No power sucks. Been there, hated it. Wish you the best.

Also my thanks to our GM for allowing Sven to be a spontaneous caster (I found prepared casting to be too difficult regarding book keeping as many of my posts are done via phone). Will be making the change soon.

Is everyone ok with how that last fight played out? I just don't always feel that having our front line, rush into the guns, and reach for AOOs, of the giants, is the best plan, so having them come to us, seems nice, especially if our archer can persuade them.

Now, if they were hurling boulders or lightning at us, we'd have needed to close and engage.

Play it by ear. Sometimes closing the gap is needed, other times holding back is useful. It worked out well this time

Question for you DM and rules lawyers out there. The Flytrap has 4 mouths. Can it attempt to grapple Sven with all four of its mouths?

As a grapple attempt no it cannot as that is a standard action. If it has grab then yes it can as part of its attack with that mouth. The tricky part is if it wants to be able to avoid the grapple condition itself then it takes a -20 penalty to its grab check. This allows it to still be grappling Sven and continue its attacks on everyone else as well.

Per the d20pfsrd,
GRAB: If a creature with this special attack hits with the indicated attack (usually a claw or bite attack), it deals normal damage and attempts to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. Unless otherwise noted, grab can only be used against targets of a size equal to or smaller than the creature with this ability. If the creature can use grab on creatures of other sizes, it is noted in the creature’s Special Attacks line. The creature has the option to conduct the grapple normally, or simply use the part of its body it used in the grab to hold the opponent. If it chooses to do the latter, it takes a –20 penalty on its CMB check to make and maintain the grapple, but does not gain the grappled condition itself. A successful hold does not deal any extra damage unless the creature also has the constrict special attack. If the creature does not constrict, each successful grapple check it makes during successive rounds automatically deals the damage indicated for the attack that established the hold. Otherwise, it deals constriction damage as well (the amount is given in the creature’s descriptive text).

Creatures with the grab special attack receive a +4 bonus on combat maneuver checks made to start and maintain a grapple.

Was in an all dwarf campaign before for Giantslayer. A grappling plant caused a TPK.

That amulet looks really nice but not something that Kurag would be needing. Already have evasion, don't cast offensive spells to overcome SR, and have different arrows to overcome DR. Who can use it the best? Alos the Horn looks cool but as none of us are bards the save DC's are low and not likely to do anything. Need to keep it though as not able to sell a minor artifact like that.

Next level will be taking linguistics or we can spend the night and have Sven prepare comp languages in the morning?

Sven changed from being a prepared caster to spontaneous. Easier for PbP on a phone. No comprehend languages!

He can’t make much use of any of this. Ironically I am alright with having lucky wear the necklace. If it was giant-make then it would fit him best and it would be a great FU to the giants.

So, there I was, at Scout Camp. I get a text from another adult telling me that a third adult had tested Covid positive today. Yesterday I had spent more than an hour sitting around chatting with that very guy.

I do the right thing, report the exposure, and long story short, I am home from Scout Camp. There were tears, from my son, and some of the other Scouts, and maybe, just maybe, from me.

Hopefully a false alarm, and an abundance of caution, but I'm sleeping in the basement tonight, the wife is upstairs with the dog.

So this level really means having a few tools for very bad situations. Paralyzed front liner? Fixed. Enemy goes invisible? Let the front line deal with it. Someone gets hit with a negative level? Fix it. Nothing flashy, but they are tools which we shouldn't be without.

Trying to find anything that would keep Kiln up. Did prayer affect it and take the -1 to damage? That would be 6 hp less Kiln would have taken. Also if the first rock over 120ft away would have missed he would still be alive.

I know Kurag has nothing that can bring him back…Sven you have Blessing of Life or anything ?

Prayer is a 40’ diameter burst. Those cats weren’t inside that when it was cast.

Dying isn’t new in RPGs. Happens all the time!
