I have an idea. I'll lay out a general plan, and Azura can run with it until we encounter a situation that requires specific interaction. That way we aren't stretching out repetitious RP.

I'll be heading to central Oregon tomorrow for the solar eclipse. While I'll be camping on a friend's property, I won't be looking for opportunities to get online.

Okay, so there is one final change I was wondering if I could make to Arloric when the time comes: tweaking his Campaign trait, specifically from Stolen Fury to Exposed to Awfulness. It doesn't change Arloric's backstory by a large degree, and was originally what I'd intended for him before I followed a suggestion that Champion would fit his build better mechanically. Guardian/Hierophant was my original intention for Arloric, and I understand if this is one change too many. Is this okay?

You can do pretty much any changes you like when you rest and level up. In my mind, 1st level in an AP is just getting to know your character and figure out if it's working the way you want and telling the story that you want - this often changes as you hit the actual adventure and see how it works in practice.

Also, are we keeping the traits as is, or will we be reverting to standard (1 Campaign Trait, 1 regular trait)? At the moment I've got 4 different traits, and for the life of me I'm not sure why we did that at Character Creation. 0_o

- A rogue with this talent uses mental and emotional tricks to protect herself from attempts to discern her alignment. This offers her the benefits of undetectable alignment whenever she chooses, though she must be conscious to maintain the effect.

Okay, I did a LOT of retooling to finally get Arloric figured out. Patch update notes:

  • Reverted archetype back to Nature Fang.
  • Updated attribute scores to 20-Point Buy.
  • Dropped Inspiring and Omen traits.
  • Updated skill list with Background Skills.
  • Added additional language thanks to new INT bonus (Hallit).
  • Updated Red Branch to 2nd level.

Solid, if they're open to listening to your Bluff in the first place. They may just say "HOW DO WE KNOW YOU'RE NOT A DEMON TRYING TO TRICK US?!" and refuse to open the door.

It's not so much negotiating, so much as being able to bluff them in their language. And to pick up what they're saying as well.

Spywork is a totally viable angle for rogue types. Sometimes you might encounter demons or devils that you don't necessarily wanna confront directly until you have better resources. :)
