I was just hoping to clear the covered-up area on mdt's map. That last ball of negative energy (that we have deducted) has to have come from somewhere, and it won't hurt to turn the room upside-down before we leave.

If nothing else, Connor can make 4 constructs and have them do the work.

Then, back to the map! We can search the middle-left now that the upper-left is all done.

Not much I can do until people tell me they are doing things. You've got the rest of the covered map to search, or you can go home. But I can't do anything until the group tells me what they are going to do.

The quiet was why I asked if people were bored, as they don't seem much interested in the game right now, other than Connor and the very patient Reaghar.

Slow weekend! I was prepared for the big battle or the big disappoint. So far it looks like Sammark wants to be first at the trapdoor, with Alys ready with her soulbolt gun, and Connor ready to bull-rush 4 constructs into the tunnel if need be.

Or this could be like that AD&D game I once played where we had a dungeon full of bugbears. We found a choke point in the corridors, and proceeded to use my greatsword fighter and the ranger to do a Veg-a-matic (tm) on the door as each bugbear came through it. We killed something like 20 bugbears in about 2 minutes, getting 100xp for each carcass. Not bad for one day's work. Good times with the facing rules and "in the doorway" rules of 2nd Ed. back then.

Took Speed of Thought as a feat, and Hidden Pocket as a power.

my insight that i just took lets me, upon hitting someone with disrupt pattern and they are not one of my two active types, make whatever knowledge check appropriate to their type upon hitting. If i succeed on the check, they take damage as if they are my active type.

Nice. And good idea with Cryptic's Hidden Pocket. Just in case we have to get Heward's Handy Haversack the hard way (i.e., level 5 crafting).

The insight attack will help with unknown monsters. Do you have to put a skill point in Knowledge: The Planes and Knowledge: Nature? Or is the insight automatic?

Cryptic seems to have the same additional knack as a Cleric with the Knowledge domain. "Lore Keeper (Sp): You can touch a creature to learn about its abilities and weaknesses. With a successful touch attack, you gain information as if you made the appropriate Knowledge skill check with a result equal to 15 + your cleric level + your Wisdom modifier."

Slowly building his knowledges while keeping vital skills maxed. in a few levels i will take a feat makes disrupt pattern do regular damage (instead of half) to non-active-typed monsters, and deals bonus damage to active-typed monsters

Yeah, nobody bothers to move their icons anymore. I usually end up doing it so I can spring traps. Unless someone lets me know they can't do it, I think I'll just leave people where their icons are. :)

Eventually someone will be 400 ft from everyone else and I can replace them with a doppleganger clone. :)

Unless we're walking and covering vast distances I try to be polite and give everyone 48 hours on moving their icons on the map. It only really matters in a battle.

But hey! We're not moving lineally anymore. We jumped to the other side, and it wasn't to the slave pens or the boss monster. Sam's still in one piece, and now we have another person with Halfling on their language roster in the room.

Just took a look at Selvan's Telepathy-via-Collective power, and the sentence "Psionic creatures who are willing members in a tactician's collective (including the tactician himself) may manifest unknown powers known by another willing psionic creature in the collective as if they were making physical contact." stood out to me.

This has possibilities.

All of us in Selvan's collective now has the "Manifest an Unknown Power from Another's powers Known" paragraph available to us. You have to do three Psicraft checks: DC 20 to "see" all powers in a person, DC 15 + the power’s level to "understand" it (power must be on your list), and a final "manifester" check of DC 15 + the power’s level.

So at the start of the day Sammark wants to cast Sustenance from Connor's list. Now, Sam is a Martial Kineticist, so he "selects his powers known from the psychic warrior power list as well as any psychokinesis power from the psion power list or any power from the kineticist power list."
Sam reading Connor's list DC 20 Psicraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

0: Detect Psionics (can detect magic in this world), Ectoplamsic Trinket, Energy Splash, and Far Hand

Sustenance is on the Psychic Warrior list, so Sammark does another Psicraft check.
Sam reading Sustenance from Connor DC 17 Psicraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Successfully "understanding" Sustenance, Sam then tries to manifest the power.
Sam manifesting Sustenance from Connor DC 17 Psicraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Successful, Sam manifests Sustenance on himself with a cost of 3 power points.

This means we can cast powers from each other without having to use power stones or tattoos. We can do this now. Only the powers not on our list(s) are barred. Selvan's Natural Healing, for instance. But Selvan can cast that on any of us, through his Collective network.

The person who loses out on this is Alys, who doesn't have powers and can't share her soulbolt gun. Otherwise, we would all be armed now. :) But Connor can still craft power stones, he just doesn't have to share the crafting time with Reaghar or Selvan to do it! And Reaghar can make Psionic Tattoos of Natural Healing now by himself.

This is great! Now to mark my psionic power list with "shareable" powers, and to write down others' powers on my character sheet. It means we don't have to double our powers among ourselves, as long as we stay a team in this game.

In the heat of battle getting a DC 20 followed by two DC 15-17 rolls is going to be a bit of a challenge at our level, but look at all the utility powers. Sammark now can manifest Call Item from Connor for tools (see Google Spreadsheet for list.). Reaghar and Sammark can make arrows with Ectoplamsic Trinket. Sammark and Selvan both get Sustenance, cutting down on our food costs. We're a bunch of Sorcerers who just got access to each others' wands of our powers. It's too bad Feat Leech doesn't last for hours instead of minutes, in which case it would be perfect for crafting.

Light sources are: Hero can see 40 ft in the dark, Sam can carry/light a torch, Connor can carry/light a torch or use his ring of Crystal Light, and we have one sunrod left.

About 6 years ago one of my characters came up with "poison pill signet rings of Continual Flame", as well as "headbands of Continual Flame" at my local tabletop game. This was way before Ioun Torches were invented in Ultimate Equipment. My inspiration came from the AAA-battery-driven headlamp I bought at Lowe's Home Improvement. I put the items into a Living Greyhawk module being played at a local convention in North Carolina, and I still get feedback from people who found out about the certified treasure and absolutely had to play the module just to get the item(s). Now we even have those tiny "finger lights" you can wrap around your finger. They're a big help when I'm digging in the duffel bag late at night in a tent in the woods.

Once we get out of here and hit Level 5, Connor will crank out enough rings and headbands of Crystal Light (that still sounds like a powder drink to me) for everyone.

At this point, I'm ready to just smash the desk to bits with an improvised weapon. Like Call Item: Miner's Pick. Of course, with my luck that would set off an explosion. This is just ridiculous. Two gas attacks from the same desk? And probably no treasure. I wonder if I can get the psicrystal and the constructs to do all the searching. The psicrystal is supposed to duplicate Connor's skills, and the constructs can do simple tasks.
