Shadowlina: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Adolina seems to almost walk through the fireball - one moment she's there, then the spell erupts in light and when it fades she's still there, completely untouched.

Shadowlina withdraws into the wall, unwilling to face any more damage as Adolina leaps forward, her reflexes even faster than normal thanks to Cadas. BoF for +2 AC and Ref until I say otherwise.

Spring Attack: 1d20 + 16 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 16 + 2 - 1 = 24 Damage: 1d8 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

She ducks under the giant's leg, slicing as she goes, and races out the other side.

"You going to run away again Lucretia? Or will you actually be more of a challenge than your sister?" Challenge the Lamia.

AC is 25 against the two giants. 29 vs. Lucretia

Inspire Courage is also in effect!

Robin moves up next to Cadas to stay within her protective magics, focusing intently on the giant with a giant stone in his hand. "I expected giants to have big balls, but that is ridiculous!" He grins and adds a few gestures, hoping his humor will take hold.

Move using Blessing of Fervor. Cast Hideous Laughter on giant bodyguard, Will DC 18.

Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Cadas avoids most of the fire damage, but now seeing how this fight will likely do decides to divide things up in hopes of taking one enemy at a time. She casts Wall of stone just to the east of Adolina, hopefully blocking the group from sight from all but the closer giant. she adopts the +2 to hit and AC from her deities blessing and advances.

The wall will be 10-12' high and 20-25 feet wide, following that contour line on the map.

Wall of Stone:

Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (a small block of granite)

EFFECT

Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Effect stone wall whose area is up to one 5-ft. square/level (S)
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw see text; Spell Resistance no

DESCRIPTION

This spell creates a wall of rock that merges into adjoining rock surfaces. A wall of stone is 1 inch thick per four caster levels and composed of up to one 5-foot square per level. You can double the wall’s area by halving its thickness. The wall cannot be conjured so that it occupies the same space as a creature or another object.

Unlike a wall of iron, you can create a wall of stone in almost any shape you desire. The wall created need not be vertical, nor rest upon any firm foundation; however, it must merge with and be solidly supported by existing stone. It can be used to bridge a chasm, for instance, or as a ramp. For this use, if the span is more than 20 feet, the wall must be arched and buttressed. This requirement reduces the spell’s area by half. The wall can be crudely shaped to allow crenelations, battlements, and so forth by likewise reducing the area.

Like any other stone wall, this one can be destroyed by a disintegrate spell or by normal means such as breaking and chipping. Each 5-foot square of the wall has hardness 8 and 15 hit points per inch of thickness. A section of wall whose hit points drop to 0 is breached. If a creature tries to break through the wall with a single attack, the DC for the Strength check is 20 + 2 per inch of thickness.

It is possible, but difficult, to trap mobile opponents within or under a wall of stone, provided the wall is shaped so it can hold the creatures. Creatures can avoid entrapment with successful Reflex saves.

Throne of Ancient Kings - Round 2 - concluded

25 Barl Breakbones
20 Robin
16 Stone Giant Bodyguard (stone in hand)
13 Marcellano
10 Cadas
9 Adolina
6 Lucrecia

With a wisecrack and some tricky spellcasting, Robin tries to spin a yarn for the giant bodyguard before he can smash things with his over-sized boulder. But the giant is used to tricky spells and does not fall for Robin's joke.

Instead the big warrior tosses the rock, trying to crush Cadas. Fortunately, both the big rocks miss the Shoanti priestess.

Marcellano fires a series of magic missiles at the nearest Stone Giant hitting him 3 times for limited damage.

Cadas casts a spell that creates a wall across the mouth of the king's hall, separating the giant guard from the enemy casters.

Adolina springs into action, leaping forward and attacking the giant, and cutting a slice from the parts she can reach while bounding away unharmed.

Lucrecia casts a spell from behind the stone wall, and in a split instant, she appears on the other side, along with the giant lord, Barl Breakbones.

End of Round 2

Giant DC 18 Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Giant, Rock throw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Giant rock throw2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
MM dmg to stone giant: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8

Throne of Ancient Kings - Round 3

25 Barl Breakbones
20 Robin
16 Stone Giant Bodyguard (27hp dmg)
13 Marcellano
10 Cadas (12hp dmg)
9 Adolina
6 Lucrecia

Robin is up again in Round 3. Question, did Cadas get healed from the last fight? I have her at 65/94 hp after the fireball. I also have Shadowlina at 29/49 after taking half of half of the fireball.

Either way Shadowlina is retreating out of the fight. She's too weak now.

As the bad guys teleport through the wall to their side, Robin flees to Cadas's side. He tries another line on the giant. "Oh look, mommy and daddy came because they were worried about you!"

Hideous Laughter again. Will DC 18.

I had Cadas at full - I think she channeled enough to bring her up. Was certainly my intent to be full. And so much for divide and conquer. :(

I will assume she channeled full then so the only damage is from the fireball which was 12 when halved.

Throne of Ancient Kings - Round 3 - continued

Robin tries his comedy magic on the rock-throwing giant once again. This time the brute gets the punchline and falls over himself in gales of laughter.

Not really wanting to laugh, the giant struggles to regain control but the magical compulsion is just too strong and it cannot help himself, as he guffaws louder than ever.

He failed is one re-try, so it out for 10 rounds. Rest of the party is up now. Taking suggestions for Marcellano if you have any requests.

Maybe Marcellano should cast Blink? He looks really exposed in his current position.

How about a 20+'high wall of force splitting off Barl Breakbones? Yes, I recommend that. Then a defensive move, maybe back.

Cadas casts Righteous Might and closes on the laughing giant.

Cadas's plan sounds good to me.

Adolina races back up the corridor, ignoring the laughing giant in favor of closing with the one that is actually dangerous - the lamia!

Double Move to new position, glaive out for potential AOOs :)
