Ganking a Smiler Round 5
Init: Razorend, Urgeon, Smilers, Ridic, Kovax, Ogres
Razorend charges the smiler and slashes him across the arm in a leap. The Smiler drops his pistol and draws a shiv to slash at the stalker, ineffectually.
On the other side of the battle field, Urgeon blasts another Smiler unconscious and blinds and stuns the ogre making it unable to act and dropping its club.
Kovax steps and fires at the entangled ogre burning it. The creature subsequently finally breaks free with a roar and rushes out of the entangled area before swinging at Kovax knocking the barbarian stumbling. (Draws an AoO0
I changed targets for Kovax once the top Ogre was stunned. If you still want to attack him, let me know and I'll retcon the round slightly

Good call on switching targets

Ganking a Smiler Round 6
Init: Razorend, Urgeon, Smilers, Ridic, Kovax, Ogres
Razorend cuts down the last Smiler while Kovax shreds the recently escaped ogre, who falls like a cut tree.
The remaining ogre is easily felled by your combined blows, stunned and blinded as it is.
You survey and find you have 2 unconscious and unharmed Smilers left.
Some scattered clapping and restrained cheering comes across from some distant onlookers who quickly melt back into the scrap.
END COMBAT! You each receive 1,000xp for the encounter and your Scrapworth increases by 1
Urgeon Porpentine |
Urgeon will put his shackles on one of the smilers and will then help drag them to the shadows. "Let's find somewhere secure to interrogate them."
I've lost track - do we have somewhere to use as a base of operations in the city?

Kovax will grab the stinkbomb he pulled off of Marrow, prime it and throw it to the back of the room at the furthest smiler straight back from him, near the round blue thing in the room. Should put the 20' radius right to the door but not affect us

Chock full o' Smilers Round 1
Init: Urgeon, Gunshy, Lobotomites, Smilers, Kovax, Razorend, Ridic
Urgeon drops grease in the entrapment area, but the drooling morons are surprisingly nimble and keep their feet. (Urgeon can retcon a move action and the elemental gets to go (1 round down already) They also respond quickly and take a couple of clumsy, easily avoided swings at the forward party members with their twisted clubs of scrapmetal.
The Smilers in the rear fire their guns in a volley at the defenders as well, the bullets richocheting off walls and going wide, but one sneaks through and catches Kovax in the shoulder.
The ogrekin cringes as the weapons go off, and turns to snarl at the Smilers behind him waving his massive club threateningly.
Kovax chucks his gas grenade. (Strike it from the loot list, please) and it lands perfectly where he wanted it to, green gas shooting in all directions causing the adversaries beyond the first 2 to become misty black shadows. Razorend's opponent begins to vomit right in front of him and tries to raise his weapon, but continues to vomit. The man doesn't seem distraught, but his body is betraying him. More vomiting can be heard back behind the front two and a roar of rage from the ogrekin. "Kill dem, weakmen!"

I could have sworn you said the ogrekin was an ogre king....i was super worried about it. Ogrekin seems way less scary

Round 1 finished
Razorend slashes twice at the lumbering thug and strikes both times at the unarmored man. The blade encounters some slight resistance as it cuts through what appears to be surgically altered flesh and the man is still standing though grievously wounded.
If I can get Urgeon's round 2 action, I'll reset initiative so you guys all go after I post their actions
Kovax Exner |
I am confused on initiative, I thought our first actions, wand, grenade, etc was a surprise round, what round are we actually in now and do they all go before us? I rolled fairly well I thought
-Posted with Wayfinder
DMFflash |
It was round 1, no surprise. They knew you were there.
Rolls are still on Roll20 if you want to look at them afain. They all rolled a 23, if you recall. Urgeon went first based on Init modifier.
Initiative order is posted. Round 1 just finished as per my previous post
Technically, I did make a mistake and one of the two guys up front should've not attacked and instead spent his action finishing opening the door. But since he didn't hit anyone, no harm no foul

For the sake of the game we will assume he does so. Never got an action from Ridic either
Razorend shreds the northern Smiler and Urgeon finishes him off with a shot from the wand. Ridic does something.
Urgeon's elemental explodes out of the wall knocking the vomiting Smiler, unable to defend itself, back over its companion.
Chock full o' Smilers Round 2 Init reset
Init: Gunshy, Lobotomites, Smilers, Kovax, Razorend, Ridic, Urgeon
From the depths of the cloud, you hear vomiting and some clattering of footsteps as it appears some of those in the rear try to flee. The drooling ones continue to advance in view of the elemental and attack, one vomiting on himself like a baby spitting up, unable to lift his club but otherwise showing no sign of visible discomfort. The one to its south takes a feeble swing at the elemental.

Chock full o' Smilers Round 3
Init: Kovax, Razorend, Ridic, Urgeon, Gunshy, Lobotomites, Smilers
Kovax slashes the SMiler to the north viciously and Razorend finishes him off. (How many rounds of rage does Kovax have left considering this is your 3rd fight today?)
Ridic (after I gave him grief) finds he doesn't have a target and readies for approach.
Urgeon's elemental slips on the grease tumbling to the ground and lashes out poorly at the nearby Smiler. Urgeon himself hold his wand action, given he can't see beyond the elemental, but he and Ridic don't have to wait long as one of the lumbering fools moves up. One attacks the prone elemental but smashes his club into the floor.

Ridic Slaranack |
We need some level of consistency here. The action I posted was actually for round 1(figured you would retcon), since you had posted the rd1 on Sunday and moved it along on Monday. Some rounds take forever, so I lost a round of action because I didn't post in 24 hours? That is fine, if that is the rule, but that has by no means ever been the case. Doing that can make a huge difference in a fight....like fighting 50 Smilers and losing one of our attacks, that could be devastating.
Urgeon Porpentine |
The elemental will again attack the same smiler.

Urgeon will magic missile the same smiler if he still stands - if not he will strike the one next to him.
MM: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4) + 2 = 9
Urgeon Porpentine |
You or Razorend would have to move out of the way. May not be worth it for only three attackers.
