Inkita Spiritfriend |
Inkita looks at the green target and uses her evil-eye hex on him to lower his AC by 2.
DC is 14, if failed duration is 6 rounds, if saving throw succeeds the duration is 1 round
GM Chyro |
Indeed, i'm very familiar with evil eye hexes. I have a witch.
Save doesn't mean safe ;)
Townhouse, round 3
Shonne makes a successful thrust at blue, who had lowered his defence by making a PA.
"Ugh...i surrender, you win!"
His colleague frowns at him.
Inkita Will green: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Green looks at you funny, as he can't quite place what you're doing. Bad mojo takes hold of him.
Brallenera's strike misses, as green hops up when her axe is going for his ankles.
----------
With his partner surrendering, Green decides to fight less reckless.
Green (-30) Sword, vs prone, PA: 1d20 + 7 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 4 - 1 = 20Dmg, 1 handed: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
Brallenera gets hit, but for less heavy a hit than before.

Joseph

Blue (-35, surrenders)
Lord Joseph Wraitheart |
Joseph takes a 5ft step and then attempts to thrust his rapier into the prone opponent.

GM Chyro |
Blue was prone, but i'm guessing you're going for green.
Green takes the hit.
"Alright...*spit blood*....you made your point, i surrender."
Combat over, unless you continue beating surrendering opponents. :)
Inkita Spiritfriend |
"Enough of this bloodshed! They have yielded!" Inkita says to her companions..."Do not mistake our kindness for weakness and if you turn on your word you shall be dealt with severely!" she tells the two men...
GM Chyro |
In return, both men kick their swords a foot length or two towards you.
"What now......, we leave, you leave, we never met?"
Brallenera Thalkham |
Awww, you leave. Beware, I never forget a face...
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
After they have gone
but in your case I'd be happy to make an exception
grins.
Awww, I'll need more healing, and you too, before we continue.
Inkita Spiritfriend |
Inkita taps Brallenera a few times
CLW Bra via Healstick: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

CLW Joseph via Healstick: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Inkita then taps the dwarf for good measure...
CLW Bra via Healstick: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Brallerina Healed for: 9 + 7 + 6 + 9 + 6 = 37
Joseph healed for 11
I think that does it...7 charges spent...
"If I may offer a suggestion for whence we get into combat again... duck..." Inkita says to the dwarf and then begins looking around the room ...
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Shonne |
Shonne takes the two minutes to inspect the place.
"I doubt your advice will help. It has been my experience that stumps can be unbending and quite thick."
Take 20 = perception 27
retrieve arrow (50% break): 1d100 ⇒ 11 broke
GM Chyro |
Shonne's still hurt though. :)
The two men carried nothing of interest or value.
Following the noise of a fleeing voice earlier, you find a trapdoor in the back of the house.
You'd easily spot it's not trapped.
Climbing down, you come into a small room.
This small, stuffy square room was cut from the building’s stone foundation. The room’s east wall features a large stone mosaic of stone that shows several faceless people worshipping at the top, and others being condemned at the bottom, with no figures in the middle pattern.
The mosaic contains a set of three identical circular indentations: one set within the top section, one in the empty center, and another set within the bottom section. Illuminating the room are two lit torches in sconces on the north and south walls.
There are three stone discs neatly placed on top of each other near the door.
The stones represent a happy looking female child, a grandiose city, and a brooding devil.
Related to the spoiler: puzzle time!

Awww, another trap probably...You know what? I propose I stay here, and tries the puzzle, while you look from a wee farther. I probably can survive the trap, and you'll be here to heal me. No need to get all injured again. Let's learn from our mistakes.
GM Chyro |
Psst....door's locked, there's only puzzle or back up. ;)
Inkita Spiritfriend |
before moving out Inkita will heal Shonne
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Inkita stands ready to watch the dwarf soak damage...
GM Chyro |
It beats being the one being hit by a faceless stalker, eh?
What combination?
GM Chyro |
And with that order.....
(Click), the door slowly slides open.
Gj, the other team got zapped pretty good.
Inkita Spiritfriend |
"good job... I was going to suggest something different."
GM Chyro |
Going through, you descend a spiral stairs, which comes upon a great storage of sorts.
This room is split by a long, ten-foot-wide stone walkway,
extending sixty feet east to west between two spiral staircases.
Two ladders rest on the north side of the walkway and two
more on the south, leading down into a fifteen-foot-wide
trench twenty feet below.
These sub-rooms are filled with objects ranging from decrepit suits of rusted armor, to piles of rotting furs, and to various over-stuffed footlockers.
GM Chyro |
You see three levers in the NE, SE & SW corners.
The northwest corner has a patch of rags, which looks like it might hide a 4th.
Brallenera Thalkham |
Awww, still some tricks to come... THere are levers here,
She points in the NE corner with her axe
and there,
pointing SE corner
and here too...
SW corner
and probably under the rags in the norwest too. Good thing we are four.
GM Chyro |
Any particular order who's going for which lever?
It kind of matters.
Inkita Spiritfriend |
"I suggest going in the cardinal directions order, NE then SE then SW"
GM Chyro |
You all descend the NW stairs/ladder.
Crumpled pieces of paper and cloth litter the floor.
Removing the sheets in the NW corner, it indeed hid a 4th lever.
Str 12 to pull this slightly rusty lever, any of the levers for that matter.
Shonne |
Shonne activates her wayfinder (which she keeps on a leather thong around her neck) to provide light with. Having low-light vision she can see twice as far as the lit area shown.
perception (look about): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Leather thong....? All i get is...leather kinky underwear when i google that. :)
Shonne doesn't see anything special.

I think you might be using Ogle not Google. ;)
GM Chyro |
I think you might be using Ogle not Google. ;)
Tbh, i've never even heard of Ogle until now. I did use google.
Inkita Spiritfriend |
in between the conversations about Shonnes choice of attire Inkita would like to point out she healed both Joseph (11) and Shonne (14) above...
GM Chyro |
That's been edited on the combat map, but i'm sure they love you for it regardless. ;)
GM Chyro |

Aid Shonne: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
The attempt almost worked.. But as good adventurers, you try again another 1d3 ⇒ 1 times before it works. After which you moved to the lever NE. As you pulled it back, you hear te previous lever give a sharp Click, a it reverted back to its previous position.
GM Chyro |
On ability scores, no, afaik.
Someone tried take 10 to break a webbing, but you roll for it to break, as you can fail an attempt after all.
But you can try again and again, it's just risky if there's risks involved. :)
Inkita Spiritfriend |
Panting from the unusual physical exertion, Inkita says "Do we have to do this again?"
GM Chyro |
Yes...yes...YES!!
Pick another order, maybe it'll go better.
Shonne |
"They may be timed to reset quickly or perhaps we must pull them simultaneously."
GM Chyro |
Let's go with simultaneously for good measure.
As you all pull the lever in almost synched fashion, you hear the portcullis door above shove open. A distant "What, they opened it?" from up.

Same story.
----------------------
Two imps have popped out of thin air, having stung Joseph and Inkita.
"Hehehe, mistress say we can play with intruders.
We gonna hurts you good."
These are imps. Imps are the lowest in hell's devil hierarchy, commonly summoned as familiars.
