Looking over the stats and Joseph is rarther outmatched...I'll attempt to break out with strength as that's the best way.

Joseph wrestles loose his bonds and also breaks the lock on the door.
As Joseph stands outside, still with a mild headache from being drugged, possibly from surgery too, Ala'Ihys breaks down his own door.
While Brallenera is lying on her bed like Cleopatra, being passive but moody.
At that point, the derro is about to come back, just around the corner.
"Huh? O.O"
He freezes in place, now obviously aware of his guinea pigs broken loose.

It comes from the square 2 south of the derro, in a 20ft radius, complete darkness again.
Ala'Ihys and Shonne stand flanking their door, and Joseph outside his. If anyone can place them there, and maybe make a radius lining, much appreciated, as i'm posting from mobile.

so did we see the derro before it cast? Are there bars/window in the doors, so if we shut ourselves in it cannot throw in something? did we see Joseph before we were placed in darkness, can we still see back into our prison? I' thinking we go to Josephs area and drag Brallenera out of bed so we can leave.

- Going by the checks, Joseph broke out just before you did.
- The doors have no windows and your rooms are in dim lighting. (low light, but not yet dark)
- You've got to break Brallenera's door if you do.
- Feel free to do whatever you want, it's not like there's an evil little torturer with darkvision after you. ^_^

I think Shonne is right here and Joseph is just that way turning south, trying to keep his hand on the wall, or at least drag the tips of the two arrows he is holding on it, Ala'Ihys Turns toward his comrades moving to where he saw Josseph. "Come on Shonne, there is strength in numbers, lets find Joseph and Brallenera and get out of here."
at 31 lbs of gear and a str of 8, he is at med. gear, so movement 20 ft. he will double move to get to where Joseph is

Been here, done this before (a lot). I think Shonne's just going to cast 2 Prestige Points and call it a good. Remember if he hits you for 12 you're basically dead.

From the square 4 East of Ala'Ihys' current location, the team hears the gutteral muttering of the derro.

where would Josephs wand be at? It is Ala'Ihys intention to get whomever he can as whole as possible before they fight the derro, possibly barricading themselves in the two rooms to do so.

Hearing the noise to the north and the noise to the east, Ala'Ihys expects to be shot any moment, 'I will not leave without the whole team, but I need to word this so Joseph's broken mind will be able to understand. but calming himself he asks Joseph, "Where is the Wand Joseph? We need to help Brallenera, she is the only one that will be able to guide us out of his darkness."

On her turn she does likewise to the derro, casting ghost sound creating a low muttering noise like people talking in hushed tone centered under the bed at the back of the room. Some laughter too.

Maybe his 'other side' deemed it a trial to the queen of monsters?
Shonne, the lghting is low light, nothing an elf's eyes need to worry about.
The derro doesn't buy Shonne's trick, as it knows you four the only ones it had locked in there.
It was skulking the rest of the surrounding corridor.

I'm more interested the method used to illuminate my surroundings rather than how well-lit the place is. Is it done with candles, day glow fungus, Japanese hanging lanterns, torch sconces, bio-luminescent angler fish or crappy buzzing halogen tubes?
What trick? It's only a few (like three or four) voices. Maybe the others are the trick? Can I hear him skulking, hence I know he's not buying it? If derros skulk what is it that skulks do? These are the important questions of our times.

Ala'Ihys: i mentioned before that walking out, one could pick 1 weapon of choice and 1 item upon exiting the room.
It left me the impression Joseph didn't do it.
Shonne: It is not detailed, but going by the lab, it would be faintly glowing fungi.
The skulking was my wording for minding his creepie sneaky business in the corridor.
It seems no more than logical that the derro doesn't buy it, a sentient torturer that sees in the dark, with Joseph standing outside of his room, and would know from experience, prisoners it has tortured and drugged don't suddenly laugh.

If you hadn't taken a 2nd action then, yes you can enter the square. It will be a move action to find it though, in your 3rd turn, and one to pick up.
After...you could 5ft step back into the light...but that's just a friendly nudge. Str penalty is going to hurt bad enough as is.

Groaning as he hears where Joseph left the wand, Ala'Ihys move into the darkness.

after rummaging around in the dark, finding the wand Ala'Ihys grabs it and moves back into the light. Waving the wand at Joseph, "One of us need to use this and heal Brallenera, she is our best hope!"
