How low are you, not sure how many charges you want me to use
Ridic will also use a charge on himself

Aftermath of the Rescue of Khonnir Bhaine
Having gotten everyone together back at the temple, the party watches as Val tearfully reunites with her father and Dolga watches on with appreciation clapping each of you on the back and shaking your hands vigorously.
The Priest's Assessment
Joram spends some time inspecting the once lost councilman and says some comforting words to Khonnir about his status. He then comes toward you, the dark cloud on his face directly contradicting his just spoken niceties.
He pulls you aside and speaks in a low voice, [smaller]"Look, I can keep at healing his legs and restoring the rest of his mental faculties, but something beyond my knowledge is working against me. I will attempt to remove the disease tomorrow, but I've seen this work before. It is not natural, and my faith magic is a roll of the dice. If it doesn't work, I suggest you entreat with Sanvill Trett before he leaves again and see if he has any advanced technology that will knock this out."
He runs his hand through his hair, "But for now, I think he'd be better served in his own bed. Perhaps one or more of you should stay at the Foundry Tavern to ensure he's OK throughout the night. Val may be ... emotionally compromised if he reverts to his former state."
The Councilwoman's request
As the fervor dies down, Dolga follows up with you, "I don't suppose you found any indication of the rest of the other two expeditions. You brought back Parda's body, but did you see sign of the rest of her band or the quartet of Brigh priests? Khonnir mentioned that the others of his party were eviscerated by robots after having destroyed a large patch of russet mold ... apparently what infected Gerrol. The medical robot hauled him off for experimentation. Also, any indication of what shut off the Torch?"

You received 4,000gp and a scroll of resurrection from Dolga as reward for rescuing Khonnir.

Urgeon Porpentine |

The Priest's assessment
Urgeon looks at Khonnir with concern, "We will do everything possible to help him. We'll talk to Trett and we can certainly watch over him at the Foundry Tavern tonight."
The Councilwoman's request.
Urgeon shakes his head, "I don't believe we discovered the fate of the other two expeditions yet. We also don't have an answer on Torch's flame. We will try to answer these questions when we return to the ruins tomorrow."
Let's go talk to Sanvill Trett.

DM Fflash |

Priest's Assessment
Joram ponders Razorend's question, "I use disease because I don't know what else to call it. There's no sign of infection or fever or the other body reactions, but his mind is deteriorating again and it's not early dementia. Something is causing it, I just don't know what. I will attempt to treat it like a disease, but I'm not certain what the efficacy will be."

DM Fflash |

Looks like no one has anything else ...
Sanvill Trett
Urgeon leads the party down to find Sanvill Trett. His stall is closed for lunch and a few questions to the other vendors lead you to the Evercandle Inn where Sanvill is apparently staying. You find the man enjoying a plate of steamed vegetables and a glass of cider in the aforementioned accommodation.
He smiles broadly when he sees you, "The intrepid explorers have returned!"
He stands and wipes his mouth with a napkin, "I hear you've rescued our lost Councilman as well! What brings you to visit this peddler?"

Urgeon Porpentine |

Urgeon nods at Sanvill and then gets right to business. "Yes, we rescued Khonnir, but he appears to be infected by a strange disease - something he picked up in the ruins. Do you have any technology that can help him?"

Urgeon Porpentine |

Urgeon will provide Sanvill a detailed account of all the creatures encountered in the ruins. "We rescued Khonnir from some sort of robot that had been experimenting on him. Prior to that we fought vegepygmies, automotons, a ghelarn and four armed skeletons."

Ridic Slaranack |

"There is something very wrong down there, very wrong. The technology, is haunting! We must destroy all that we can while we are down there, it is bringing this world further into darkness."
Then Ridic quiets down and keeps to himself.

DM Fflash |

Sanvill listens intently as you regale him with your stories, nodding every once and a while and even repeating unfamiliar words that you mention.
As you arrive at his stall, he rummages through his locked chest and states "Yes, I think you are correct, a cureall should do it. I have a couple here. Either can be yours for 1,400 gold ... minus your discount, of course."
He holds up a tiny rounded cylinder, about a 1/2 inch long and bluish-green in color.

Urgeon Porpentine |

Urgeon nods and turns to the others, "We have to do this for Khonnir."
Unless there's any dissent, Urgeon pays Sanvill.
He then turns back to the tech dealer, "How do we apply the cureall?"

Kovax Exner |

I am not opposed to paying for this, but I also think this is absolutely worth going and asking the city council to foot the bill before we do it.
If no one objects to trying that first, Kovax will go explain the situation to the dwarf to see if that is something they would cover

Kovax Exner |

Well I wouldn't say he means nothing to us, but half of us barely know who he is, one of us (me) has worked with him but as an android I am not attached to him, I think only Urgeon is truly close to him. So because of that, it would make sense to have the council pony up the cost because having him back is obviously critical to the town

DM Fflash |

It's inaccurate to say you barely know who he is. You don't all know him intimately, but everyone knows the Councilman/women in Torch. He's famous (as far as a small town goes), fwiw. And Ridic! You took local ties as a trait ... you and Urgeon both know Khonnir Bhaine extremely well!
City Council
As the party works with Sanvill trading stories and discussing gear, Kovax runs over to visit Dolga to see if the council can aid with the cure. After listening to Kovax's request, Dolga sighs and waves her hand, "Look, we had that scroll of resurrection to use in case he died. It wasn't really part of the reward. Sell or trade that and you have the money you need to bring him up to snuff. Honestly, if I knew he was damaged to begin with, I would have done it myself. Regardless, all the coin I have left to spare is to be used as reward for turning the Torch back on. Beyond that, the coffers are reserved for running the town."

Urgeon Porpentine |

It's not worth trading in the resurrection scroll. Let's just use the 4K.
Urgeon will immediately return back to Khonnir and will give him the dose. "How are you feeling old friend?"

Ridic Slaranack |

I don't recall the intimate connection with Khonnir and myself, but ok, with that, I will change my direction
"Lets try and recoup some of this money from the town, but if they are not going to pay, I will kick in more. He is a good guy and a personal friend of mine"

DMFflash |

I guess so....it doesn't appear that I have many beneficial armor options available
You could grab a buckler, and you could also swap your starting feats (which are unusable at this level) and pick up dodge and shield focus. That will.give you 3 AC with a slight penalty to hit with the buckler. You can swap the feats out later once you get magic armor.

Urgeon Porpentine |

I've put together a loot tracker here. Can you post this link in the campaign tab? The current split is 1041 gp each.
Urgeon will take the silver holy symbols of Brigh to several of the local merchants for appraisal. He also will research if a wand of grease is a available (1d100 ⇒ 18). He will use his split to purchase.
I assume we're going to stay over night to watch over Khonnir and recover.
The next day Urgeon will attempt again to identify the magical ring and the magical cloak.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
What were the three potions that we found - CMW? Did we use?
Urgeon will take the retractable wire device and the two silverdisks that glow blue to Sanville to see if he can identify the tech.
Are silverdisks traded in for 50% value or 100% value?

DMFflash |

Khonnir Save vs Disease: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Khonnir and Val have moved to the foundry. Khonnir is asleep, but Val wakes him up to take the pill. He swallows it and then shakes his head, but then he gives a little start and coughs up a glob of grayish goo.
"Huh, feel better already." He then yawns and mutter something before he passes out, "Need to fill you in on what I learned .... morning ..."
Yes, wand of grease available. Silverdisks spend like cash, now. I'll get the tracker up and double check the magic items once I can refer to my computer later today
Sanvill Trett
"These are batteries like the last ones you brought me. No charge to ID those. This, however, is fascinating. Let me spend a few moments with it ... I'll jot down a few notes as to what I think it does."
-Posted with Wayfinder

DM Fflash |

The un-ID'd items are a ring of protection +1 and a cloak of resistance +1. 3 potions were all CMW, don't think you used any of them.
The holy symbols appraise as jewelry items at 25gp each although the appraiser looks askance at you for a moment, "Hey, these seem familiar ... naaah, can't place em." before he shakes his head and takes them off your hands.
Loot Spreadsheet added to the top of the Campaign Tab
Sanvill Trett
"Yes, yes ... I see now. These "leads" here are for connection to the door pads you've been seeing or other similar receptacles for the pass cards. This device can be used to open one of those without a pass card, if you have the requisite understanding of the schematics of this device and the internal workings of those doors. The color on the box seems to indicate its complexity and how well it will aid you in getting through."
10 gp for the ID

Urgeon Porpentine |

I think we gave the ring to Ridic. Who wants the cloak? Everyone but Ridic should take a CMW potion. Urgeon will hold onto the electronic device. Trading in the holy symbols brings the split to 1054 gp each.

Ridic Slaranack |

That total split, does that include the award, minus the healing for khonnir? Yes, Ridic did take the ring.
Ridic will just relax for the evening and help watch over Khonnir before make plans in the morning

DMFflash |

One thing we worked out last evening was that you all would use the foundry and tavern as a base of operations. The tavern will be closed for a while and the Foundry is use able as a Forge for any non sky metal crafting.
Please note where you want to set up your individual living spaces/work area in either the tavern, the loft in the Foundry or the SE room in Khonnir's home.
Also, need to know if you're going to repair the conduit yourself (make your craft roll), wait for Khonnir in the morning or go to another Smith in town (tell me where).

Razorend |

Razorend will keep his stash for now, saving up for that mithril chain shirt.
Razorend arrives at the foundry a few hours later, carrying a small duffel bag of his few worldly possessions. He finds a dry corner of the foundry loft and lays out his bed.
A bit of an improvement from the last place... and fewer rats.

DM Fflash |

Kovax is able to easily hammer the conduit back into shape with the help of a lit forge and some available smelting materials. While not pretty, it looks like it should be effective.
I've placed Ridic and Razorend based on their comments. Need Kovax and Urgeon to set up their locations as well. Don't think you want to set up in the forge if you intend to use it.

Urgeon Porpentine |

Urgeon will join Ridic and Kovax in the tavern. After setting up his gear, he finds a bottle under the bar and pours shots for the group. "My friends, here's to successfully bringing Khonnir back! Tomorrow we return to the ruins, but tonight, we drink."
