While the idea was good, Joseph's cantrip proved ineffective, as the darkness was stronger than his spell.
Darkness being a lvl 2 spell, it trumps a cantrip.

as for Josephs illness, I don't think the branch of Sarenrae worshipers that Ala'Ihys belongs to believes in demonic possession. Why would a very powerful demon (or any other powerful outsider, for that matter) which could come to our plane of existence in the full embodiment of their power come inside the body of a human. And what would happen to their own body back on their plane of existence if it was empty? What would keep someone else from possessing their body while they were gone? Or worse keep an enemy from killing them. No Ala'Ihys is convinced that Joseph is mentally ill, and therefor deserves Ala'Ihys understanding, sympathy and help, of course he doesn't want to upset Josephs unbalanced psyche so he would never say any of this to him out loud.

Brallenera, and the team in general, could you make saving rolls the 1st saves in the post please. I've played this always like this, saving throws before actions that can be affected by them.
In this case, you'll fail the fort save but hit the derro.
Brallenera hits the derro.
May i suggest giving the other two directions, so they can contribute hits. The derro can move freely about, less so if turned into a pincushion.
