Any word on if we're supposed to purchase the boons from the quests and scenarios we've played?
Shouldn't have to if you already have the boon. Starting with season 2 the chronicles didn't have a boon written on them so that is where these mostly come into play.
It is not going to hurt anything if you do download them again. The system should be set to only allow you to assign it to the character that played the scenario.

The Extinction Curse AP has now been sanctioned with chronicles. Also the pug-faced Shooni Ancestry has been added to the AcP boon Purchase tab.

Any chance I could get some help making this thread inactive? I'm not the original GM, and it looks as if they're still away from the boards.
GM RePete |
If you're just wanting it to disappear from your active campaigns tab, there's another option...
Go to the gameplay forums and select the 'focus' option at the top right to reduce what's displayed to only ones you've posted in. Find that particular campaign and click the circle with a line through it on the far left right side.
This should hide it from your campaigns tab.
Tyranius |
Repete's is the easiest method to get the game to disappear from your campaign page. While it doesn't make it inactive it does pull it from your sight on the Campaign page.
The only way to make it inactive if the owning GM has not is to become the owning GM or message Paizo's website feedback.

I got a thread inactivated a while back. Customer Service told me I could send them the request directly (customer.service at paizo dot com).
Somewhere in the weeds of forum FAQs, I found this guideline for formatting requests: E-mail them links to your profile, the Gameplay thread, and the Discussion thread.
Tyranius |
Right now Customer Service is up to date on the forums. They are 3 months + backed up on email requests.

Okay, so I realized I may have to rebuild a few things on my character. He just hit level 5, but I have not yet played him at level 5. Which one do I have to purchase, ACP wise to legally rebuild him?
Career Change Rebuild a PC who has 48 or more XP (level 5+) Each additional purchase adds 15 points to the total cost.
phaeton_nz |
Speaking of rebuilds .. do we need to purchase one of those to change the School because of the new rules? Say Field Agent to Generalist?
Sedoriku |
I don't believe so. I think all of the characters are being given a free reselection of those.
Actually I was wrong somewhat, all people trained in a school prior to season two's new rules can choose any of the five. Field Commissioned agents stay field commissioned. All characters with points in Spells, Scrolls, or Swords remove the points and any benefits conferred by their old School training. Then choose one of the five current options - Spells, Scrolls, Swords, Generalist, or Field Commission and apply benefits as outlined in the Year 2 Guide. Characters who choose Field Commission do not apply “extra downtime” retroactively.
Characters with points in Field Commission remove points but have no other changes.
So for a field agent, yes you would. Everyone else is okay it seems.

Hello everyone. I have a quick question for you. I may have missed it somewhere. As a new player to Pathfinder Society, do I have to start with specific scenario? Or would I be good to join up with any scenario as long as it can support my level 1 character?
You can start with any scenario, quest or bounty for a level 1 character. If you don’t mind playing a pregenerated character, you could even play a higher level scenario and ask that credit be applied to your level 1 character.
A lot of people like to start with the Absalom Initiation for story reasons, but there is no requirement that a character ever go through it.

Any scenario for levels 1-4. And from what I learned when I first started on here a few months ago is that people here love helping new players get started.
Welcome Aboard!

Welcome!
If you're new to Pathfinder, I suggest you play two level 1 pregens similar to what you might want to make your first character. Then, create a character and play them at level 1.
Your character can be completely rebuilt until you begin your first level 2 adventure, so take full advantage of that.

If any GM's have a Tier 1-4 game starting soon please reserve a space for Ahkota.
Welcome Ahkota! Glad to have you join us. As you have already seen this is a very friendly and helpful Lodge. If you have any questions getting set up or finding a game let us know.
Keep on eye on this recruitment tab often as that is where games will be posted looking for players.

Shoony Ancestry (Discounted) Build a player character with the shoony ancestry found in the Extinction Curse Adventure Path. Only available if you have played at least one volume of the Extinction Curse AP. One-time purchase.

Shoony Ancestry Build a player character with the shoony ancestry found in the Extinction Curse Adventure Path. One-time purchase.

So is it possible to buy two Shoony Ancestries? Or will the other one automatically become unavailable if buy one of them?

The Shoony is a one time purchase so once either of those are purchased then both will become unavailable. The 160 AcP Shoony is available to all. The 80 AcP Shoony is only available to those that have played a volume of the Extinction Curse Adventure Path.

Is this accurate? I ask because each of the 6 chronicles offers a discounted Shoony.

Blog Post PF2E Errata and FAQ's
Can someone just copy & paste the text of the second link into the forums somewhere?
I can't access much of paizo.com (the 500 error), including the landing page for the second link (paizo.com/pathfinder/faq). I've reported this a bunch of times and tried everything that I've been able to find from the Website Feedback forum, so trying to fix the underlying problem is not an option.

I was able to get it using incognito for whatever reason. (Maybe Paizo just didn't want ME to see it, but stealthy me is OK)
There's also this reddit post that someone put together and what I've been using since it distinguishes between new and old errata.

If I re-downloaded the Core-rulebook PDF now - would it be up to date?
Also, I haven't had any problems access the Paizo site so I'm not sure why Watery Soup is having so many problems. Has he tried a different Browser? Maybe the site is optimised for Edge - that's an experiment I've been meaninng to try (currently using Chrome). The only recommendations I can think of (as an ex computer engineer) is to ensure that the Operating System and Browswer are up to date. It all else fails, backup everything and do a clean re-install. That's what I end up doing every so often.

The core rulebook was indeed updated on Monday for the 2nd Printing!

Ok it been awhile since I have played. At what point do you level up at? Is it like 1st ed. at every 3 adventures? This one has 5 PP

In case anyone missed it, the Beginner Box has been sanctioned, and the sanctioning is IMHO quite generous. Check it out!
And for those who don't know what the Beginner Box is, it is a new product that released this month aimed at new players (though the sanctioning rewards are generous to encourage experienced players and GM's to be willing to use the Beginner Box to onboard new players). Unlike prior Beginner Boxes, the PF2 beginner box uses core rules but has slimmed down the amount of stuff you need to know to get started. It features an adventure (called "Menace Under Otari") that is about as long as 1 chapter in a standalone adventure/adventure path book. The adventure is aimed to cover character level 1.
Next month, Trouble Under Otari releases which is a standalone adventure that is the direct sequel to the Beginner Box and will cover character levels 2-4. though we don't know if Trouble in Otari will get sanctioned.
DoubleGold |
So, does the beginner Box only have solo adventures? And when I run the adventure for organized credit, I run it and report it for one person? Well really 2, The Dm and the player.
Edit: When I read the description it says it features a solo adventure. I didn't know if they meant that to mean one adventure, or they meant a solo adventure as in run it for one person.
Edit: Just purchased the beginner box pdf and leaving this post where it was in case others ask, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who was confused. This adventure is designed to be played by four 1st-level heroes, but it will work for two or three heroes with only a few slight adjustments. Now to start recruiting.

It just means that there is one adventure provided.

They get downtime in the Pathfinder Beginner Box? When I read the key differences from scenarios, it seems like they don't get downtime as the beginner box assumes they aren't Pathfinders, like how it was in bounties, nor do I see it anywhere stating they get 8 downtime days. I told my players to roll it anyway after tonight's roll20 session just in case, but I want to make sure before I hand out those chronicle sheets.
Sedoriku |
They get downtime. 2 days per xp point on he chronicle, 3 if field commissioned. Thus two four xp chronicles gives 16 days (or 24 if field commissioned). They would have to roll earn income twice (3 or 4 times for FC depending on how the days get split up) as 1 roll is only good for 8 days maximum.

You can also use Token Tool to open the PDF. A box will pop up and you can drag any image layers out onto your desktop/scenario folder and it will retain the transparency.

Can someone explain to me, what is the Gameplay portion of this thread? It baffles me.
Hi Thomas, at the moment the lodge Gameplay tabs are used as a place the community can hang out and enjoy a little additional roleplaying in character. Some use it to indicate a character is ready to accept an assignment and go on another mission. Other's just to socialise or practice roleplaying or work on developing the flavour of their character.
A question for the community as a whole - Do you wish to keep the channel for those uses or would you rather it became an announcement channel where it was locked to general discussion but the VO team could post announcements, links to important blogs, etc.?

If it were locked wouldn’t that prevent players from dotting in to be able to monitor the other threads?
