ruins of Azlant
3.Serpents Skull
4.IronFang Invasion
5.Giant Slayer
6.Jade regent
7.War for the Crown

Foxy Quickpaw |

As I just started a Hells Rebels Game I will not offer to GM on this one. (Also I'd rather play than GM) So until someone else steps up we're at Giant Slayer for now.
That said, my opinion on the APs:
1. Giant Slayer (Not bad, as far as I know)
2. Jade regent (If the wagon trek rules are left out, or someone else does that part.)
2. War for the Crown (Dungeon crawl from the read of the first book. Might be nice)
2. Serpents Skull (This is fun. If I were to GM it- which I'm not - I'd change the start of the AP that all gear is lost, instead some guy who loses his life in trying to safe people, drags it to the beach.)
3. Ruins of Azlant (Two books underwater - meh)
4. Strange Aeons (That's the one for the Horror Adventures, right? I'd rather play Call of Cthulu, than the PF version of it)
5. IronFang Invasion (A war! Mass combat I hear you!)

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Here’s my list:
1-War of the crown - Sounds political and role play focused. Something I do enjoy a ton.
2 - Ironfang Invasion - I really loved Red Hand of Doom, and this sounds a lot like that.
3 - Giant Slayer - Giants are fine but nothing special
4 - Jade Regent - Asian theme could be interesting but I don’t know the tropes that well.
5 - Serpents Skull - Heard very mixed things about this one
6 - Ruins of Azlant - Could be interested but nothing really calling to me here.
Not Interested: Strange Aeons - Lovecraft is great as a one shot but it does not mix with the type of heroic stories that Pathfinder tells.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Given my upcoming work schedule, I doubt I could honestly commit to run a PBP game and give it the attention it deserves.
But if we all at least OK with Giant Slayer and it's already bought. I'd say lets do that.

Darius Redgrave |

I'm cool with giant slayer. Just need to figure out what I wanna play with. Possibly a Druid or Barbarian, or might try out the Shifter. I think Grergof mentioned pairing with you for the foxy fox Foxy.

Yorikata - fox |

Foxy I love the idea of one player playing another's familiar and would be more then willing to play your master/mistriss.
(Now the question is, who really is who's familiar?)
Sorry I missed that. What class would you go for?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

It's the first time I've ever looked at a Witch... I'm still trying to wrap my head around it... But I think I'm going to try to put one together, So Foxy, should I assume you are a trixty type of fox, and that a trixter type patron would fit well with your rogues theme?
Also Stam, how do you handle Illusions? If I went a Gnome Witch with some illusions, is that going to bother you?
In the same vein, if I cast Reduce person on my gnome can I ride my fox like a mount ;)

Yorikata - fox |

A creature is usually one size category smaller than it's mount. But with reduce person you end up tiny, just like the fox. But I can take you piggyback in kitsune form ;)
Besides this fox familiar idea I ave not too much detail for the character yet. I took a look and it is a mechanical nightmare. At least if I'd try to deal damage. But if I neglect that I could go Kitsune Trickster (Rogue) and improve the skill monkeying a bit with higher int. Or not. As I'd loose trap finding for some minor skill bonus and a charm person SLA with horribly bad DC.

Yorikata - fox |

About who is who's familiar I remember a witch who's name was so-and-so's girl (can't remember the real name). And so-and-so was the name of the familiar.
But that is not what I had in mind. Rather someone big to hide behind. Which works even with a gnome, for tiny fox.

Darius Redgrave |

Methinks Foxy likes foxes.
Hey Spugs, whatcha gonna play?
I think this is the perfect AP to play a Barbarian Titan Mauler no? So I might go for that maybe.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

So Barbarian, Ranger, Thief, Witch?
So I'm going to need to heal and be all the magical support?
Who's the Face? Foxy?
I kinda want to step away from the talky role for a bit.
If we did go with that kind of party, there's nobody in heavy armor, so we could actually be sneaky if we planned for it.
Also what about Trytton's Player, would we want to do 5 characters?

Yorikata |

About the witch patron. Besides the spells, there is no other effect, and the patron isn't named. So it is mostly irrelevant character background wise. If you tie it to Yorikata being a rogue (well, kind of, became a ninja now, but only mechanically, not the black body suit), there are several that would offer themselves:
Agility, Deception, Shadow, Transformation (because kitsune) and of course Trickery.

Yorikata |

If I were GM of that game I would by now complain to myself about presenting a statted out character with not a hint of a backstory.
Bad Yorikata, go do your homework.
(I have to read up on the player's guide what that AP has to offer)

Trytton |

I am enjoying the vibe of the Kinetecist quite a lot.
There are some great options for incredibly tanky earth kinetecists with some of the archetypes.
I generally seem to play the tanky characters so I would gladly fill that roll.
That is if you would have me

Darius Redgrave |

I just want to read the Giant Slayer Players guide before final decision.
I see that it's also a good campaign for mounts finally!

Yorikata - fox |

Yorikata was always a shy girl, who liked to keep to herself. Her mother a kitsune who hid her origin, her father a human. Her father didn't know. Her mother instructed her to never be seen as kitsune, to be a good human girl.
Born with the ability to take on the form of an ordinary fox, and not allowed to be seen as kitsune she always wondered what she is. A human, or a fox. Being a fox gave her the ability to get away unnoticed and listen in on conversations not meant for her ears. And as not even her mother had an idea, her cover was never blown.
Her mother was not that lucky. One day disaster struck, in form of a drunken man, who knew her. He spilled out what she was to everyone who wanted to listen, and soon a mob formed and dragged her in front of the town elders. It was a drama that tore apart Yorikata's family as well as the village. Her mother insisted being a human and nothing else, but she wasn't the best liar under that pressure. Her father couldn't stand that she deceived him all those years and even now wasn't willing t come clean. He left the meeting. Some of the citizens defended her, for being a good citizen of town, the other half wanted to burn her as a witch. The meeting ended without a conclusion, the elders decided to simply call it off as not litigable.
Her mother ran off to find Yorikata, but as she couldn't find her, she fled town without her daughter. Her father looked for her too. But Yorikata decided that evening, that she'd be a fox. She wanted no part with them any more. Neither that kitsune woman, who was ashamed of her own heritage. Nor that man who didn't fight for his wife. And not that humans who are stupid, superstitious and afraid of everything they don't know to the point where they would kill someone for being different. She put what she could carry as a fox in a bag and ran into the woods.
And from here on I need the backstory of the gnome witch to see where they meet.
