Thank you all for the great submissions! Gameplay thread is now open so post away!

Male Dwarf Rogue 2 (HP 19/22 AC:16 T:13 F:13 Saves F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 CMB:+2 CMD:15 Init:+3 Perc: +6 (+7 Traps) Stealth: +7)

Just FYI, I'm at a convention today and won't be able to post frequently until about 6 GMT -5. From then on I'm good to go!

Male Dwarf Rogue 2 (HP 19/22 AC:16 T:13 F:13 Saves F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 CMB:+2 CMD:15 Init:+3 Perc: +6 (+7 Traps) Stealth: +7)

Is Greta a Trunau native too? I assumed Kranzer would know her if she was.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

Do you mean Agrit? If so, rumor is that she came from Janderhoff. Why she picked Trunau to settle in, no one knows.

Male Dwarf Rogue 2 (HP 19/22 AC:16 T:13 F:13 Saves F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 CMB:+2 CMD:15 Init:+3 Perc: +6 (+7 Traps) Stealth: +7)

Hmm, no I thought Greta Bolkasdottir had the Trunau native trait too.

Female Dwarf Cleric 6; HP 51/51; AC 22, T 10, FF 22; F+6, R+2, W+8; CMB+6; CMD 16; Init +0, Perc +3; SM +7

Greta does. She's lived in Trunau much of her life. It's probably that she would know Kranzer, being so few dwarves in town.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

My mistake. I forgot that Greta also lived in town and is not there-yet. So yes, Kranzer and Greta would know each other and you both would know Agrit, by the way, here do Kranzer and Greta live in town. Do you have private residences or do you both stay at the Ramblehouse?

Male Dwarf Rogue 2 (HP 19/22 AC:16 T:13 F:13 Saves F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 CMB:+2 CMD:15 Init:+3 Perc: +6 (+7 Traps) Stealth: +7)

Ok, no problem. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything I was missing. Storms bad here in Texas. Will have my post up in the morning.

Female Dwarf Cleric 6; HP 51/51; AC 22, T 10, FF 22; F+6, R+2, W+8; CMB+6; CMD 16; Init +0, Perc +3; SM +7

Greta would probably stay at the Ramblehouse, to be honest.

Male Dwarf Rogue 2 (HP 19/22 AC:16 T:13 F:13 Saves F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 CMB:+2 CMD:15 Init:+3 Perc: +6 (+7 Traps) Stealth: +7)

Yes, sorry I didn't answer this before, but Ramblehouse for Kranzer.

Male Dwarf Rogue 2 (HP 19/22 AC:16 T:13 F:13 Saves F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 CMB:+2 CMD:15 Init:+3 Perc: +6 (+7 Traps) Stealth: +7)

Sorry, had some big storms here in Texas, knocking stuff out. Kranzer is good to go to the ceremony. Will post soon.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

Hi All, Did you all want to allow Hero Points? I would grant a hero point when you all level up, maximum hero points will always be 3 at any given time.

What the majority decides, wins.

Female Dwarf Cleric 6; HP 51/51; AC 22, T 10, FF 22; F+6, R+2, W+8; CMB+6; CMD 16; Init +0, Perc +3; SM +7

Never used them before, so I would be curious to see how they play in action.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

As player, I like them especially the 'Cheat Death' one since it allows you to 'keep alive' a charachter you enjoy playing in spite of rolling some bad attack/save rolls.

It also helps in dire situations.

The drawback as a DM is that some players might metagame them i.e. This is the BBEG and once we defeat him we will gain a level and a hero point, so I am going to use one up.

HERE are the basic Hero Point uses.

In my home game, it is mostly used for 1) cheat death, 2) extra action (ie the sorcerer gets to cast a second spell).

If not "overused" they can be a good thing, so I would say go for it.

Male Dwarf Wizard (Earth Elementalist) 2 (HP 16/16; AC:16 T:16 FF:14; Saves F:+1/+3 vs poison/+5 vs spells R:+2/+6 vs spells W:+4/+8 vs spells; CMB:+2 CMD:14 (see profile page for modifiers); Init:+2; Perc:+3; Spellcraft:+8){Effects: Mage Armor}

I'm up for using them as well.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 6 (HP 78/90(+15) | DR 3/- | AC:19 T:11 F:19 | Saves F:+9 R:+5 W:+4 | CMB:+10 CMD:21 | Init:+1 | Perc: +10 Intimidate: +8 | Rage 20/20 rounds | Conditions: Bull's Str

I'm OK with hero points - I've used a variation of them in PF games before (used the ones from the 3.5 rules). And I wouldn't worry too much about metagaming them when fighting a BBEG. Ideally, that's when they are best used - from a narrative flow perspective. The game Mutants and Masterminds incorporates that idea nicely with its version of hero points because you tend to gain them most by suffering the setbacks that occur in the earlier scenes of the story.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

In case anyone is curious:

How the Tug-Of War worked per the AP:
The one with the highest initiative for Team Ruby (In this case Gnok), rolls against Team Militia's Initiative (+2). The victor gets a +2 to the team's Strength check (Ruby Stregnth is at -1) The victor of the check moves the opposing team five-feet closer to the line. If the victor's margin is greater than five, then the opposing team is pulled another five feet to the line.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

Sounds like we have a majority! Hero Points it is! You all start off with the max of 3.

Male Dwarf Wizard (Earth Elementalist) 2 (HP 16/16; AC:16 T:16 FF:14; Saves F:+1/+3 vs poison/+5 vs spells R:+2/+6 vs spells W:+4/+8 vs spells; CMB:+2 CMD:14 (see profile page for modifiers); Init:+2; Perc:+3; Spellcraft:+8){Effects: Mage Armor}
Chief Defender Halgra wrote:
If the orcs come, and there is no other option, this is where you cut—here, here, and here. Halgra demonstrates which arteries to sever while Ruby watches.

So which arteries are all Trunauans shown to cut with their hopeknives? I would assume it would be arteries that would cause them to bleed out quickly, like the carotid arteries in the neck, the brachial arteries in the upper arms, and the femoral arteries in the thighs.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

You are correct. It would be the arteries that would cause one to bleed out quickly and the wrists would not be one of them.

NARRATOR GS Map / SS MAP/

Out of curiosity, I know Greta worships Bolka. Who do the rest of you worship (or not worship)?

Male Dwarf Wizard (Earth Elementalist) 2 (HP 16/16; AC:16 T:16 FF:14; Saves F:+1/+3 vs poison/+5 vs spells R:+2/+6 vs spells W:+4/+8 vs spells; CMB:+2 CMD:14 (see profile page for modifiers); Init:+2; Perc:+3; Spellcraft:+8){Effects: Mage Armor}

Dorks honors all of the gods of the dwarven pantheon, but primarily worships Torag.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 6 (HP 78/90(+15) | DR 3/- | AC:19 T:11 F:19 | Saves F:+9 R:+5 W:+4 | CMB:+10 CMD:21 | Init:+1 | Perc: +10 Intimidate: +8 | Rage 20/20 rounds | Conditions: Bull's Str

Bormann has no special relationship with any single dwarven deity, though he reveres Trudd a bit more than most of the others and swears oaths of vengeance to Dranngvit.

Gnok is more concerned about living creatures, the depths of the earth and nature itself, however if pushed he is partial to Torag.

Male Dwarf Wizard (Earth Elementalist) 2 (HP 16/16; AC:16 T:16 FF:14; Saves F:+1/+3 vs poison/+5 vs spells R:+2/+6 vs spells W:+4/+8 vs spells; CMB:+2 CMD:14 (see profile page for modifiers); Init:+2; Perc:+3; Spellcraft:+8){Effects: Mage Armor}

Krabzer doesn't worship any god, but in times when dire luck is needed to get him out of a bind, he finds himself praying to Cayden Cailean.

Today, at 5:30pm or so, when my wife and I go to our Thursday night dinner restaurant, we are picking up our almost 3 year old grand daughter there and will return her to my daughter and son-in-law on Sunday afternoon. She will be staying with us at the campground. Since both my wife and I are in our mid to late 60s, when we put her to bed around 8:00pm, we will probably have a quick glass of wine or a beer and go to bed ourselves !

At her age, she is a dynamo of energy. So if I don't do updates till Monday, that is the reason, sheer exhaustion. I think that I will be able to, but I am just not sure....

Grand daughter returned to parents. Wife and I are going out to dinner, then home and bed. I will have a post tomorrow morning.....

Happy Birthday USA.

Wife and I have lawn tickets and are going to Tanglewood to see a James Taylor concert. It is supposed to stop raining by 6pm so we will only get a little soaked before the concert and fireworks afterwards. Won't get back to the camper till after midnight, so no more posting for me today.

DM,

I have been "advancing" Gnok and Jocosa to see where he was heading, and have discovered that I made an error in my 1st level feat selection.

With your permission, I would like to "swap" out Spell Focus (Conjuration) and take Endurance instead.

I can take Endurance at 3rd level, and the character will still be ok, but I have a "wasted" feat with Spell Focus (Conjuration) because I probably would not take the Augmented Summoning companion to it.

Thank you for your consideration, regardless of how you rule.

Gnok

Who will be keeping track of party treasure? Also, for ease, I am going with all potions of a particular type all have the same color, smell, taste etc. So all you would need to do is identify a potion once then in the future, that same potion will be automatic.

Male Dwarf Wizard (Earth Elementalist) 2 (HP 16/16; AC:16 T:16 FF:14; Saves F:+1/+3 vs poison/+5 vs spells R:+2/+6 vs spells W:+4/+8 vs spells; CMB:+2 CMD:14 (see profile page for modifiers); Init:+2; Perc:+3; Spellcraft:+8){Effects: Mage Armor}

I've got the party treasure logged within a spoiler at the bottom of my character profile page.

Thanks Drosk!

Here are the Spellcraft checks on the unidentified items:

Flask 1 Spellcraft DC 16:
Oil of Magic Weapon

Flask 2 Spellcraft DC 16:
Potion of Shield of Faith

2 Scrolls Spellcraft DC 17:
Scrolls of Knock

1 Scroll Spellcraft DC 17:
Scroll of Summon Swarm

Scroll case is worth 5GP

Drosk managed to Identify the following magic items:

Potion of Shield of Faith (in iron flask);
Potion of Invisibility; and
Scroll of Barkskin.

Recommend Gnok take the Scroll of Barkskin, Kranzer take the Potion of Invisibility, and the Potion of Shield of Faith go to either Bormann, Kranzer, or Drosk.

Greta, do you want to take a crack at identifying the unknown vials of water with religious markings?

NOPE.

Before heading down the stairs, please level up! You will not have access to anything that you would gain with rest (including spells) but you would have access to everything else. Kranzer and Jocosa are still wounded until healed so adjust your HP totals accordingly. Please update your profile and summarize your changes here in the discussion thread. Happy Monday!
