Marcellano's frowning even more fiercely now, and he casts another series of magic missiles at the ogre who's doing anything other than rolling on the cold ground.

Magic Missile: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 1, 2) + 5 = 12

Are you SERIOUS, die roller?!

Robin(bot) continues to inspire greatness for the group. Adolina swings twice at the standing ogre, wounding it more, as Shadowlina stays away from the combat. Marcellano casts a magic missile, which barely damages the creature, however Cadas finishes it off.

The remaining ogre, while still on the ground laughing keeps trying to stand, but continues with its gales of laughter and falls back down.

While the giant is still laughing, Cadas and Adolina beat it to death while it is unable to fight back.

Whoops, my bad on not posting--probably would've just taunted the now-dead ogre anyway.

"I think you have this, that last ogre will be laughing for some time yet!" Robin ends his Bardic Performance.
Ogre is prone and laughing for 7 more rounds, so pretty much screwed.

Robin starts healing Cadas.

Hold for a moment Robin. Cadas asks. Both Adolina and I are wounded. Let me channel once first and see how we stand. She pauses to put on the phylactery of positive channeling and channels once.

The only way I can do that is to use up my daily channels. Its not efficient to use a channel to only heal one creature and my negative channels are only about half as useful as my positive ones. I think I can spare one channel for the creature. Ideally you need to get a wand of cause light wounds. My channels will do 4d6 for an average of 14

Channel negative away from everyone else: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 1) = 17 At least it was a good channel. :)

"You always were the charmer, Marcy--those ogres won't be able to resist you!" Robin grins, clearly teasing the wizard.

Might be tricky to find an ogre alone, but if we actually can execute Marcellano's plan, Robin can probably demoralize and sicken the ogre to lower its saves.

Sorry for being absent. Between the Saturday site maintenance and a couple of really bad days at my part time retirement job, it has been rough.

DM rolls:

When Robin pulls out a his healing wand, Cadas stops him and uses her channel ability to heal herself and Adolina, then Shadowlina.

Hoping to catch one of the ogres alone, Adolina stealthily travels down the tunnel into the lair.

(D2) At the mouth of darkness, jagged spurs of bone protrude from the stone on either side of the cave entrance, each towering twenty feet in height, apparently the ribs of some monstrous behemoth.

(D3) An enormous statue stands here in frozen vigil, a forty foot tall giant with black skin covered by fissures and cracks, like the bed of a dried river. He wears majestic armor, gilded and encrusted with gems, and grips a towering glaive in his armored fists. The giant’s face is hidden by a ferocious full helm forged into the sneering grimace of a fanged devil. Around the giant’s neck hangs a medallion; a seven pointed star.

(D4) A deep pit hewn from hard stone here descends into soot and darkness. The stale reek of decay wafts up from the depths below.

As Adolina continues further into the tunnel, she hears the grunts and groans of ogres, perhaps two or three, just in the next section.(D5)

You can come back to D2/D3/D4 later. I am "assuming" right now you are in search out enemy mode rather then checking everything out.

She then hares backwards, hoping that the ogres will be following her.

If they do.

She taunts them a second time from in front of the huge statue.

"I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper!...... I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"

With that she heads further down the tunnel, ducking into the space between the giant bones and watching in pleasure as the ogres run into her companions trap!

The giant sees Cadas and Marcellano, but goes after the armored foe, while the remaining ogre trails the other two and stands bewildered for a moment.

It would take a standard action and then a round of study to know if they have mgic weapons. They seem to be upon us.

Now it's my turn to apologize for my absence!! Catching up now.

Seeing an opportunity, Marcellano hustles in a wide arc around the confused brutes, staying well clear of the giant's reach. His hands dip into one of the scroll tubes on his belt and emerge holding a parchment covered in fine blue runes. Unrolling it, Marcellano reads a single syllable that echoes through the chamber, and a massive bolt of lightning springs from his hands and blasts both of the ogres!

Drawing a scroll as I move and then using a swift action to boost my CL 9 scroll of lightning bolt to CL 10. Firing the bolt due south, so it hits both ogres (and, incidentally, the statue behind them).

Lightning Bolt: 10d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 2, 3, 2, 5, 3, 5, 5) = 38 electricity damage. DC 18 Reflex save for half damage.

As the three creatures get close you all begin throwing spells and swords at them. Robin takes a step back and using his wit, inspires you to greater heights of lethalness, while forcing the closest ogre to fall to the ground laughing. Adolina jumps out, ducks past the standing ogre and wounds the giant, while Shadowlina stays still waiting on her mistress command. Marcellano moves out of the way and using a scroll casts a lightning bolt at the two ogres, however they both shrug off much of the damage. Cadas sprouts brambles on his armor and casts a spell, catching the three of them, damaging them all, and both ogres seem to be blind, while the giant appears to have shaken it off.

The blinded ogre steps up and swings at Robin wildly, but by sheer pure luck manages to hit the halfling twice. The giant meanwhile takes a step and keeping away from Cadas brambles, swings twice and hits solidly with the first swing.

@David--Yeah, I just added Persistent Metamagic to Hideous Laughter to make it better than ever! It still works the same, so the ogre gets an additional save next round, but would need to roll twice on that save too.

Real post to come, getting sidetracked at the moment.

Oh crap, I did cheat though. I can't use metamagic without making it a full round action. So Inspire Courage couldn't have happened. Not sure if you need to retcon some damage. I will definitely activate it this round so folks can assume they will benefit going forward.

"Get out of there, Robin!" Marcellano calls. Taking a quick step back from the ogres, he makes an arcane gesture and sketches a rune into the air. Another lightning bolt materializes!

Since they're staying lined up...what are the odds they'll make those saves twice? This should hit both ogres again.

Lightning Bolt: 10d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 3, 4, 5, 2, 6, 5, 6) = 36 DC 18 Reflex for half damage; I believe the blinded ogre takes a penalty.

But his magical spell fails!

Robin takes a step back while keeping up the encouragement and tries to cast a spell, however he loses his concentration and the spell fails. Adolina(bot), quickly moves into the giant, swings, unfortunately misses, and moves back out to protect against the creatures leaving the area. Shadowlina(bot) continues to stay in place. Marcellano casts another lightning bolt at the two ogres, who seem stupid enough to not have moved. The laughing ogre takes full damage, however the one still up manages to dodge half of it. Cadas enlarges herself and attacks the giant twice, hitting it both times.

The laughing ogre, stops laughing and stands, looking over at Robin, "you not funny, me hurt you." and he moves into position so he can smack the halfling next time. The other ogre, moves up to be near Marcellano and swings at him and misses, while the giant continues to swing at Cadas, hitting him only once.

Robin tries again to defensively cast a spell on himself, and this time holds his concentration longer in the face of the brute swinging at him, and now there are four additional images of himself. Adolina, darts in, strikes the giant again, and darts back to safety, while Shadowlina touches the ogre swinging at Robin, and draws away some of it's strength. Marcellano, steps back, fires his wand and reduces the strength of the other ogre. He then, using his school power, instantly disappears and reappears away from the creature. Cadas meanwhile, strikes the giant with her trident twice, the second strike killing it.

The giant that was next to Marcellano looks around in confusion as his prey seemingly disappears, turns around and sees the closest to him is Cadas, so he lumbers over near the cleric, ready to smash him. The ogre seeing multiple Robin swings twice, the first time dispelling an image, the second time, while it guessed correctly, missed the real one.

5-foot Step, Spending a Bardic Performance round to use Cutting Remarks (from Wit bard).

Nonlethal Damage: 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 and ogre is sickened while within 30 feet of Robin

Cuttting Words:
At 3rd level, a wit can wound with his words. The wit can spend 1 round of bardic performance as a standard action to deal 1d4 points of nonlethal damage + the wit’s bard level to a creature within 30 feet. Damage Reduction applies to this damage.

At 8th level, a target who takes damage from cutting remark is also sickened for as long as it remains within 30 feet of the wit and for 1 round thereafter. Additionally, the nonlethal damage counts as magic for purposes such as overcoming damage reduction.
