Blue Harvest
Marauder's Mol
Enigma's Mystery
Umbra's Shadow
Century Hawk
I'll think of some more later.

Nebten Nox |

Having seen what the ship's shilouttee looks like, another vote is for Terrapin's Wrath.

Nebten Nox |

OK, I guess it was supposed to be "moll". A 1920's gangster female companion.
I always think of Gretchen Mol from Rounders with that term. She's got a bit of '20's glam to her.

Nebten Nox |

OK, for some reason, I thought my PC was not trained in Astrogate. It appears he is.
The question is though, what is better? 3 Greens vs 1 Yellow & 1 Green? I guess the Yellow is always nice since it has a 1/12 chance for a Triumph. But more dice could mean more Successes.
Another issue that I just thought about was assisting during PbP. Skilled Assistance appear allows the primary roller to upgrade his dice depending on what the assisting person has to offer.
So I guess with the Astrogate roll: Zeylud and Nebten dice pool would be YGG, right?
But that is hard to augment after somebody rolls.
Zeylud just rolled 3 green. I could upgrade one of those greens to a yellow, but if that roll doesn't go right, then the party is looking down at me for butting in after knowing the results. Or do we just want to do a blanket booster die whether trained or not so that we can keep the game running smoothly.
Thoughts?

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Hmm... I'm thinking that I don't want to nerf someone's chosen activity. Basically, if the other person has the same skill, you can use one person's Attribute and the other's Skill. Without the skill, they can only provide a Boost Die. In this case, while it may slow down some, I think our already leisurely pace will still allow for confirmation before assuming that their character is helping. A simple statement of 'I help X do Y' works just fine and then you can roll for the results. Other thoughts and ideas?

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Added an Equipment spoiler under campaign info, it contains all of your current equipment from all your characters. If anything needs changing, like the actual model of weapons for RP purposes, or anything like that, let me know. I will probably do a revised one later once I go through your sheets again.

Nebten Nox |

Thanx for doing that DM. I'm sure that will help out everybody in the future.

is there any check I can make to try to get more speed out of the hyperdrive?
Yes there is, if make an Hard (PPP) Astronavigation check, it will allow you to plot a faster course, but wary of the mistakes...
Isn't PPP a bit harsh? Typically a well known planet is an Easy check. Then with every Advantage there is a chance of reducing time. I'm assuming we are not rushed nor damaged.
p. 104 & 246 from EtoE CR

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Agreed, but he is attempting to reduce the time even further than the usual, over and above what your hyperdrive is capable of. I took the previous AstroNav roll into account for the time I gave.

Nebten Nox |

Sadly, this appears to be more of a roll-play group instead of a role-playing. I can't do all the heavy lifting by myself. Does anybody else want to inject some flavor to the campaign or shall we just have the DM pull us by the nose from place to place?

Zeylud |

You are asking for 5 strangers to just suddenly be completely ok with opening up to each other and conversing like long time friends? Zeylud is only really used to talking to patients and having to deal with the Matriarchy trying to bring him in purely for breeding and attempting to imprison him for said purposes.
Strangers...not really his sort of thing exactly. He will warm up over time but I would not say at the present he is a Roll playing character.

Nebten Nox |

OK, but everybody playing the dark, brooding, silent PC doesn't work in RPGs. Kidna defeats the point.
And I'm not asking for conversing like long time friends, I'm asking for adding flavor to the storyboards. There are many ways to do that besides not posting. Stagnation kills games.
We are going to have to suspend the paranoia a little bit. After all how many games have you been in where the party, that doesn't know each other, are sitting around a bar when a raven haired woman burst through the tavern door requesting help. Or you are at a festival and goblins attack. Or you are asked to map out unexplored lands with 4 other people you've never met.

Hey everyone! As mentioned when I started this, on Monday the 21st I will also be out of town and without my computer. I will have my phone and thus Wayfinder, but I won't promise anything. I will do my best to keep track though... I will be returning on 28th.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Everyone still here? Do you guys need to me to GM nudge you in the next direction?

Nebten Nox |

I'm going to resign from this campaign.
DM ShadowBloodmoon, thank you for your time and effort in crafting this game.
See you all around the boards.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

That is unfortunate to hear Nebten, I enjoyed your witty banter in game. See you around though!

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

So, it's been a week and no one else has posted.. My guess is that the story wasn't intriguing enough and the roleplaying fell through. I'd be happy to continue with the few of you remaining, elsewise, I will close this down.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Okay, then we will continue with who is left. So far the patron/ benefactor has asked you to kidnap him from his own party and gave you servants uniforms to help get you in. You have been discussing a plan to do so, though some of you have reservations about such a mission and considering the current Imperial presence, probably rightly so.

Zeylud |

Ah, forgive me. I'm used to others updating the posts a bit and kinda blanked out that I hadn't visited this one in a bit because it wasn't getting numbers after it. Yes, Zeylud is very apprehensive about this but if he can come up with a cocktail to "kill" the most populous lifeform in the galaxy so that he can smuggle him out then he would feel far better.
Hmm....Zeylud would move on to the medical station inside the complex and want to adjust the med droids to read him as dead not poisoned and then make a medical roll to try and make the cocktail.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

That's cool. Go ahead and post that in the game thread and we'll move on from there.

F. Castor |

Hmm... Should we perhaps call this?
I find I keep forgetting about this thread due to a lack of updates, much like Zeylud mentioned a few posts up. Although that does not mean no blame lies with me, as I do find myself with a considerable lack of inspiration concerning both my characters and his actions/options.
If we do decide to do so, I would very much like to thank the DM the other players for giving this a shot.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

I myself was wondering the same. I know that Tarkazza is just recently married and I know what a busy time that is, and I know I myself may have needed to push a little more as well as having more posts from the players. I do appreciate the work of those of you who stayed with me for as long as you did, but unless I hear otherwise, I will probably call it tomorrow. That said, I am hoping that with a new movie coming out in a week, interest in Star Wars will pique and more games will pop up for all of us.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

Okay guys. I am going to go ahead and close this down. As much as I want to continue it, others have mentioned that the slowness is too much and it keeps them from wanting to maintain interest. Thank you to all of you who stuck with us this long. I hope all of you find a new Star Wars game that you can sink your very imaginative minds into. See you all on the boards.
