Im sorry. Im going to bow out of the game. Im not one to play in a game where the DM doesnt read your posts, and further ignores you when you try to talk about it.
3 times I mentioned I was in the square next to the door. three times it was glossed over. and then when I bring it up directly, its ignored.
Have a good game you guys. Im out.

More narrative would be very much appreciated and help us stay invested.
You know, I have to second this. It's tough when 4 or 5 of us post something, and all we get in return is a single sentence. And it's every other day.
For instance, this:
The guard who seems suspicious (North west) yells out "What's the watch word?"
And then 2 days later, this:
The guard speaking yells "Answer or you'll have to deal with Blackerly"
And that's it. And it was another 2 days until you posted again.
I can tell you right now, because I've experienced this before, at this rate of posting, it'll be roughly around 3 years just to get past Book 1. Which, with 6 Books, well, we can all do the math on that. At this rate, I really don't see this game lasting that long.
And to compare, I'm in a game that's been going 4 years and we're 11th level. It's not a fast game, it's not a slow game. It's steady and it flows. The DM will post about 3 or 4 times a day/night. And if he doesn't post, he puts it in the discussion thread. "No post today." And he's done that several times over the years, yet, it's still a game that moves at a good, steady pace. It works well.
When it comes to pbp, that's the kind of game you want. Heck, I'd gather that's the kind of game the majority of folks wants.
I'm not saying post 20 times a day for anybody, I'm just saying there's a happy medium to it. You just gotta find it. And Kid's "more narrative" is the perfect term, which would definitely help a great deal.
It's almost like, if we don't move the game as players, then this game doesn't move. We, as players, can only do so much. And it's tough when the DM doesn't respond to the player when something is brought up, as in Dargon's case.
It also feels like no matter what we do as pc's, it doesn't really matter. It almost feels like we're in a linear video game. There is only one way to go, and until you go that way, you're just stuck.
And I'm being as sincere as one can with the written word. And I don't mean to sound like I'm attacking - that's totally not my intention - I'm just calling it the way *I* see it. I obviously can't speak for anyone else.
Anyway, if I've offended you and you feel I need to be removed from this game because of this, that is totally your prerogative. And I will respect that. No harm, no foul. But I felt like this needed to be said(as far as I'm concerned anyway). Because I don't believe this game will survive at the rate it's going. I could be wrong! And that would be great and good for you and your game. Again, this is simply my opinion and nothing more. Which is probably not really worth the 2 cents. Just put it back in your couch where you found it. ;)

And I will also say I am interested in Kid's question to you.
Honestly, FairyGM, how do you feel this is going so far?
That's a good question and inquiring minds would love to know. :P

My gosh, dude! Ugh. Sorry to hear that, bud. I think that might be a really good idea. Work on getting yourself better. Obviously, your health is FAR more important than this.
Well, now I feel utterly guilty. Ugh.
If this has been going on for some time, heck, I would've waited on starting up a game. It's tough to enjoy anything when you're dealing with health issues.
Get to feeling better, bud. First and foremost.

Ditto to what was said. My brother-in-law, age 50, is on his death bed with cancer. My twin brother died of COVID related issues. Many is the time that I wished the healing magic of this game was possible!
Take care of yourself GM.

I reached out and four of you replied and said you want to keep playing this game. A couple weeks ago I PM'd Fairy GM and made him the same offer. It would be a shame to give this game up so early, so I will step in and DM until either FairyGM returns or we complete the Prison Break, which I was able to download from Paizo for free. We'll see how it goes and make a decision then whether to invest in the remainder at least of Book 1.
Give me the weekend to get organized (Monday is also a holiday in USA) and next week we can plan to restart from where we left off. I recommend we start immediately after this post from Posh. Morthos has opened the door, both guards are coming toward him, and the remainder of the group is as of yet unseen by the guards.
Also, 5' squares throughout the prison complex. I'll have new versions of the maps and give everyone required access to update, and each player will be responsible for maintaining their position on the map. If you can't for whatever reason, but you describe your movement like, "Kid runs to flank with Dargon," then I can figure out where you need to be.
I'll just reiterate that this will always be FairyGM's game and he is welcome to return to the helm or tell us to shove off whenever he pleases.

Beginning to dabble in Roll20. Here's the game link: https://app.roll20.net/join/19665741/jodlWg
Appreciate all tips and suggestions.

My steps involve zooming way in, and using the "Align to Fit" function to get it close. Then with the map pressed up and left stretching it horizontally to get those lines lined up, and then vertically. You can do it diagonally, but many maps are not properly dimensioned diagonally.
Once you have the map correct, be sure and "lock" it.
In one game, I am using Dynamic Lighting, which is great to account for PCs that have different vision. In another, it's mostly humans, so I just uncover the map areas myself, assuming they have torches and have it be more old school. That is an AD&D 2.0 Birthright campaign anyways, so it IS old school in most aspects anyways.

Yeah resizing is tricky. I just count the squares on the map and in settings on the map page I put those numbers in. And save. Then click to change of pathfinder for measurement.
If the grids don't line up. I Disable grid and use the maps grid

HA! Megatron! Whoever that pic is... that's awesome. :)
If I knew how to do that, I'd have to find me some Optimus. I guess he doesn't really fit the whole "bad guy" vibe, though, does he?
Oooooo! Darth Vader! THAT'S who I'd get. Man, that'd fit Morthos perfectly. :)

Kid Vicious aka "The Falcon" |

That's me. I have the map basically ready. I'm sure there are things I'm missing, like how to associated tokens with users, but this gets us most of the way there for the immediate need.
Feel free to resume in Gameplay at the post referenced above where Posh claims ooc he "might have a plan." I will assume my alter ego as GM Therenger. Sometime this weekend I'll post to reestablish the vibe of the setting.
Kid will stick around until the end of the scene as an NPC. Feel free to boss him around as you have been.

Per Posh: Casts Summon Instrument
Now THAT is interesting. My question is: Does it work like that? Or does it just summon an instrument out of thin air? Like creatures.
Because I never thought of it working like that. Man, that's interesting.
After reading the Summoning link, I think that might just work. But I really don't know.
Pretty cool and tricksy, though. I like that plan if it works or not. Because it's clever regardless. :)

Javell DeLeon |

If it's still possible, I'd like for Morthos to take a 5' step 1 square directly north.
It was late and I really wasn't thinking clearly. That would've been the smarter move initially, that way, I could give the others a bit more space to work.

GM Therenger |

Can anyone quickly instruct me on enabling the tokens? Otherwise I'll look into it tonight.
