Sorry, we don't do nuance here. They're all terrible. Halflings need to be banned.

A poppet made to look like a weird kobold/goblin crossbreed, stitched from tanned halfling skin, stuffed with leshy pulp, crafted (and adopted) by an insane gnome who was trying to Make Friends, and raised her to believe that she's a grippli. (It was the easiest explanation that was even slightly plausible for how she wound up looking.) Dressed (by her adopted father) in gnomish style.
I mean, if you're going to make a compromise abomination, you might as well go all the way.

Where do the Ysoki and Shoony come in?
I'd ask about Fleshwarps too, but well.

I feel like in keeping with the theme of the thread I really ought to say something dismissive and insulting about the dog-rats, but really the answer is that I couldn't come up with any way to include them that I was happy with. If you can come up with a way to best me in this, then by all means feel free.
I did enjoy the bit where I was able to include the fleshwarps without directly mentioning them in any way.

TBH I never liked halflings since I don't know what a ling is.
Well, as someone said upthread, a type of fish is one meaning of the word "ling", but the suffix "-ling" is a diminutive, so a halfling is a small half. :-)

So, like a quarter then? Or a 5/12ths sort of situation?

Kobold
Leshy
Ysoki / Ratfolk

I keep thinking that Anadi should have had a small option with their adaptive heritage, but I see that I will have plenty of small races to choose from!
Hmm

"Oh you're right, that makes the song totally different!" Jackpot puts away his songbook and pulls out his lute again. "Happy New Year!" He strums the familiar tune.
♫ Golarian has Halflings
Who just want a snack
And it has Ant Gnolls
With a sharp bite attack
It is has tiny delights
Like Poppets and Sprites!
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
(Vine leshies make it a small, small whorl)
There are small Automatons
With gears that click and clack
And sticky toed Grippli
With poisonous backs
Goblins set fire to the beach
So firefighter gnomes do not bleach!
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
(Leaf leshies glide with a small, small curl)
There are tinkering Ysoki
With their cheek pouches full
And shadowed Fetchling wisps
That look really cool
Kobolds may look somewhat frail
But they have dragon breath and scales!
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
(Fruit leshies have berries like a small, small pearl)
There are monstrous Fleshwarps
With a coating of slime
And cuddly pacifist Shoonies
Who dig through dirt and grime
That's uncommon, rare and core
Though we wish there were more!
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
It's Golarian for the small
(Lotus leshies float with a small, small twirl) ♫

Thank you! I may have to come up with more verses as they release more small ancestries. Because if there is one thing this thread has proven, there are not enough small and tiny ancestries yet. My favorite part so far has been coming up with new leshy heritage bits for the chorus, because my goodness there are a lot of leshy heritages!

I understand that we're soon to receive a skeleton heritage that comes in small, for what it's worth.
I'm entertained by the idea of a tiny undead (skeleton) familiar inside of a small skeleton PC inside of a medium undead (skeleton) companion inside of a large undead (skeleton) eidolon playing silly Matryoshka doll games... but admittedly, that's starting to get off-topic.

We have tiny fey (sprites) already. So what is the excuse for no gremlins?!?!?
*snit!*
It's because they are filthy filthy beasts, and do not deserve representation.
Well, okay. That's not fair. Basing representation on hygiene is just another way to discriminate against the poor, and the example of the goblins has indicated that it can be easily fixed with proper socialization. Gremlins are no more beasts than the rest of us - indeed, far less, given their fey ancestry. They...
Darnit, I'm trying, okay?

Goblins aren't the personification of household accidents made manifest by the First World like gremlins are though.

So now you're discriminating against them based on their origins?

There's vast room for nuance around the framing of "fey" as being separate from mortal beings, fey being allegorical for forces of nature and mortal beings being allegorical for, well, people.
But unfortunately, we killed nuance. It's not allowed anymore. So yes. Yes we are.
Bah. I knew I should have gone with "That's what they want you to think." Ah, well. Too late now.
