The quickest way to make sure your order has been authorized, is to go to your Order History and see if you have a Pending Order with the items you're expecting at the top of the list.
You can also go to the page of a book you're expecting to receive (i.e, the APG) and see if you have a notice in red at the top of the page that says "Note: You purchased this product Thursday" (or whatever day your auth went through; mine says Thursday).
Cool, okay mine went through friday. Thank you!

We are aware that some folks did not have the Pathfinder Adventures sub line item, The Slithering, generate in their subscription order. We're working on fixing this and if you don't see this resolved for you by end of day Monday, July 13, please let us know via email.
Did this fix for anyone else? Sending an email as requested, but it seems like it's time to cross fingers again.

There are several threads about issues with the auths that have not yet been addressed, and they spent until yesterday clearing up a common problem with The Slithering missing from many orders. I would be surprised if actual shipping begins before they take care of the most serious issues in the subscription orders.

Right. That Slithering issue isn't fixed either. Or maybe it's just me? Anyways, I'll not surprised there no shipping yet, though I think it would be really nice to hear from them regarding a possible timeframe...

Well, that was neat timing! Slithering is in my orders, so it seems they're fixing it still today. Hooray!
These poor folks are working so hard.

For the three books (Advanced Player's Guide, Lost Omens: Legends, and the monthly Adventure Path) it looks like it's $25.19 for shipping to Ohio. Does that sound about right to anyone else from around these parts? I realize two of them are hardcover books, but yeesh. That's a lot.
The statues I get from Tweeterhead don't usually cost that much in shipping, and they are heavier than the "approximate 5 lbs." listed for the shipping weight on this current Paizo order. Considering that other sites offer free shipping on any amount as low as $75-$100, and there is just no savings here any longer. I think I'm going to have to re-evaluate ordering through Paizo.
I topped out at $89.72 for the three books, after discounts. I did add the Black and Red Dragon miniature set to my sidecart, so here's hoping they combine that with these three books and I can qualify for that $10.00 off shipping Paizo offers for orders of $100.00 or more.
Has anyone else experienced higher than normal shipping rates this month?

That definitely sounds high for the Cheapest Available option. What shipping option do you have selected?

25 is what I normally pay for Ups Ground each month.

My shipping for just the APG is about 6 bucks to Ohio.

Thanks everyone for the responses.
Some additional info:
I have the cheapest option selected for my subscriptions
When it's just an Adventure Path, as it was in June, shipping is typically $4.83 from the Warehouse to here in Northeast Ohio.
In other words, these two hardcover books supposedly total $20.36 in shipping, or $10.18 per book. I feel like that is just way too much.
Grankless mentioned that shipping just for the APG is about $6 to Ohio. We can assume it would be similar for me. But even if we double that, to account for the Lost Omens book, that's $12.00, give or take. Added to the $4.83 for the Adventure Path, the total is $16.83. Even rounding it up to $17.00 in shipping would leave $8.19 unaccounted for, yes?
When I add each book separately to my cart to gauge the shipping costs per item, I'm looking at:
Adventure Path shipping = $4.83
Advanced Player's Guide = $6.81
Lost Omens: Legends = $12.01
I'm really confused as to why Lost Omens is nearly twice as much in shipping as Advanced Player's Guide. It can't be that much heavier, can it? But even so, the total is still not quite $25.19.
Ami I missing something here? Can one of the kind customer service folks please let me know what accounts for such a high shipping cost?

I have priority mail and live in Wisconsin, the last shipment I had with two hardcovers my cost was a bit over 13 dollars.
I had some overtime for a few weeks in a row so I went a little b~&&*+$ this month so my shipping costs are considerably more.
By the way, I've found with priority mail there are considerably less bugs with shipping, I've never had it fluctuate or get weird like it does with the cheapest available option. And I usually get my order two or three days after it ships.
Joana |
Yeah, with Cheapest Available selected, it definitely shouldn't be that much. Like Ageron, I have 6 items shipping Cheapest Available, and it comes to less than the $10 I get discounted for First Ten Shipping.
I would start a separate thread just for your issue, Pigraven, just in case Customer Service doesn't comb through this thread right away. They try to look for threads with issues about the current shipment before shipping, so you might get their attention quicker that way.

What's your estimated weight? I've got five items, including 2 hardcovers, estimated weight is 6 lbs, shipping method is standard postal delivery, estimated shipping is 8.87.
My estimated shipping weight is 5 lbs.
Are you in the Ohio area? Postal routes often make a big difference, even more so sometimes than actual distance. But generally speaking, most Ohioans I talk to have roughly the same shipping costs for items that I do.
Per Amazon, the Lost Omens book is only 128 pages. So it's not as if it should be generating brick-heavy shipping charges. The Advanced Player's Guide appears to be 272 pages, more in line with--but still lighter than--either Bestiary.
Per your subscriptions at the top, it looks like you've probably crossed the $100.00 subtotal threshold, and thus qualify for that $10.00 Paizo credit toward shipping, right? I did not. Still, even if you add $10.00 on to that $8.87, it's still $6.32 cheaper for your order than mine, and yours is estimated 1 lb. heavier.

You could try replicating your order exactly, Pigraven and just not checking out.
The second step should give you the available shipping options. Perhaps that will shed some light?
After that you can just go back to remove everything from your sidecart.
My guess would be its going fastest rather than cheapest.

Thanks for the tip. I finished doing just that before coming to post again, so great minds think alike!
Anyways, the result? Shipping for those three items is = $8.91
So that's a difference of $16.28 between the subscription order shipping, and the same three books ordered together without subscription. Yeah, there's definitely a bug or something.
I should note that my subscription page is indicating to me that it's got Cheapest Option available selected.

You clearly need CS help but, out of interest: Was there another shipping option that lined up with the incorrect charge?
I've experienced "cheapest option" not sticking before and instead defaulting to USPS priority (from memory anyhow. It was a while ago).
I'm curious if it's that or some peculiar bug buried a little deeper.

Good call. And you're right! The USPS Priority Mail option was $25.19.
I'll update my post below accordingly.
Thanks for the help.
Also, I found I was able to add the Battles Premium Dragons set after all to be shipped with this order. It changed the subtotal to $131.71 (which is as it should be). But interestingly enough, total shipping is $10.68, with four items listed with total of a 7 lb. package weight. So it seems to have forced it to right itself.
Now if I could only add the Pathfinder Adventures subscription and Slithering to this particular order, that would be great. But instead it seem to want to push it toward next month, even if I set it in my Sidecart.

I was wondering about an order that I submitted on May 29, 2020. I have tried to contact you about it and also when I ordered the items, it said " Available ". Could you please reach out to me and let me know the status as it has been a while with NO return of my correspondence. It has been 33 Business fays with no reply. tyvm

Are international pending orders processed before N. America ones? Since they'll have a longer shipping time?
I don't think Paizo makes any distinction between domestic and international orders.
From what I gathered in the last couple of years, Paizo mixes up the order of subscription-shipping from month to month. They group together same orders (like "only rulebook", "only Pathfinder AP", "Rulebook and AP", "AP and Accessories",...) and print the labels for those groups as one.
(There probably is some distinction in there somewhere whether the package goes out with UPS, USPS, or Priority or something.
Sometimes I'm at the front of the line, sometimes I'm in the back, and I'm from Europe.
Unusual orders (like sidecarted items added to subscriptions) can happen in between, Preorders are being shipped after the street-date, I think.

It’s complicated. It does factor into the mix, but it’s not as simple as “all international, then all domestic”. They batch a whole bunch of identical orders together to maximise overall efficiency. The goal is “quickest overall” rather than trying to hit some hard-to-enunciate, equitable goal.
Ideally, all of us would have our packages delivered in streetdate but that ideal is up achievable and they need to spread things out. Their main focus is keeping the overall shipping window short and that does result in some of us being consistently later than others.
Having said that, as Franz mentioned, they do mix things up a bit so sometimes you’ll be at the front, sometimes at the back of the queue.
My default is to look at the last day of the shipping window, assume it will be mailed then and add a couple of weeks travel time. That way, I’m nearly always pleasantly surprised (although my May shipment still hasn’t arrived, so it’s not foolproof...).

Im hoping mine will ship before the weekend, but if not I'll be ok. I took the week of GenCon off and if I get them that week I can just spend the days reading everything.
