Can anyone remember how long it's been OOC since we had a long rest? I've lost track of my uses of smite, LoH, and the like. Not sure there's time IC for a rest, but I could use one to reset those counters.

Sorry my posting's been slow this week. Since I'm in Minnesota (and my workplace is right on the outskirts of Minneapolis itself) you can imagine what's been occupying most of my energy and focus. Getting caught up now that I have a day off to rest and recover.
The results of my sister's latest PET Scan are in.
There continues to be growth in multiple lymph nodes and one small spot on the liver.
They want to pursue a 4th line of treatment which is not normal for a year into treatment. According to the doctor, this will likely just be as effective as the other treatments she has had since she has an aggressive form of cancer.

Tried to fly out on Tuesday for a family event, but the flight out of here went through DFW. It was delayed 90 minutes, and then another 30 minutes, and then canceled. Which is probably fine since most flights out of DFW were also canceled that day. Better to not leave than be stranded at a hub.
With another big storm brewing for the weekend, which would have been my return time, I'm thinking I dodged a second bullet.
So when I was at my sister's house in Colorado over the holiday break, I slipped on some of her stairs and fell. The swelling was not going down so I went to Urgent Care and they took x-rays yesterday, 3 broken toys on my right foot.

I live about 3.5 hours northeast of DFW. This wasn't the worst winter storm in living memory (not nearly as many people here out of power as the 200 Ice Storm, for instance), but we were hit hard enough that my university canceled classes for a week and some side roads are still dicey today (as I found when driving to church this afternoon).
Yeah, even in places that are used to heavy snow or that the storm has already passed, like here in Minnesota, we're still feeling the effects of it. We've got people stranded by it here at the hotel and we've had people cancelling their reservations because they're stranded somewhere else.
We need the snow in NM.
Good news, no foot surgery.

Just a heads-up, we got a massive winter storm blowing in tomorrow, so I will be stranded at the hotel I work at for the weekend, so I won't be able to do any intensive posting since I'm stuck with just my phone.

So it turns out I'm a dumbass who can't remember which month comes when, and my jury summons was actually for the end of APRIL instead of March. >_<
Lol. It's already been a long year
I will have to take a trip to Colorado. It may be the end of my sister's pilgrimage shortly.
My sister passed away on Easter Sunday.

A RL gaming friend of mine was diagnosed with liver and colon cancer recently. Stage 4, life expectancy 3-4 years if he does chemo the whole time. He's 41, married a few years ago (his wife was also part of our RL group).
We are living with a 79-year-old tween.
My mother-in-law lived with us back in the 2000's and it wasn't anywhere near this bad.
We buried my sister today.
