Hey guys, and RichD in particular... In the interest of saving time for pbp would it be ok if future exploration the GM does a stealth check and perception check if Kurag is going to be 20 ft ahead scouting? I just don't want a day spent of Kurag moves up and scouts, Kurag sees something, Kurag comes back to the group. If we can skip that time consuming part I am good with RichD rolling for me. It might mean we enter combats a bit quicker on a failed stealth check but hopefully if I keep stealth maxed and increase dex then we won't run into that scenario too often.

At saddle is really awesome but way expensive. Thinking that Kurag will use it for the time being but then sell it so we can all get some more money.

That +5 to ride checks and a maxed out ride skill would keep Lucky around a lot longer with the mounted combat feat.

I think you're the best suited, Kurag. This will help your ranged attacks immensely.

As a secondary I could take it to help my AC, or maybe Greta could use it. I assume the frontliners are waiting for the belt of giant's strength.

I wasn't going to claim it as I already have a heavy load belt and the horse master's saddle is ungodly.

If someone wants the heavy load belt I will gladly take the belt of dex but feel bad for getting 2 really nice items already.

I have two games that I need replacement players for (Kurag is currently playing in both). These probably won't kick until full swing until the beginning of the year, but if anyone is interested:

Council of Thieves. Just finished book 2 and getting ready to start book 3. We have a fighter, so looking for a healer, mage, skill monkey and another fighter-type.

Serpent's Skull This campaign hasn't started yet. I already have a witch and a rogue, need two fighter types and a healer.

Basic character creation guidelines:

- 20 point character buy. All scores 10 or greater after racial adjustments.
- Pathfinder Core Rule Book & Advanced Player’s Guide only.
- Two traits.
- Maximum gold for 1st level, maximum hit points all levels.
- Alignment. LG, NG preferred. CG, LN, TN acceptable. NO CN or evil.

(Now having played with you all, if there is something you want to do, outside the above, run it by me.

For Council of Thieves, I have an NG level 7 duettist bard. I made him to join a different AP that ended before its first combat. What level are you looking for (it looks like 4 or 5?) I can rebuild/adjust him to join.

I'm thinking about a NG Fighter 1/Bard 7/Eldritch Knight X or maybe a TN Gnomish Shaman.

Tell me which one sounds the best for you.

@BB: All sound good. The only one I have is Kurag's character (Tal)who is a tank - High AC & lots of HP (Fighter 3/Ranger 1). So currently the field is wide open. If you want your bard to fill the skill monkey role - that would work or the shaman for the mage role, or your fighter/bard to support the tank. You will be starting at 5th level.

I've run CoT for a home game, so I'm not going to put forward an idea for that one.

But I have an idea for the SS game - a big game hunter coming on board the ship in Bloodcove. Originally from Cheliax, possibly even having done some work for the Aspis Consortium. Neutral and a bit mercenary in outlook - trying to find a bit of wealth and the best trophies of the most exotic creatures. Has ambitions to lead hunting expeditions for people with too much money on their hands (and willing to pay an expert).
Probably looking at a ranger with the archery fighting style - since that fits the needs of a hunter well.

Since I got Hero Lab, I decided to Audit BB before I level up:

I should have max 26 HP, not 27. (I added a Favored Class Bonus to my level of Monk)
I have only spent 20 skill points - I should have 22 spent.

Spellcraft +1 (now +9)
Climb +1 (now +6)

I can't have 2 campaign traits, so I'll drop Vexing Defender. This lowers my Acrobatics bonus to +6 total.
I will take the Helpful trait instead.

I can't take Elven as a starting language, so I'll take Undercommon instead. With the Linguistics skill, I'll drop Sylvan for Elven.

The readied action still goes off on the attack. The flyby attack just prevents someone from taking an aoo against them. At least that is how I have always seen it played out.

That would be my assumption as well. Readying attacks tends to trump feats that avoid AoO or that allow movement to be segmented.

But I don't think flyby attack even avoids an AoO - the invisibility of the monsters does that. I think flyby just allows them to be out of reach both before and after the attack, assuming they have sufficient movement.

@Bormann: Correct. Unlike Spring Attack, Fly By Attack does provoke AoOs (since it lacks the phrasing that it 'doesn't provoke AoOs').

As a DM you always think you have an idea of how players will do something or how you would do it if you were playing. I would have tied a rope around Bormann or Sergei and sent them into the chamber. If they make their save, they don't have to worry about it again for that particular plant and if they failed, the others would pull him out with the rope, wake him up and send him back in again!

I chose the beetle because BB likes Beetles. Then, I realized it was a vermin and thus immune to spells.

Oh well, it was nice to use K. Nature for once, haha!

Hi all,

I was Gnok (druid) when this campaign started, and with notice, dropped all the games that I was playing in back in, and half of the games I was DMing November 2015.

DM Rich is a player in one of my campaigns, and asked me if I was ready to play again, as Sergei had essentially left, and I agreed that it was time to get back into playing, so I present Rask Hammersong, Weapons crafter, Fighter -> Paladin who is on a mission.

I am still working out the details, but have enough done that I can jump in any time that is convenient for the group.
